So I am making a theory becoz I always wanted Mafia Vansh...I know its never going to happen in the show but let me say it🤭
I think Vansh's family is into illegal business(as shown in 1st episode also of which I am damn sure cvs have forgotten)and we know Vansh has inherited this business from his father as dialogues are there in show earlier ki apne papa ki death ke baad usne business sambhal liya aur unke business mein bahut khatra hai.
And I think maybe Riddhima's father is some police man or investigating agent who was after his father and have got many proofs to arrest his father due to which his father planned a murder of her mother father showing it as an accident.Thats why her mother's belonging like that locket and car was taken and hidden so that it can't be proven as a murder and also using their power.
And when Vansh grew up his father may have told him about it and he never took it seriously but now after looking that locket with Riddhima he connected dots and terrified to loose her as it will also bring out his dark side of illegal businesses and also that his own father murdered her family and made her orphan.
So in this way it can justify his obsession and desperation to hide this truth from her and Kabir wants it out.
Becoz he told Riddhima he isnot a criminal becoz he never murdered someone but maybe he is into shady bussinesses and according to Riddhima that also will be again morals and with this she would also want to give justice to her parents which in turn will put Vansh's whole family into danger thus justifying Kabir's dialogue that you both will become each other's biggest enemies.Maybe kabir get to know all this through AP who came to know through his father and thats the reason Kabir chose Riddhima for this mission.

Kabir says they both are sharing the same pain. While her parents were lost in her childhood and his mother was taken away from him because of Vansh. Ridhima moves away but Kabir knows he is making her doubts on Vansh increase once again. Ridhima feels she got Vansh back after so many hurdles and she cannot let anyone come between them. Ridhima says she tried to know the truth but will make sure no hurdles come in the relation.

This time, for a second, if we leave what's the truth of Ridhima's parents, both are trying to not hurt each other. Vansh doesn't want to lose Ridhima due to his past, while Ridhima doesn't want to lose him, because of her doubts. But then again, when the girl asked about the second half - he does lie to her very convincingly.
Ridhima reaches to the orphanage, guys that's the entrance of VR Mansion. So mansion turned into an orphanage. Vansh sees Ridhima and hides. Ridhima asks about her past while Vansh is watching while hiding from her.
Precap: Warden says her parents met with an accident. Vansh says she is digging the past which is very dangerous. Vansh goes on to check an old ambassador while Ridhima hears the sound of removing something.
P:S - Whatever the truth is it is very personal to Vansh. Remember when Kabir entered VR mansion for the first time as the police, Dadi told Vansh, the first time cops entered when his father was dead. So, something is related to definitely with his father.
Either his father is the person who killed or Anurpiya, we can take Rudr here and blamed him. Vansh might be knowing the truth his father didn't kill but then again who did it - no one knows.
If not, there is more the accident. Might be related to his parents only but something darker as he said his relationship will be at stake and he cannot lose her. I can see the obsessive Vansh here; Hope it runs at the same pace :)
Usually this kind of track it is the lead who cause the accident.

Again the error is that he didnt tell her about the locket; but hey this is tv fiction. She is of course going to spy and this time he is afraid that when she finds out full story he will lose her.
Vansh and family know something -maybe not all - whether he parents died accidentally or deliberately we will eventually find out
Kabir has planned this so he knows something as well - how did he get hold of pictures of her as a baby?
Question is does Rhiddima genuinely not know whole story of how they died or is she pretending? If she is pretending it means she is real MM & all was planned by her to get to mansions to take revenge. So that separation scene might just come.
A thought has just flashed into my mind at her engagement scene she goes to light diya and swears that she will make sure the guilty are punished. At that time I thought she meant Vansh and his crimes as she believed Kabir when he told her that VR was a white collared criminal and of course the way she was forced into engagement makes that scene very believable
BUT if she is pretending & is in mansions to seek revenge than that scene about making sure the wrongdoers are punished by her and Bappa might just be about seeking justice for her parents
I dont know who did what so I am just going to enjoy the ride. It feels the show is finite so perhaps we might only have a few months left..whatever it is I am enjoying RiAnsh and Immhj 2 story.
