Why are they making so many Ramayans in the first place?

I love Ramayan and Mahabharata, but I don't I think I would ever want to see so many iterations of Ramayan by Bollywood.

I won’t believe this till they start filming. It would be interesting to see two big actors together. Hrithik is bringing multi starrer back in business, about time. Too many stories to tell, wish khans start collaborating as well with younger actors.
