Kamala Harris' nomination as VP--Your opinion?

Posted: 3 years ago

Will her nomination bring about an end to the racist toxicity of the Trump administration? Will she be able to represent Black women well? Will her becoming VP (If Biden wins) help Black women emerge as stronger players in American politics?

America has a long way to go before racism is eradicated.  But yeah, a Dem win this Nov will sure put an end to the toxicity, divisiveness and unlawful ruler ship and abuse of power by the Trump administration.

Most importantly, am so looking forward to a boring news cycle (like earlier).  Am tired of the endless lawlessness of Trump admin, the absolutely horrendous language and crass behavior by Trump and his cronies.

No matter who is on the VP ticket,  it is going to be an uphill battle to defeat Trump.

Like they say, America will get who it deserves....good or bad.

I personally like Kamala Harris.  I also like Warren, Klobuchar, et all 😊

KH is a historical pick, no doubt. Considering that she is half Jamaican/half Indian, it's one hell of a time right when the US underwent a massive racial injustice reckoning too. If Biden manages to win, yes, the Biden-Harris duo will definitely calm down the racist toxicity that Trump administration dishes out pretty much on a daily basis. At the same time, KH's VP ticket breaks racial and gender barriers and creates more space for brown and black women with political aspirations cuz we now have a representative who is one of us.

I admire KH because she conducts herself very well. I also believe that she is much more than just a woman with cocktail roots. We are dying for someone who is conventionally wise in the middle of Trump's stupidity. Putting aside her gender and color, KH is someone who has proved her political pragmatism time and again, has had a longstanding career in law enforcement and leadership roles, is an amazing debater, orator and has all the qualifications and credentials you want in a leader.

And not to mention, it's a HUGE upgrade from what we have right now--Mike Pence.

After KH made that slip, the next day JB followed with the same slip

Or was it deliberate? Are they’ sending us a message

So you see JB is the VP here 😛

Actually, that's the way it should be. She's gonna be like Dick Cheney, steering the presidency through the figurehead 'president'.
