Ehsaas
Part 1
Virat POV:
The clock chimes at 12 midnight. He is sitting with the support of bedrest looking at her face, across the Singarh Fort wall on their bed.It has been 3 months to their marriage, everything has fallen into routine in his life, be it those silly banters with her or the morning fights over washroom. He has never been this happy in his life, she is the reason he smiles more often nowdays. He is content with his life ,her presence in his life gives him a sense of fulfillment that he never had. She is anything but calm but her presence gives him a serenity that he has never felt even on his solo trips. If anyone, had asked him 3 months ago, after Samrat-Pakhi's wedding how his life would be, he would have told them lonely, full of grief basically anything but happy, but now he cannot explain this Ehsaas to anyone not even to himself. He is a keen observer, he knows he is not the only one who has changed. Sai has changed a lot as well! Oh it is not visible to the naked eye, she still has one hell of a smart mouth, she is still hotheaded, arguing, fighting for right in everyone's life, caring in her own way, silly beyond his belief and cute in her antics but something has changed fundamentally in her. At first, he thought it is due to the tantrums and insults his family throws at her, but she has time and again proved she can take care of them singlehandedly, but still he makes a point to stand by her to shut their over running mouths.He cannot put his finger on exactly what, but something has changed deep down, he knew. She has not complained, if anything she is more understanding of him and his family,oh she still fights for what's right but the ehsaas of this does not leave him. Alas she now understands his friendship with Paakhi better and gives them space, though he never asked for it. She laughs with him, make him laugh as well but it feels there is a wall around her and as much he tries it does not breaks. He has tried riling up her, making her angry , sad ,happy but nothing works on that wall.He has asked her outright as well, she has joked about him being "antaryami" on that statement and quipped and joked about it ever since, but he cannot let go this feeling of something being extremely wrong.
Pakhi's POV
She cannot sleep tonight, but what's new ,it has been her state since Virat has married Sai. She has tried adjusting first to their marriage but she cannot see virat with anyone else. Later, when she went to her mayka and Sai has came and made her realize that virat still has feelings for her, she came back here only to see virat favoring Sai and she has gone mad with jealousy. She started putting Sai down in front of whole family, but more she accused Sai the more Virat favored her.Then Finally, she has controlled her jealousy atleast in front of Virat and since then things has gone back to normal between her and Virat or atleast she thought.Virat now listens to her, talks to her more often and even takes time at evening after work to ask about her well - being. Also, after her last staging of leaving the house drama ,Sai does not poke around or disturb them.But then why it feels that ki "Virat mere sath hokar bhi nahi hai".
Sai's POV:
It's early morning, she has to go to her college. She sits on the bed and look at her side, she can see him sleeping peacefully without the care of the world. She wants to touch his face, she extends her hand but stops in mid air. She remembers that conversation after Pakhi Di left the house , she has seen him being restless, disappointed and it seemed to her that he had no reason to live. That's why she has gone to Pakhi Di's house to say her sorry when she was not even wrong. She understood what Virat feels for Pakhi Di , he even does not know the extent of his feelings. Something broke inside her that day, It did not break when her Father died, nor when she was forced to marry, nor when his family insulted her, but it broke 2 times first when he realized that marrying her was a mistake and second time when Pakhi Di left the house and he berated her for it. She knows that Virat sir is a wonderful man, he has nothing but supportive of her, but what to do of her treacherous heart. She knows she is not his first nor his last, but he was her first even when it was for a namesake relationship. She knows she should not feel like this, he had made it abundantly clear on the day of their marriage that she is not allowed to feel for him.But she is 18 and she already fall for him, but the pain is unbearable and she cannot allow her heart or him to make her go through it again.That's why she has build this wall, she laughs and jokes with him, she shares her dreams and her Aaba's teachings with him.But her sorrows are her own. Her Aaba once told her, ki "Khushi toh sabke saath baati jati hai, par dard sirf apno ke sath." That was her mistake, that was the reason she Started feeling for him, she shared her sorrows with him,but no more.She will never give that power to him again.Her mobile phone chimed alerting of a message that broke her out of her reverie. She Checked the message and face lit up with a smile.It was a Good Morning Message from Jai. This guy can make sun shine in her darkest nights , she thought this and keeping the phone on bedside table went to washroom for freshning up.
