Sorry guys for the late update!!! was kind of busy with Pongal celebrations at home. Here we go...... tada....

Part 2

Virat was about to enter his room to sort it out with Sai whereas Sai did not want to talk to him. She was really thinking hard to find ways to escape from talking with him. She knew they will end up with an ugly fight if they start sorting the issue now. She had already decided to give him a cold shoulder so that he realises his mistake on his own and also probably understand what Pakhi and other family members are trying to prove. Before Virat could call her, he got a call from his senior official. Though his face clearly read that he was pissed with the call at the moment, still he had no option than to attend as it was an important discussion on a new case which he was going to lead. Virat went to the balcony to attend the call as it was confidential and here, Sai quickly finished her dinner, closed her books and got into the bed not forgetting to build the Singarh fort.

It was almost 11 PM and Virat was on call. Sai drifted to sleep with a heavy heart and a lot of questions raising every now and then for which there were no answers or probably she needs to brainstorm her to find them out. The final call before Virat could call the day off was from Brigadier Sood.

Virat: Yes Sir (in an erect position)

Br.Sood: Virat, I have some good news for you.

Virat (face lit up): Kuch pata chala Samrat ke baare mein??

Br.Sood: Haan. Kuch information mili hai jiske saath hum usko aasani se doondh paayenge.

Virat: That's a great news Sir. Really thankful to you.

Br.Sood: Waise hum chahthe hai ki tum Ladakh aa jao immediately aur personally apna investigation karo. I want this to be unofficial from your side taaki koi shak na ho. DIG se permission le li hai maine. Its all confidential.

Virat: Sure Sir. Aap saare details bhej dijiye aur main dekh loonga.

Br.Sood: Good. Jai Hind

Virat: Jai Hind.

Virat was literally on cloud nine now. He was very happy that his Jeeva would be soon found. He decided to take Sai along with him so that it would serve as an unofficial trip and also, he would get some quality time with her far away amidst the snow filled hills. He quickly ran to his room to share the news with Sai but to his disappointment he saw her fast asleep on the other side of Singarh fort. He sighed and let out a smile looking at her sleeping form promising himself that,

"Main sab theek kar doonga Sai humare beech". He whispered to her, "Tumhari berukhi, beparvah, baat na karna..... pata nahi kyun mujhse sahi nahi jaati. Maine hi tumse kaha ki mujhse koi umeed mat rakhna aur main tumse nahi rakhta par ab pata nahi tum chup hoti ho to aisa lagata hai ki zindagi suna suna hai.... Sai....Ye sab kyun aur kya hai jaan nahi paa raha hoon main." (he caressed her forehead with tender hands so as to not disturb her). Looking at her, he fell asleep slowly with his head resting on the pillow wall.

It was 8.00 AM in the morning. Virat woke up to the sound of his phone's ring and realised that it was too late. He had decided to drop Sai in the college today so that he would get sometime with her on the way. This week was going to be hectic for him due to the new case and he would probably be in for a night duty too. So he did not want to miss the chance of being with her even if its only for an hour. He quickly rushed to the bathroom, got ready and came down to the breakfast table where the Chavan gang was sitting.

Sitting on his chair, he eyes were constantly searching for only one person. He was getting restless on not finding her and it did not go unnoticed by his mom.

Pakhi served him the breakfast and tea commenting: "Waise tum jise doondh rahe ho wo yahan nahi hai, Virat. Hum sabko chodo, usse to tumhari bhi fikar nahi. Matlab tumhare liye bhi nahi ruki. Bas yun aayi aur apna dabba pack karke chali gayi."

Bhavani winking at Pakhi for starting the session brilliantly. Bhavani continued, "Dekh na Virat tu uske itna kuch karta hai aur wo.... ghar ka kisi bhi kaam mein koi haath nahi bataathi. Maano koi maharani hai jo hum sab uski sevak."

Virat was getting highly irritated now and looked at his Aayi. It was quite evident from her face that she was angry with him. He was expecting her to say something but she did not look at him.

Virat: Aayi, Katte aahe Sai???

Aayi: college yaat gele.

Saying so, Ashwini cleared her plate and went towards her room.
