what happens to old bollywood sets?

Posted: 3 years ago

From the 1940's to all the way till 90's, most bollywood productions took place in studios, thats why they use to make great solid sets for the movies. For example Mughal E Azam (1960) had a great set and many other movies from that era. My question is there some sort of a museum where these sets are kept? or were they destroyed with time?

sets are not concrete, they are easily breakable and wouldn't last for this long...it's just a film set and not the taj mahal

They must redesign it and use it for other movies...many sets in the 90s I remember had the same houses and everything.

The RK studio sets were kept for a long time, until they got burned down.

They should be preserved in my opinion, they are related to memories for so many people, including fans, actors, directors, technicians etc..

They dismantle them otherwise they have to pay per day rent to the studios. Which will be very costly.
