I really really loved the episode.
I loved how Pallavi saw through Sanki's farce. He didn't come to take Pallavi back because he cares for her, but because he wants to hurt Raghav. He wanted to stab him in the heart and twist the knife, but Pallavi took the knife out of his hands.
We were expecting such a scene much later in the show but we got this already. Which means sanki is not likely to come back to take her home. Anyway, he doesn't care about her. He is here for his pride and upon being instigated by Mansi. Removing Pallavi from Raghav's sphere would have been Sanki's first step towards stripping Raghav of power over them because he wants him out of the house and out of their lives. There were some awesome dialogues there from Raghav, but also from Pallavi. In these few months she got to know him better than anyone else. She realized that sanki again came there based on obscure proofs and not because he genuinely believed her. I'm glad she had that flashback of being thrown out of the house based on someone else's words. The reverse was happening today but again based on someone else's words.
Raghav was initially shocked and elated that she'd support him and that she refused to go with sanki. I think at that moment he felt that it's because she wanted this marriage and wanted to show her support. I liked the fact that she clarified that she wasn't standing up for him just because they are married but because she's standing up for the truth as she always does. This time he's right so she's with him and not out of a sense of duty or obligation. Also loved her indirectly calling her FIL kaan ka kachcha. Ayi knew that staying with Raghav was better for Pallavi but she didn't want to upset her husband further. Also, Milind seems to be going in a strange direction.
Props to the team for the way they shot this very important scene in such a small space. The way she walked back from the door and literally stood by her husband, with her back straight and eyes shining, was really symbolic. It also showed that she'd rather be in this cage of uncertainty and truth with Raghav than experience so-called freedom in the known settings of D-fam where truth is as clear as mud. To think after all this, Raghav will still go back to live in that house for the rest of the month with those awful people (minus Ayi).
I didn't really like the over the top mantras in the background because it felt like I was watching some saas-bahu serial but I get it that they were doing this for TRP audiences plus trying to show him thinking about the trust part of their relationship beyond just the basic marital bond. Sai was just damn good conveying Raghav's changing emotions as his heart breaks on hearing his Amma's harsh words, followed by the incredulous yet heart melting moment seeing Pallavi stand up for him and also challenge everyone else. He's always seen her be soft and gentle with her family but seeing her all fiery and being vocal about her thoughts caught him by surprise. The fire that burns in him was also visible in her, and I don't think he ever expected to see this. I think it's really in this scene that their souls finally recognized one another, even if they don't know it year.
Seeing Ayi and Pallavi up close has definitely given him a point of reference as to what mother-child bonding should be, and he talked about it in the precap. I am so glad they are addressing the emotional distance that we've all been talking about here. I want to see him spend time with Ayi, he needs that maternal love and I don't see Amma obliging just yet. She's too hardened.
