I haven't noticed this for the first time but seems like

Dadi is not too fond of Kartik

My guess is because his idealogies are different than ahan sonu...he is more modern and pumba wants to be in control of her grandkids life

Ahaan-Sonu and Ishqi-Kartik scenes were so so good. If we get such scenes it is fine to get less Ishqaan.
