What is Ninad - Ashwini’s story?

Why did they get married when there is not an iota of love or respect in that relationship? Who was Ninad’s ex (Bhavani’s sister I once read on Wikipedia but it’s not there anymore)? And why didn’t Ninad marry his ex? Does Ashwini know about his ex? 

Yeah I too read about that mentioned in Wikipedia.  But now it is not there. I think Ninad & Ashwini's marriage is a compromised one, just like sai & virat. May be before marriage ninad loved someone but couldn't marry her . Bhavani would have forced ninad to marry Ashwini . 🙄🙄

If they show this angle in the show then we would understand properly.

Don't know about Bhavani's sister being Ninad's ex, but yes Ninad had a love interest (if we follow KD) and couldn't marry that person because in KD they're middle class family and the love interest was from a high class family. Here they may show according to some like she didn't want to Marry an Army man
