August 14th Update:

  • Vyasji is upset hearing that Saraswati's last letter was found by the trash. He wants to know who was behind it. Jamuna tells him that Godamvari was the one who cleared out all of Saraswati's last belongings.
  • Godamvari is unable to defend herself, and Vyasji scolds her heavily. He tells everyone that Saraswati may not be there with them in flesh, but she is there in spirit. He punishes Godamvari saying that she won't be allowed to eat or drink anything until the next morning.
  • Chahat tries speaking to Neel but he wishes to be left alone.
  • Godamvari is stuffing herself with food, saying that there's no way she'll be listening to Vyasji. She gets angry at Jamuna for telling Vyasji the truth.
  • Jamuna tells Naveli to tie a rakhi on Neel since he'll be missing Saraswati a lot right now. Godamvari stops her from going saying that it's because of that rakhi that she had to face so much humiliation. If she ties a rakhi on him, then Naveli will have to see Godamvari's dead face. She would also like to see how Neel wears the rakhi given to him by Saraswati.
  • Neel cries, while remembering Saraswati. He promises to honor the rakhi even after she's gone. He will bring her justice. He tries tying the rakhi on himself but he's unable to. He calls for Saraswati to tie it on him.
  • Chahat thinks that the "kanti" must be really important, no wonder Vyasji got so angry at her. She hears Neel crying and checks in on him.
  • She hears him saying that he doesn't deserve the rakhi, and calling himself disgusting because he couldn't remember that it was Rakshabandhan today.
  • She takes off her bracelet and makes a show of it being really important to her because it holds so many memories. She questions what she should do, but says it's okay because even if the bracelet broke, she won't let the memories go away. Moreover, she can wear the bracelet by tying a rubber band around her wrist.
  • Neel picks up on her words and goes to do the same for himself. He hesitates though saying that it won't be right to tie it with a rubber band. Chahat continues to speak loudly saying that whether the bracelet is tied by herself or with a rubber band, the important thing is that she won't be separated from her loved ones' memories.
  • She goes on to give instructions on how to tie the bracelet with the rubber band. Neel follows along. He gets happy. Whilst looking at Saraswati's photo, he sees Chahat's reflection.
  • Outside, Chahat is still worried about making the kanti.
  • Godamvari, who is trying to shush Golu, asks Chahat if she has made the kanti. Chahat tells her that she was going to make them. Seeing Neel, Godamvari comments on how he has come to save her. Neel declines saying that Vyasji has punished her, so she must go through it alone. He came to shush Golu. Godamvari is stunned since Neel hasn't seen Golu's face till now. Neel says that he wants to see her face a lot but he can't. He tells Godamvari to keep holding Golu, and he'll tell her a fantastic story.
  • He seats Godamvari, and loudly tells the title of the story, "Samajdaar ko ishaara kaafi hai" (roughly translates to, "For the wise, hints are enough"). Chahat wonders what kind of weird title is that. In Neel's story, the protagonist's name is Szechuan Kumari, which Chahat understands is referencing her. In his story, Szechuan Kumari killed an animal in the jungle which angered the king greatly. As punishment, she was exiled to the jungle until she learnt how to love all plants, and animals. He mentions three different plants, and Chahat begins looking for them in the garden that they have. In this similar manner, Neel continues to share the story, and Chahat follows along to gather all the ingredients.
  • Chahat makes the kanti following Neel's coded instructions, and is really happy with the outcome.
  • She goes to show it to Vyasji, and he is pleased with it. He tells her to put this near Ganeshji's idol, and ask him for forgiveness. He further tells her not to make the mistake of killing another life again. He also tells her to remove the sadness from her face since it's in human nature to err.
  • Chahat politely asks Neel if he could put the kanti near Ganeshji's idol instead, since if she did it, she would be disrespecting his religion. She also thanks him for helping her. He shows her the wrist wherein he's wearing the rakhi, and thanks her for it too.
  • Neel tells her that she didn't succeed in killing the mouse. He saw it running towards the holy offerings in the kitchen. Chahat asks Neel why he didn't tell that to Vyasji. Neel says because then she wouldn't have been punished, and he loves seeing her suffer. Chahat yells at him, and Neel tells her to shush as he's praying.
  • Chahat sees a mysterious man outside dropping off a box. She goes out to see who it is but the man is gone. She sees the box and recognizes her father's handicrafts. She thinks her dad has sent the box to her.
  • Godamvari sees Chahat holding a box, and thinks it's the belt that Naveli had ordered that helps to reduce weight. She thinks she'll give Jamuna that belt.
  • She takes the box from Chahat and asks what she was doing looking at her parcel. Chahat denies doing so, saying that somebody had left it behind. Godamvari continues to accuse her of snooping in on her belongings. Chahat tells her that she doesn't think that the parcel belongs to Godamvari. Godamvari doesn't listen and takes it away with her. Chahat worries thinking her dad might have sent a message to her inside. She sees Godamvari open the box, and she's extremely happy. Chahat is wondering why her dad will send her a nose ring. Godamvari asks Chahat what does she want. If she thinks she'll continue to stare at her, and get the jewelry, then she's wrong. Chahat tells Godamvari she just wants to see the box, but Godamvari locks it in her cupboard.
  • Precap: Chahat is asking Ghazala who has her face hidden, if she can tell her who makes the handicrafts for her. Ghazala tells her that she'll have to pay 50, 000 rupees for it. Alekh says that money has been stolen from the safe. Vyasji questions how that can be since he gave Chahat one lakh rupees.

  • Neel tells her that in "Pehli Rasoi" she needs to cook for everyone
  • Chahat apologizes to Neel continuously so that he'll cook for the family instead. She doesn't want them all to go to the hospital during the pandemic by eating the food she has made.

  • Godamvari is about to leave to wash her face, when Vyasji tells her to give the keys to Chahat since she's the new bride and she'll have to take up all the responsibilities
  • Neel intervenes saying that Chahat doesn't deserve the keys as she hasn't done the Pehli Rasoi ritual yet. She can get the keys after it's done
  • Jamuna comments on how Neel has made the ritual into an interesting competition. Neel plays along saying that Chahat will have no problem winning it since she makes better food than him at the hotel
  • Vyasji agrees saying that Chahat will get the keys after the ritual is completed.
  • Neel taunts Chahat and wishes her the worst for the ritual
  • Chahat worries about what she's going to do

August 18th Update:

  • Chahat remembers the simple dal chawal that her father had taught her and plans on making that for everyone
  • Alekh taunts Godamvari about losing the keys
  • Naveli worries about what will happen to her scooter now but Godamvari tells her to shut up as nothing will happen to the keys. The cooker that Chahat is cooking with is defective, and it will explode, harming Chahat. This incident will be recorded as just being another unfortunate accident.
  • Hearing a blast, the three run to the kitchen and see it's a total mess
  • Chahat comes from behind holding Golu. She tells them that since Golu was crying she went to check in on her. Godamvari scolds her for leaving the cooker unattended. She takes Golu and tells Chahat to clean up the place
  • Chahat tries making dal again, but Neel comes around making whistling sounds which confuse Chahat into thinking the dal has cooked before time. When she checks the dal, it isn't cooked. Neel bothers her some more saying that she's not even pretty, or sexy enough that some guy would want to whistle at her, and he's feeling really sorry for her husband. In the meantime, Chahat's tadka burns.
  • Chahat goes to change. Neel puts in a lot of red chilli powder in the dal so that she can't get the keys.
  • During lunch time, Alekh asks if they're only getting dal chawal for lunch. When he and Saraswati had married, she had made six different dishes. Neel jumps in saying that she makes exotic dishes at the hotel all the time and here she has only made simple dishes.
  • Chahat justifies saying that her dad had taught her how to make the dal so it's very special to her. Vyasji is happy with her response as it reflects her pure intentions. He moreover mentions how Draupadi had also served a single grain of rice to Lord Krishna and his hunger was satiated.
  • Neel thinks that Chahat may be getting a lot of praise now, but once Vyasji eats the spicy dal, that won't be the case.
  • Everyone eats, and Vyasji is highly impressed. Neel is shocked because he had added a lot of chillis to it. Jamuna is also very happy with it.
  • Neel tastes it for himself and he's surprised to find it sweet. Godamvari wonders how the sugar laced dal could be spicy (she had added a lot of sugar to it as a way of sabotaging the food.)
  • Chahat is also happy with how it turned out. She gets sad missing her dad. Vyasji notices and tells her that he knows that her dad may not be there to praise her cooking, but he loved it a lot.
  • Vyasji asks Godamvari for the keys. He hands the keys over to Chahat.
  • In their room, Neel is throwing darts on Chahat's photo.
  • Neel asks Chahat for the keys, but she refuses to give it to him. He pulls it from her and saree comes undone. Chahat rebukes him and he tells her that wasn't his intention.
  • He helps her to wear the saree.
  • Chahat takes the keys from him again
  • Neel challenges her that he'll take the keys from her within half an hr as he doesn't trust her intentions with them.

August 19th Update:

  • Chahat tells her mother that as soon as she gets the wooden box, she'll return the keys
  • Jamuna tells everyone that the new location for the safe is best since Chahat now has the keys. Jamuna asks Chahat to give Godamvari money.
  • Alekh makes a comment about how Chahat is taking account of the money. Vyasji is happy since Saraswati used to do the same.
  • Neel tells Chahat to see what he got her: it's a tattoo machine. He tells everyone that Chahat had wanted to imprint his name on her but he had told her to wait till after marriage.
  • Bhopu cries over Sakina since he had tatooed her name on himself, but Sakina refused to do the same since it's not allowed in their religion. Neel gets the idea to do the same with Chahat.
  • He tells her that it's considered haram in her religion, so just give him the keys quietly or she'll have to roam around with his name on her arm forever.
  • Chahat remembers when she had asked her dad for permission to get a tattoo but he had refused it since it's not allowed.
  • Chahat pulls her arm away, saying she's happy that Neel remembered this little fantasy of hers. She asks Naveli, wouldn't it look nice if husband and wife got identical tattoos. Neel isn't happy with this idea. He justifies it saying that as it is he's not fond of them. Jamuna encourages Neel to do the same. The whole family argues over how it's traditional for wives to tattoo their husbands' names, not the other way around.
  • Jamuna asks Vyasji to make the final decision. Vyasji said that Neel had already answered this question during their grah pravesh when he said that he will be by her side forever. He further tells him that if he can be entitled enough to ask Chahat to prove her love for him, then he should have the courage to prove his love for her too.
  • Chahat whispers best of luck to him. When Meera sees her name on his arm, then he can explain it to her.
  • Chahat asks for the tattoo machine, and in their tussle to get it out of Neel's hand, it falls. Neel uses this as an excuse to say that the machine is broken and they'll have to postpone the plan. Godamvari taunts them saying that she would have rather chopped vegetables than see them fight for nothing.
  • Chahat takes the notebook, and keys. She taunts Neel saying that he was going to take the keys from her right?
  • Neel wonders why Chahat needs the keys so badly.
  • Chahat complains about the saree, and wonders how can anyone walk around in them. As she's fixing her pleats, Neel walks into the room half naked and covers himself. She does the same. He asks her if she can't knock before entering. She counters, asking if he couldn't lock the door? Neel comments how she has always had a lustful eye on her and he should have tattooed, "Threat to boys" on her.
  • Chahat scolds him that it's not funny. He has an animosity towards her, so why drag her religion into it? Neel reminds her that she got married into a Hindu family, which is also against her religion. She reminds him that their marriage isn't real. Moreover, she was helpless at the time. She may be liberal, but whenever she gets the time, she tries to read her prayers, and donate to charity. Neel tells her that she's living in a house full of priests, which Chahat agrees to. But she will still try not to do anything that is against Islam. Her religion gives her peace and she won't let him take that away. Neel says he'll be at peace when he can bring his sister to justice. And to make that happen he'll continuously put her in uncomfortable situations. She took up the challenge to save her father, but it won't be easy on her.
  • Neel asks if she was questioning her masculinity, and that's when his towel comes undone. Chahat looks away saying that right now his masculinity is in danger, and to handle himself. Neel runs away to the bathroom.
  • Chahat jumps on the bed, claiming it for herself again. No matter what happens she won't sleep on the floor today, Neel will.
  • Neel comes out and sees Chahat sleeping. He calls out to her but she doesn't wake up.
  • Chahat wakes up later seeing Neel sleeping beside her. She yells at him but he doesn't wake either. She goes out to pinch him, but she gets a shock.
  • He explains to her that neither of them want to sleep on the bed so he has created boundaries between them, and tells her not to cross it.
  • Chahat says that she's not interested in that. She just wants to get to her father's box.
  • She goes to the safe, and sees the box. She examines it and sees her father's initials carved into it.
  • Neel calls out to her from behind, saying that he's been trying to find her and he's going to chop her into pieces now. Chahat realizes that Neel is sleepwalking.
  • She takes him back upstairs to their room. She removes the shocking device between them, and rolls Neel over to his side. She comments on how she'll have to keep an eye on him now since she can't trust when he'll wake up. She'll have to look at the box in the morning.
  • Neel wakes up with a headache. When he asks Chaht if he sleep walked again, Chahat refuses to tell him the truth. She asks if he has that habit, and he tells her that he did but not anymore.
  • He goes to get a pill for his headache, and Chahat uses this opportunity to check out the box. She calls up the jeweler hoping that she can get some clue as to where the box is from. She gets the carver's number.
  • Neel is on the other line listening to her conversation. He's sure that if Dr. Baig has truly carved the box then Chahat will try to get to him for sure. He's glad that his act of sleepwalking paid off.

August 20th Update:

  • Chahat gets the name and number of the person who's responsible for the box carvings
  • Neel dismisses the whole matter believing it to be Chahat's mistake
  • Chahat thinks that because her dad is undergoing a financial crisis, he must be selling the boxes to Mrs. Srivastava
  • Because the home phone was busy, she does a video call on her personal phone
  • Ghazala tells Rahil to hurry up with the boxes as even she's living under a new identity as a married Hindu woman
  • Seeing Chahat on the other side of the video call, Ghazal covers herself up
  • Chahat asks who did the carvings and wishes to get his number. Ghazala tries to refute the manner saying that she might be trying to poach the carver. She says that she'll give the information in exchange for Rs. 50, 000. Chahat immediately agrees. Ghazala gives Chahat an address to meet at.
  • Vyasji gives Chahat money belonging to the temple's fund and tells her to keep it in the safe. Godamvari interferes saying that is she even ready to take on the responsibilities? Vyasji says of course she is since she's the DIL of the house. Godamvari points out how she finds that hard to believe since Chahat barely wears the sindoor and mangalsutra. She questions whether if Neel has married a Muslim since they find all of this to be forbidden. Vyasji also asks why she doesn't put on the sindoor since it signifies a woman's good luck.
  • Chahat says that she's allergic to sindoor. Neel had put it on her during the grahpravesh day, but she couldn't sleep all night. She had to take medicines in order to do so. As for the mangalsutra, she's a chef and they're not allowed to wear ornaments while working. If she starts wearing it now just to keep the family happy then it wouldn't be fair.
  • Godamvari says that she doesn't agree with her since sindoor and mangalsutra are symbols of a married woman. Vyasji says that sindoor may be proof of a married woman, but it's destiny that's proof of love and that was proven when they had taken their marital vows. Moreover, if Neel has no problem with Chahat not wearing sindoor or mangalsutra, then they shouldn't either.
  • He gives her the money and tells her to keep it in the locker.
  • Chahat remembers the woman asking for Rs. 50, 000. She tells her mother that she knows that what she's thinking is wrong but she's really desperate to see her dad. For now she'll take the money from the temple fund and then replace it later on.
  • Neel sees her take half the money, and wonders if she's trying to get to her father. He lets her do what she wants for now, so that he can follow her closely.
  • When Jamuna asks for baingan ka bharta, Godamvari tells him they don't have eggplants. Chahat uses this as an opportunity to go out of the house.
  • Chahat is asking for a lift, when she bumps into an old man who falls down. She helps him up. It's actually Neel in disguise. When he sniffs her, Chahat tries to get away from him. She tells him that if he weren't so old then she would have taught him a lesson. Chahat leaves, and Neel says that he won't let go of her so easily.
  • Godamvari is crying about losing the locker keys. Alekh tells her to cut it out. He tells her that he has a plan on how to get the keys back. They just need to steal money from the safe and blame it all on Chahat.
  • Alekh tells Vyasji that he thought of donating some money from the temple fund to charities dedicated to COVID relief. Vyasji tells him to wait till Chahat comes back since she has the keys. Alekh says that it's urgent since the money needs to go to the hospital. Vyasji goes to get the master key.
  • Chahat wants to contact Mrs. Srivastava but she remembers that her phone doesn't have a SIM card in it. She tries to find someone whose phone she can borrow, but bumps into the same old man. She asks him if he's following her. The old man tries to get romantic with her saying that he was trying to find a fourth wife and he has now found her.
  • Chahat watches him suspiciously since his beard is coming loose.
  • He comments on how his religion Islam allows a man to marry four times. Chahat gets ticked, and argues that Islam may permit a man to marry four times, but that doesn't mean that it's encouraged. Otherwise it wouldn't be written in the Quran that a man should have four wives when he can treat them equally, and should give them their rights. This provision has been written out to support women, not give shameless men like him a free pass.
  • She tries to get away from him but he continues to follow her. She questions him if he only remembered the marrying four wives part of Islam, and not how to respect women? It'll be better for him if he spent his remaining days remembering Allah, and not chasing after women.
  • The old man picks up a metal post and tells her that he still has a lot of life in him left. He offers her a flower, and Chahat tries to shoo him away saying that she's already married.
  • When she comments to herself that she needs a phone right now, not a husband, the old man offers his phone to her but Chahat refuses it.
  • Neel thinks of her to be quite dumb since she came to meet her dad with a phone that has no SIM card.
  • He goes after her again, and Chahat once again tells him to leave. She continues to worry about the phone. Seeing another stranger pass by, she asks to borrow their phone. She calls Mrs. Srivastava and informs her that she has reached the address. Ghazala asks if she has brought the money to which Chahat confirms. She further tells Chahat to come to Gate No. 5. Chahat returns the phone. Neel is still spying on her.

August 21st Update:

  • Chahat waits for Mrs. Srivastava. Ghazala comes up behind her with her face covered. Neel wonders who Chahat is talking to.
  • Chahat asks Mrs. Srivastava why she came alone as she was supposed to bring the artisan with her. Ghazala tells her that she can meet the artisan after she has given the money.
  • Vyasji gives Alekh the master key and tells him to take the money out of the safe. When he goes to do so he sees that half the money is missing. He tells Vyasji that money has been stolen from the safe. Godamvari asks Alekh that they haven't stolen anything yet and Alekh tells her that money has really been stolen. Godamvari creates a scene, and Alekh adds on that Rs. 50, 000 are missing. Vyasji wonders how can that happen since he gave 1 lakh to Chahat. Godamvari questions whether she stole the money. She had already said that Chahat isn't ready for the responsibility.
  • Chahat refuses to pay Mrs. Srivastava until she meets with the artisan. Ghazala says that she also won't leave until she gets the money. She tries to snatch her purse but Chahat puts up a fight. She tries to remove Ghazala's dupatta but she gets pushed aside. Ghazala runs away.
  • Chahat is happy seeing her purse, but upset that the woman ran away. She was reaching out for her purse, when another man takes it from her. She tries to get it back from him, but the man makes some really crude sexual remarks towards her. He tries to forcibly take her with him, but Neel intervenes telling him to let go of her. Chahat wonders why she's meeting all the freaks today. She tells him to call the police and not try to be a hero. Neel tells her that he can handle him on her own. When the man questions who Chahat is to him, Neel comments that she's his wife. They both get into a fight, and Neel tells him to never make such dirty remarks against women ever again. The man throws dirt into Neel's eyes which hurt him. The man takes advantage of this and tries to beat him. Chahat takes the fallen cane and beats up the man instead. Neel, still blinded by the dirt, takes swings in the open air and asks, "How dare he say something like that to his wife?" Chahat beats him up as well. Neel climbs over a fence and takes off his beard revealing himself to be Neel. Chahat finally stops hitting him, and he falls over.
  • Back home, Jamuna says that he has full faith in Chahat and that she will never steal money. Godamvari says that Chahat hasn't even given anyone her phone number yet. She had gone out to get vegetables and she's still not back. This proves that she stole the money. She tells Vyasji that she knows he thinks that she's always suspecting Chahat but this act proves her suspicions to be true. Alekh adds on saying that she has betrayed Vyasji's trust as he used to think that Chahat is Saraswati's shadow. But she in fact is a snake. He asks Shivji why he's doing this to Vyasji. He still hasn't come to terms with Sarswati's death, and he has brought on more problems to his life. Vyasji says to call Neel as he would know where Chahat is.
  • Chahat questions Neel as to why he was following her disguised as an old man and he tells her that he saw her take money out of the safe. He wants to know who that woman was that she was meeting up with. Chahat tells him who she is, and what happened in regards to Mrs. Srivastava. Neel asks her if she's crazy that she would meet random people like that without any regards to her life. What if something had happened to her or died? Chahat yells back, that she doesn't care. It's better to die than living a life in hell with him.
  • Vyasji calls Neel and tells him to bring Chahat home as he has some questions for her. Neel tells Chahat that they need to go home immediately.
  • Godamvari accuses Chahat of being a thief the second she stepped into the house. Jamuna tells her to relax for a bit. Godamvari questions Jamuna that Chahat can steal money from the safe but she can't even ask questions.
  • Neel wonders that if Chahat tells everyone the truth then she won't be allowed to stay home. If that happens, then he won't be able to get to Baig.
  • Jamuna asks Vyasji to talk some sense into Godamvari. Vyasji says that he won't stop Godamvari today as she's not wrong. He asks Chahat if she took Rs. 50, 000 from the safe. Neel intervenes saying that Chahat is his wife, she doesn't need to steal for any reason. Godamvari comments on how it hasn't even been four days since their marriage and he's already taking her side. Saraswati used to look after the money for years and a single penny was never misplaced. But as soon as Chahat got the keys, so much money is missing. Neel reiterates his stance on Chahat not needing to steal. He tells Chahat to go to their room as she doesn't have to listen to Godamvari's needless accusations, especially when she hasn't done anything wrong.
  • Chahat tries to stay back but Neel tells her to go. As she was going upstairs, Godamvari pulls on Chahat's arm, making her purse fall down and the bundles of money slip out. They're all shocked seeing the money. Godamvari picks it up and saying these are the bundles stolen from the safe. Godamvari tells Chahat that if she needed money then she could have asked them. She never imagined that a Dhyani DIL will turn out to be a thief. She questions the parenting that she got.
  • Vyasji questions why she felt the need to steal the money. He informs her that the money was going to be used to treat COVID patients. Was she not ashamed of stealing money from home?
  • Chahat tells Vyasji that the money is not from the temple's trust fund, but the shagun that she had gotten from their wedding day. Jamuna had given it to her the day after their wedding.
  • There's a flashback of this exchange where Jamuna told her to keep the money since a lot of people have their eyes on it.
  • Neel thinks that he saw Chahat take the money out from the safe. He also considers her to be a slick liar.
  • Jamuna corroborates with Chahat saying that he did indeed give her money after the wedding.
  • Godamvari asks Chahat where the money from the safe went to then. After all, she's the one with the keys.
  • Chahat tells her to wait for one minute as she'll get her answer. Chahat brings a tin of rice and reveals the other two money stacks. Jamuna asks why she kept it in there and Chahat says that she learnt from her father that if there is a large amount of money in the home, then it shouldn't be all kept in one place. That way, if there is a robbery in the home, then they won't be left penniless. That's why she kept the money in a safe place. Jamuna scolds Godamvari for needlessly doubting her.
  • Vyasji goes in front of Shivji's idol and apologizes to Chahat saying that he accused her needlessly. Chahat tells him not to do that as those hands should be used to bless people. Rather it's her fault as she should have told everyone where she kept rest of the money. As her punishment, she shouldn't keep the keys. Since Godamvari is elder to her, no one will be to handle the responsibility better than her. She hands the keys back to Vyasji but Neel takes them, and hands them over to Godamvari. She takes it instantly, saying that since the kids are insisting why should she object. He also tells them to take care of their wedding money too. If Chahat ever needs it, she'll ask Godamvari for it. He also tells Chahat to hand the money over to Godamvari. She does so, and goes upstairs.
  • Vyasji is left thinking back on Neel's instructions to Chahat regarding the money and is not happy about it.
  • They're all seated for dinner, and Chahat notices that her plate is empty while everyone else's is full. When Jamuna asks why Chahat wasn't served food, Vyasji says that he had forbidden it since Neel had plainly told everyone that if Chahat ever needed money, she can ask them for it. A married woman's dignity lies in her husband's success. Her husband is supposed to take care of her financial needs. Jamuna fulfills his responsibility as a husband. Alekh looks after his daughter, and Vyasji pays for the other expenses. But it's Neel's responsibility to ensure that Chahat doesn't have to ask others for money when she needs it. That's why he made a very difficult decision: Chahat will only eat food that will be bought with Neel's money. He apologizes to Chahat saying that until Neel earns money and doesn't bring home supplies for it, she won't eat. Until then, she'll have to stay hungry.

August 24th Update:

  • Jamuna asks Vyasji where will Neel find a job in this pandemic? He's sure that as soon as restaurants open up, Neel will find a job. Vyasji disagrees saying that when he married Chahat he knew that he would have to provide for her. Life is full of hardships and to face these hardships, Neel will need to learn how to be responsible.
  • Neel tells Vyasji, that of all people, he shouldn't be the one to talk about responsibility. They all know just how well he fulfilled his fatherly responsibilities. Neel takes his plate of food and is walking away. He pauses to tell Vyasji that he didn't understand his logic here. In order to make Neel go on a guilt trip, he didn't need to starve Chahat. Neel tells Chahat that she doesn't need to be a part of this charade. She can go to the kitchen and get something to eat.
  • Vyasji also excuses himself, without eating.
  • Chahat asks Allah why new ordeals are set for her everyday. Because of her taking the money, father and son are fighting with each other again.
  • Chahat is complaining to her mother about how hungry she's feeling. Neel comes in with a plate of ladoos. He tells Chahat that she can have only one. Chahat tells him that she can't since ladoo is a dessert which is eaten only after the main course and she hasn't even had that yet. Neel asks her why she's being so dramatic. She could have gone to the kitchen and ate something. No one would know. Chahat refuses saying that she won't eat until she has Vyasji's permission. Neels asks her if she's that eager to get into Vyasji's good books. He won't write her into his will. He further tells her that she's just putting on an act of being hungry. In a few minutes, she'll be gorging on the potato chips she has kept in the cupboard. Chahat tells him there's no chance of that happening.
  • Neel keeps the plate of ladoos by his night side table and goes to sleep. He smiles thinking that Chahat will eat the chips from the cupboard. He wakes up to see Chahat doing a yoga pose, and asks her what she's doing. Chahat continues to cry about being hungry. Neel tells her to eat, but Chahat refuses and continues to do her yoga.
  • Neel puts a plate full of sandwiches in front of her and tells her to eat. Chahat refuses saying that even Vyasji hasn't eaten yet. When Neel is surprised, Chahat scolds him saying how could Vyasji eat after Neel told him so many things. Moreover, Vyasji is right since he's the only son of the family. He has certain responsibilities towards the family. Maybe not for her, can't he at least do that much for his dad?
  • Chahat goes to sleep, and Neel thinks how everyone just likes to give lectures. If Vyasji doesn't eat, then how will he take his medicines?
  • The next morning Chahat is continuously drinking water as a way to satiate her hunger. Jamuna comes in saying, "Long live the revolution". Chahat shows him the year is 2020 and it's been 73 years since India has gotten its independence. He tells her that Godamvari had vowed that the day Naveli wakes up early and does the prayers, Jamuna will have to hit his head against the bell. Because of it, he keeps forgetting things. Chahat checks his injury and tells him that they look like symptoms of a concussion, and that he should show it to a doctor. She offers to go with him, but Jamuna refuses.
  • Neel is at Bhopu's bakery, tensed and pacing. Bhopu tells him that dads are like that, and that he'll forget it. Neel tells him that his dad is stubborn, and Chahat is having to suffer because of it. Bhopu teases him about Neel's concern for Chahat. Neel negate any romantic notions and says that he's only concerned out of humanitarian reasons. Moreover, it's a matter of his ego now. He has to earn money somehow. He's just concerned as to who will hire a chef during the pandemic. Bhopu tells him that he'll hire him, as he always wanted someone else to do the baking while he just chilled. Neel takes on the offer, and excitedly gets to work.
  • Godamvari is dusting, and tells Chahat that these days she seems to wake up only after Godamvari has done all the house work. Chahat tells her that's not true, and that she couldn't sleep well because she didn't eat last night. Godamvari tells her that she won't be having any pity on Chahat. She's going out to buy some vegetables, and by the time she returns she expects the whole house to be cleaned.
  • Chahat hears a radio ad being played and Chahat thinks that her dad might have put out a missing person's ad in an Urdu newspaper. Godamvari hurts herself, and Chahat checks it out telling her that it's a minor sprain and she'll be fine. She offers to go to the market in Godamvari's stead so that she can check out the newspapers.
  • Chahat has purchased an Urdu newspaper and is reading it when Vyasji sees, and approaches her. Alekh and Vyasji ask her what she's hiding, and Chahat shows them the newspaper. Alekh asks her what she has to do with it and asks if she can read Urdu. Chahat tells them that she came to buy vegetables, but then she saw the jalebi vendor, and reveals the jalebi inside the newspaper.
  • Jamuna arrives saying that he's glad Chahat told him to go to the doctor as he's feeling much better now. He comments on how Vyasji loves jalebi, and it'll be the first time they'll be eating it after Saraswati's death. Jamuna asks how did she know that jalebis are Vyasji's favorite, and Chahat says that they're her dad's favorite too, and thought of getting them for him. She tells Vyasji that she knows he won't eat anything from the home kitchen until Neel pays for it, but asks to let go of his resentment for a small period and have the jalebis.
  • Godamvari asks Chahat if she wants to show everyone how she's the only one who cares for Vyasji. She informs her that even she hasn't eaten since last night seeing Vyasji's plight. When Jamuna is about to counter her saying that he saw her take four paranthas, Godamvari covers up saying they were for the dogs. And how she wished God will knock some sense into Neel.
  • Vyasji tells her to keep quiet as he doesn't want to discuss the same matter over and over again. He tells Chahat that her care for him shows that she has a pure heart but it won't make him change his decision. He will only eat what Neel earns. When Chahat points out his health complications, Vyasji says that doctors can only prescribe medicines, but it's Shivji who protects people from diseases and death. If he keeps chanting Shivji's name, nothing will happen to him. Alekh tells Vyasji to take some rest as he hasn't eaten since morning. He'll even massage his feet. Vyasji comments it doesn't matter if it takes time to polish one diamond (Neel) as he already has another (Alekh).
  • As soon as everyone is gone, Godamvari eats jalebis saying that she has to do all the house work, so she needs the energy. She tells Chahat to eat some too since Neel has a hot temper and he won't get a job that easily. How long will she stay hungry for?
  • Chahat gets a call from Neel asking her to come to Bhopu's bakery immediately.
  • She goes to the bakery and sees Bhopu unconscious on the floor. She checks his pulse which is fine. She sprinkles water on his face, and he wakes up. He tells them how he hasn't eaten anything as well since Neel didn't eat. Chahat is shocked that Neel is hungry. She comments on how she didn't know that there was a soft hearted person living inside his tough monstrous exterior. Neel tells her to quietly take care of his patient or she won't even realize when he turns from a softie to a monster. She tells Neel to get out so that she can examine Bhopu alone.
  • Chahat tells Bhoput that he has a low sugar level, and gives him a singori to eat. Bhopu declines saying that Neel made them so that they can be sold and he can finally bring home groceries. He doesn't want Vyasji and Chahat to stay hungry.
  • Chahat is surprised and impressed by how big hearted Neel is.

Hey,

Today I was randomly searching for the shows, as it's been long time since I've seen a show from ZeeTV. Zee shows doesn't interest me much, for some reasons.

The first forum I clicked on is Qurbaan Hua, and as my habit of reading a story before watching (I do the same with Movies, yeah it's odd but I love reading stories first 😆LOL) and fortunately this thread was there so I jumped in and started silently reading the story from your first post of this thread to this last post. I haven't seen the show and I don't even plan to now, because of many reasons, including this; I just read the lead actor is being replaced now due to health issues. Karan Jotwani is a good actor. I have seen his previous projects.

Coming to the show, it's totally Masaledar show, with realistic story in the start, about how Doctor's get attacked and blamed for the patient's death but here they deal with Hinduism and Islam, two religions and their peoples. I believe what forms the crux of the story, was for hero to take revenge of his sister's death from the Doctor, and heroine to prove her father's innocence.

So much has happened until now in the story as I read including unnecessary filler episodes and unnecessary dramatic situations (I'm sure viewers of this show could tell this more clearly)

But somewhere along the drama, the main theme of the show seems lost. It's been months since the death of Saraswati, and yet her murderer, her husband, is not yet punished or revealed in the show. Instead of this, they focused on unnecessary interfaith marriage, where Heroine and Hero were put under pressure to marry each other and live together. It must be very difficult for both of them to deal with this, since I read they love and respect their respective religions a lot, but I'm sure they must have made mockery of both the religious while shooting the story.

They need to deal with this topic very sensitively. And they need to fasten their track with logical conclusion, to the murderer of hero's sister and justice for heroine's innocent father.

How I wish this show was a finite series as it has everything in it; drama, acting, suspense, fun and culture.

I may watch this some day as so far story looks amazing. But they need to go fast with the story to keep the original theme of the show intact and after the big revealation, they need to show cultural interfaith marriage properly for the sake of the leads and for responsibility towards both the cultures, Hinduism and Islam.

Thank you for Writing and providing the briefs of the story so far. It must be a tiring job. I used to do that for a show as well years back haha. But please do continue writing/providing the story so far, because I might not see the show, and will just follow from your thread. It was amazing to read it. Really.
