Every month the Fanfiction Development Team selects two stories to put in the spotlight as a way of appreciating the hard work authors put into crafting and publishing their works with us.
These selections are made solely on the impeccable skills presented through the usage of correct punctuation and grammar, sentence structures, coherency, creativity and plot. Please bear in mind that popularity or number of comments/likes played no part in the selection of these stories.

Synopsis: Karna promised his mother that her five sons will survive the war and when the promise is fulfilled, it fills Arjun with nothing but regret. A peek into the thoughts of Karna and Arjun as Karna breathes his last.
About the Author
Shirisha is from Odisha and is currently pursuing her Master of Philosophy in Psychology. She’s a classical and folk dancer as well as a classical singer. She teaches Odishi in a renowned music and dance institute located in Odisha.
Inspired by her grandmother who used to write poems, Shirisha wrote her first story when she was in fourth class. The couple she pens most of her stories on is Arnav and Khushi from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. In regards to her favourite genres, she likes romance and supernatural, mixed with some drama.
Her favourite authors are Jane Austen, J.K. Rowling for her Harry Potter series, Durjoy Dutta, and Ravinder Singh for I Too Had a Love Story.
Other than the aforementioned creative arts, Shirisha also dabbles in Photoshop.
On India-Forums, she has been an assistant writer in the Bollycurry team and is currently a FanFiction Graphicer Rookie.

Synopsis: Krishna is considered the God of love. He loved all living beings in this universe as his close associates. His main reason to touch this earth is to teach the intricacies of love to mankind. Surprisingly love always searched for him, called him, adored him, married him, lived with him as his many consorts and maidens. In all this war and peace with love, he searched for selfless love and ultimately realized that he got that boon only from Radha.
About the Author
A daughter, sister, wife and mother, Madhuri is a woman who has lived a life filled with myriad colours.
Her writing journey began from a young age when she would scribble on the white side of advertisement pamphlets because she was told not to waste paper. She gains her inspiration from her natural surroundings like the sun rising in the morning, the moon shining at night, or the frantic calls of the spring garden through their sweet fragrances.
She has written many fanfictions on Shiv and Anandi from Balika Vadhu but her most favourite pairing to write on is Radha Krishna.
Her favourite genres to read and write in are political criticism, social commentary and reflections on humanity. She is currently writing a short story on COVID which reflects these genres. She likes the novels she reads to be character-driven rather than plot-driven such as those found in a bildungsroman. She also likes to write in magical realism as they truthfully depict the world but have their own magical twist to it. She refers to herself as a personalized writer as she puts in a lot of her emotions, personal experiences and opinions into her writing pieces.
She has a very long list of favourite authors but some of them include Leo Tolstoy, Jane Austen, Hemingway, George Eliot, Fitzgerald, Faulkner, Ayn Rand, our own Chetan Bhagat, Amrita Pritam, Jhumpa Lahiri, Rabindranath Tagore, Sarath Chandra, and Vikram Seth.
Other than reading and writing, she likes to paint and is a classical dancer.
On India-Forums, she is a Viewbie and a FanFiction Editor.
