Part 1

Raghuveer lived in London for many years with his family though he belonged to Punjab.

His family comprises his wife - Sarla, and two daughters - Preeta and Srishti. He has been feeding pigeons in London in the morning as he used to do in Punjab and runs a retail shop with many items.

Raghuveer is a very conservative and orthodox person who doesn't speak much. The story begins with a song:

Ho koyal kuke hook uthaye

Raghuveer leaves after feeding the pigeons and is on his way.

Is gaanv ki anpadh mitti

Raghuveer opens his shop and starts the day with his prayers.

The phone rings.

Raghuveer sees Sarla's call and picks it up.

Raghuveer: Yes, Sarla. I am in my shop now.

Sarla, with a smile, said, "Fine."

Srishti is having her breakfast and starts giggling.

Sarla: What is the matter?

Srishti: Dad goes to the same place, taking the same route. Yet you ask him whether he is safe.

Sarla: That is called concern which converts into the habit over some time.

Srishti: My teacher says that if habits don't change with time, they will become needs.

Sarla: Stop being philosophical. Why do you talk like the ones who are much older than you? 

You are 20 years old. So talk according to your age.

Srishti: Age is only a number. I only told what I felt.

Sarla: Ok, now you get ready for school & eat her head.

Srishti packs her bags with required books & goes to the college.

Meanwhile, Preeta is inside her balcony, trying to recollect her dream boy.

Sarla calls, "Preeta."

Suddenly, Sarla takes Preeta's private diary & starts reading it.

Preeta sees that & snatches it.

Sarla: Let me read what you have written. You wrote so many exciting things.

Preeta: When I read your private things, will you keep quiet? Then why are you reading my stuff?

Sarla: Is there anything to hide from a mother? Once a child attains youth, a mother becomes a friend. You can share your feelings with me as a friend & I will help you as a friend & as a mother in every possible way.

Preeta: Will you keep it a secret?

Sarla: Yes, I won't tell anyone.

Preeta: Fine, I will read. For the first time in my 17th & 18th year, I happened to see a stranger entering my thoughts. 

Sarla: That sounds interesting. Have you seen his face?

Preeta: No, he is unknown & unseen.

Sarla: Good imagination, I wish you get such a nice guy, but such boys don't exist.

She leaves.

Preeta to herself: My gut feeling says that he exists. I agree that I never saw him, but he lives.

Preeta imagines the guy playing a rugby match where he dodges the opponents & wins the game for his team.

The background song is:

Preeta goes to the bathroom & comes out with a bath towel. She dances & jumps from one bed to another.  Karan, on the other hand, is taking part in the car race & wins it. He also chases the flight.

Karan dives into the swimming pool.

Preeta & Sarla dance together. She then puts her head on Sarla's lap. Karan takes part in bowling & smashes all bottles using a single ball. He then drives his bike & gives a lift to a girl.

Preeta starts dancing in the rain.

She lies down on the artificial grass.

Karan suddenly comes out of the swimming pool & goes to the college for his convocation certificate.

The principal announced a 100 percent result.

Karan sees his mark sheet where he finds less percentage.

He comes home.

Mahesh: Congratulations, you are the first person in the family to graduate. 

He then shows the pictures of their ancestors.

Mahesh: Your great grandfather never studied, but he was streetsmart. Your grandfather failed in the fourth standard & I flunked in my tenth standard. But I took my father's business to great heights & have become a billionaire. Let me tell you one thing. These days, the education system is very much pathetic. They are only bread-oriented & job-oriented. But, you will get a practical education in my office.

Karan: I would like to go on a trip to Europe for two months, but now I feel that I should assist you as you are aging.

Mahesh: That's quite refreshing. I never got that privilege, but I want to feel my youth in you. Enjoy yourself.

Karan: Thank you, Dad. You are the best.

Raghuveer gets a marriage proposal for Preeta from Prithvi's father, Avinash & shares it with everyone in the house.

Part 2

Preeta walks off to her room and is sad.

Raghuveer: Preeta became very shy, which means that she still values us a lot. Avinash and I have been friends for twenty years. Now, Prithvi has completed his BE and will assist his father in his business. We already discussed converting our friendship into a relationship, and I am excited that our day has come.

Sarla: I can understand your joy, but many years have passed, and things would have changed a lot. Is it not necessary to consult Preeta at least once?

Raghuveer: No need as Preeta and Prithvi know each other since childhood and are already engaged. I'm sure that he will keep our daughter happy. I will reply to his letter right away.

He leaves.

Sarla goes to Preeta's room.

Preeta: I never expected such a thing would happen. It seems that my dreams have shattered. It means that I don't have any right to dream.

Sarla: Never say that, my child. You dream, but don't expect it to get fulfilled. Who knows? Prithvi might be the one you have seen.

Both hug each other.

Srishti goes to college. 

Sameer sees her and gets mesmerized by her beauty.

Srishti trips onto a stone and is about to fall. 

Sameer holds her.

Both share an eyelock.

Sameer: Hi, I am Sameer.

Srishti: I am Srishti.

Sameer: Nice name.

Srishti smiles: Thank you. 

Meanwhile, Karan persuades his friends, Gautam, Dev, and Shiv, to come to Europe. Everyone agrees.

Meanwhile, Dhara, Rishita, and Ravee met Preeta and said, "We plan to trip to Europe. If you join us, it would be great."

Preeta: You know my dad very well. He had sent me to the college with great difficulty and never allowed me to go to the camps. Do you think he will let me know?

Rishita: It's just a matter of two months. I know you are smart enough to convince him.

Preeta: When he never let me go for one day, do you think he will give me permission for two months?

Ravee: If you want, we will talk to your dad.

Preeta: Fine, I will speak to my dad if he permits me then, fine.

Preeta goes home.

Preeta: My friends are planning for a Europe trip & they want me to join them.

Sarla: I have no problem, but you know your dad very well. He is a hard nut to crack. You speak to him. If he agrees, then I have no problem.

Preeta prays to God to put Raghuveer in a good mood.

Meanwhile, Karan, Dev, & Shiva are inside the car near Raghu's stores.

Raghuveer is about to close for the day.

Shiva goes to the store & said, "I need a beer."

Raghuveer: Come tomorrow. It's closing time now.

Shiva: Please, Sir.

Raghuveer: When I say no, it is a no. Get out.

Shiva comes out.

He said, "He is hot-headed."

Karan: I will go.

Raghuveer is about to close the shutters.

Karan: Hello Sir, I need a disprin.

Raghuveer: I have already closed the shop.

Karan: Please, Sir, I have a scorching headache & will faint on the way. Only an Indian can help an Indian.

Raghuveer: Ok.

He opens the shop.

Raghuveer: Come in

Karan comes in.

Raghuveer: Here is the disprin.

Karan: I am very sorry for making you open the shop for a small pill. I want to take something else. I want to buy beer.

Raghuveer fumes.

Karan: I don't want for myself. I want it for my friends.

Raghuveer: You insolent lier, claiming to be an Indian. You won't get anything now. Get out.

Karan: Don't be angry, Sir. Here is the amount. Please take it.

Raghuveer: Go.

Karan: Fine, I will go.

Raghuveer was about to leave.

Karan quickly takes the bottles with the tray & leaving the money.

He joins Dev & Shiva.

Meanwhile, Preeta & Srishti start dancing.

Sarla sees them & dances in the kitchen.

The doorbell rings.

Preeta & Srishti get into their reading mode.

Sarla opens the door.

Sarla: How is it that you are late today?

Raghuveer: A loafer claimed that he is an Indian & forcefully took the beer during closing time. He neither has manners nor does he have any respect towards elders. Thank God our daughters didn't get influenced by this western culture.

He goes to the room.

Srishti: Now, it is doubtful whether you will be able to convince dad.

Preeta earnestly prays to God with complete devotion. Raghuveer sees that & smiles.

Raghuveer: Today, you have impressed me. Please tell me what you want.

Preeta: Dad, I have never asked anything from you till now & have always obeyed you. I have a desire to go with my friends on a trip to Europe before my marriage.

Raghuveer becomes silent.

Preeta: Please, dad. I have always obeyed you. Please grant my request once. It is the first & the last time. I have never seen Europe, but I have not seen the guy whom I would marry, yet I have no complaints as you would have thought about my happiness. Please give me two months of my life.

Raghuveer & Srishti come there.

Raghuveer smiles: Permission granted. Go Preeta. Lead your life. Srishti, if you want, you can join them.

Both hug each other.

Sristi: Wow.

Sameer joins Karan for the European trip.

The entire group leaves for Europe.

All boys & girls are in Eurail, waiting for Karan & Preeta.

Karan & Preeta come to the platform, looking for the train.

Karan & Preeta come there but runs in opposite directions.

Karan finally gets inside the train & waits for Preeta, who comes running.

Karan holds Preeta's hand & helps her to get inside the train.

The train starts.

Nice introduction. Shrishti sarla scene was hilarious. Sarla says that such boys do not exist.but preeta is right.her man exists.thw song sequence was very nice.in the movie raj failed.but I think in this ff he didn't fail..just got low marks.mahesh is such a cool father.

Sarla is right.raghuveer should have asked preeta.sarla preeta scene was very emotional. But you have put sarla shrishti's pic.shrishmeer scene was romantic. Surprised to see PS jodies as preeran's friends.karan fooling raghuveer was funny.glad that shrishmeer are also joining them for the trip. sameer is karan's friend.never thought so as he is in shrishti's college.karan helping preeta to enter the train was romantic. Superb pics.
