It shows that people are tired of Akshay releasing crap movies every other month. 

If this has worked, more filmmakers would have started releasing movies. Now people will go back to OTT. Maybe nobody wanted to buy Bellbottom after him dumping Laxmi Bomb on them. 😂

Salman being 30 in sultan was more believable than Akshay being 32 in bell bottom. 🤣

Better than Bhuj The Pride For India, for sure, but that's not saying much. Akki has done far better movies in the similar space before.  

Just done with the show. It's the same old one time watch  Akshay Kumar movie. Huma Qureshi was in for 5 minutes and she had more screen time than vani kapoor (who in the right mind would accept this role? ) overall it felt like poor version of Airlift and ek the tiger combined.

Bell Bottom has collected 2.50-2.75 crore nett apprx on day one and although this is a low number and far lower than than the industry thought it is pretty much on the expected lines due to the limited release and 50% occcupancy rule. It did look as it will comfortably top 3 crore nett at around 2pm but collections slowed in the late evening and night in Delhi NCR which was also expected but you always hope other areas can push to equal out this expected slowdown but it was not to be. The film could finish a little higher if West Bengal can get some better collections from single screens where it has the best single screen release compared to  any circuit. 

The importance of Delhi is huge as around 20% of the all India collections are coming from one city and that is not including the satellite towns of NCR. There are little plusses in Kolkata and Hyderabad in some properties also but they hardly matter in the overall scenario. The mass markets have restricted collections with CPCI Rajasthan, UP and Bihar having low numbers. Hindi films which reach so many states need the bulk of these to have the potential to collect and that can only happen when the flow of releases start and with Maharashtra closed this cannot happen. 

The film can still run well at this level and sustain but that depends on the audience response and if that is there then the film will continue to collect well for a few weeks due to the very limited audience initially. The weekend numbers will be better and with Chandigarh allowing night shows it could be more areas of Delhi city also allow night shows over the next few days.

With this opening , Akshay has stopped others to release their movies in coming months 😆. He needs only 18-19 crores more I think to deliver his first highest grosser of the year.

Using the 50% occupancy rule as a reason a movie is doing 15-20% occupancy is nonsensical.  Losing Maharashtra - that's signiciant
