Shatranj Ke Khiladi - this is a historical and not a comedy per se, but I watched it recently & found it hilarious in so many parts. It is so so good.  Sanjeev Kumar is fantastic. Also, makers today need to learn from Satyajit Ray how to do a historical movie.
