Dukhda Roing: A Pause, A Thought
Today is a weird moment to open a new thread. Sidnaaz threads since inception on IF's Bigg Boss forum would have crossed more than 40,000 pages over the last 8 months. No mean feat that and no couple's had that in the history of Indian television or cinema. Touchwood. Let's remember, our source of motivation for this was Sidnaaz on screen and our own sensitivity to the truth that Sidnaaz is- a beautiful couple who laid eyes on each other some months back and wrote history themselves and we witnessed it without being in denial to the beauty that unfolded before us.
Let me congratulate Sidharth and Shehnaaz at this juncture before going any further. Shehnaaz has a lovely collab MV coming up with with Tony Kakkar- Kurta Pajama expecting release on July 17th and Sidharth has a much awaited project coming in the form of an MV with Neha Sharma- Dil ko Karaar Hai. Glad that they are working in these tough times 👏 . May they stay blessed. Touchwood.
Let me get into the heart of the matter now and I shall try to keep it short as is not my usual wont 
For a shipper community that was conditioned and fed on the beauty of Sidnaaz for 4 months, it is extremely disappointing that Sidnaaz have chosen to go private to the extent that there's not a whiff of them together for us since 4 months whatever be the justification. They are well aware how popular they are and more than that, how well loved. For 8 months now, and that's close to a year, we have stood by them and supported both and mediated between solos and have been cursed at ourselves and yet justified both of them and their organic growth. Simply put, I think shippers deserve more from Sidnaaz. We don't deserve booby traps, trolls, baits and third party promises. We deserve straightforwardness and love coz we've been major givers. And somehow today, not having any expectations from Sidnaaz and just love to give them feels more like a crown of thorns.
Like another member mentioned on our earlier thread, we're not asking for them going official. Sidnaaz can do whatever they want to do with their relationship though I would yearn for wedding news any day, but hey, at the least, if they claim to be friends, a live or a photograph wouldn't be anathema now, would it? Is that ridiculous expectations? A pic?
And what really shall happen if the fandom SIDNAAZ is accepted and endorsed openly? Like what? Is it a dirty secret to be hidden away? No, right? We loved this couple for being Bindaas. Now we are left searching for the B in Bindaas, sorry to say.
The irony again is that the Sidnaaz fandom is touted to be the biggest shipper fandom in India today and has broken records, is known for its quirkiness and is compared along with the BTS fandom. Wow. You don't need me telling you how BTS runs their PR machinery or fan assuagement or reconciliations. But no, I don't even expect Sidnaaz to play to fan expectations. But is it really too much to ask for a consistent stream of cordial pics together since they claim friendship? Or a live chat together, different rooms or whatever?
Or does mere friendship destroy individual currency in the market? That's a new one. Coz they are in an industry where false rumours run haywire every day.
And then the fandom is expected to keep to rules that come out of nowhere: The word "juloos" is forbidden, SNIT is considered as dangerous as RAW sleuthing, and we are expected to be eternally positive. What exactly do we feed on? Thin air?
Sorry, we are not blind followers who shall say our idols are gods. We loved both for all their faults and goodness and loved them as humans and are now simply expecting to be treated as humans too. To be in Bigg Boss was a decision they made and the popularity that came from it was organic. If Sidharth invested in Shenaaz, we invested in Sidnaaz too.
Long story not so short, we've been expecting announcements of projects together and if not that, online presence together. We know we are not a fandom that is delusional. Nor are we a fandom crazy to work towards a 100 M without love. But we'd like to feel loved too, you know. As simple as that. One-sided love doesn't work anywhere, does it? And during these tough times it would have been great if Sidnaaz had chosen to be kind on shippers who stood by their rough times and continue to do so.
They say, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Now it's for Sidnaaz to figure out what birds are out there and what's in their hand and what's not. Or maybe they do already and that's why we are where we are.
This piece shall in all likelihood fall on blank walls and empty corridors, but I wouldn't be doing myself any justice most of all if I stuck to the role of admin and pretended everything was hunky dory in the shipper community when clearly many of us have been more than restless since a while. So, there. I said it.
And I love them for whatever is worth.

Looking back at BB13 where it all started :
It all began when Sidharth Shukla in black, looking the quintessential suave and urban bad boy and Shehnaz Gill in white, the quintessential desi and cherubic angel, were destined to meet on the stage of Bigg Boss 13 last week of September 2019. We would have liked to make this sound syrupy sweet 🍭 and say there was no looking back after, but ask us Sidnaazians what they and we have been through 
Boy have they pulled and pushed at each other like none! 
And did it bear the best of outcome! SidNaaz’ journey inside the house was nothing short of a roller coaster ride from the point of view of the viewer.
Here was Siddharth Shukla, with a commendable body of professional work as an actor, ticking all the boxes of Tall, Dark and Handsome, the macho Alpha man-child with a kind but mischievous smile, a penchant for one-liners and oh so delicious but well concealed sarcasm but with a contrarian personality that seemed to suggest he was actually a well principled guy.

And then there was Shehnaaz Gill, who had begun to create a name for herself in the Punjabi music and movie industry, a Tik Tok influencer and with a unique voice and a natural sense of humour, a bubbly, effervescent and quirky desi child-woman, the epitome of innocence, who seemed to have absolutely no filter with it came to speaking her mind and who loved to laugh and make others laugh.

Together, they tugged at each other 
, confronted themselves and the other , foiled each other’s designs 
, toiled towards and for each other , hesitated at the unexplainable but inevitable pull they seemed to feel 
and gravitated finally towards the only outcome the universe had planned for them- Being Together!
One of our biggest moments that followed then of course was Sidharth winning Bigg Boss 13 with a bang and with a huge voting margin. Congratulations again, Sidharth!

Once outside the house Sidharth has left no stone unturned in letting the public know that Shehnaaz is one of the most important people in his life. Interview after interview, he has been interrogated on his relationship with Shehnaaz and the dear gentleman has blushed and rolled about and stuck to his stance that the relationship status is the same as how it was inside the house and every Sidnaazian knows that the nature of their bond was nothing short of formidable inside the house, building from strength to strength.
Shehnaaz meanwhile, on the show Mujhse Shaadi Karoge had to face the toughest of moments and trying situations with real dating being the format of the show, but she has let the entire nation know that Sidharth is her biggest source of happiness and that she can never think beyond him and nothing else matters to her. It’s curtains came down today.

And so, here we are poised where we hope and pray that Sidharth and Shehnaz can pursue their life ahead as compete masters of their will, with a platter of good work to pick from, knowing that the universe had conspired to bring their chosen one to them sans all probabilities, for Sidharth needn’t have chosen this season to do so BB 13 and Shehnaaz wouldn’t have been in BB this season but for some turns of circumstances. Destiny always wins, so long as we long hard and deep enough! In a positive way ofcourse
