The only way they could have gotten audience to root for BriDha even a lil bit was if Brij truly respected her as a human being and then wanted the family to accept her, but when he himself sees her as a trophy wife, doosro se kya ummeed kare? There was the first episode when he met her and married her and I had a lil empathy for him ki theek hai he needed a female companion in his life, maybe he will educate her and get her respect in society or something. But ever since then he has tried to prove his masculinity on Radha in different ways, physically, emotionally and verbally abusing her, and it is utterly disgusting when he has a niece of almost the same age in the house. When he went to Uday with the hockey stick and asked him to accept her, that was also emotional blackmail coz he knows how much he wants his father to approve his dreams. Grahan lag gaya RadHay ke life mein, sacchi! And it will become worse when Radha tries to support VashMay despite not being blood family and the elder Sahani brothers will make it worse for them

He married her to satisfy his ego... The mohalla people made fun of him after the kurta tearing fiasco... He took it on his ego and married her... Radha didn't have any other options so she agreed.... She didn't know this so called husband will treat her like an animal. 

Emotional blackmail runs in their bloodline... All the 3 elder sahanis do that... Even yesterday, lalaji did emotional blackmail uday into accepting Radha.
