I don't use TikTok or know who she was, but found out from a news app. Still ... if you're thinking about suicide ... please call a suicide hotline first.

Is this becoming a fad? I do not mean to be insensitive, but of Sushant, I understand. Sushant was a man of the world, had enough exposure-experience, to know he was missing something in life and hence resorted to the extreme step.
But this young child, who barely had any real life experience died by suicide. She is not yet out of school. It is like kids these days get this thought at the drop of the hat. After Sushant, even his 14 year old fan died by suicide. 2020 is getting as worst as it can get.
There are rapid changes going on in the mentality of kids these days. Parents need to catch up and provide diagnose the need for mental counselling.
India needs to stop romanticizing suicide, and martyring suicide victims
Indians need to stop glorifying suicide. Nobody really cared about Sushant when he was alive but now he has all these new fans going on a rampage. Now he's a genius who nobody else can match up to, everyone was jealous of him, his talent was unmatched, and he was the best thing that had ever happened to BW. Everyone else is being trashed while he has been turned into a heroic martyr.
Upon seeing this type of craziness, it's not so surprising that idiotic teenagers are committing suicide. They want to get that reception in death that they never got in life.
That's a very big assumption, every suicide is not because of Sushant or related to him. The article says she was getting threats, she was probably scared and killed herself because of itThis content was originally posted by: rkisnothotIndians need to stop glorifying suicide. Teens committing suicide is not some unheard of thing, there is a lot of angst and recklessness going on at those ages, the news say she was getting some threats, maybe she was being harassed or blackmailed by the pervs lurking on that app, who knows. Media has a tendency to pick cases and connect unrelated events. Back when the Blue Whale challenge news was trending, they highlighted the incidents of school children who committed suicide apparently because of the game. It's all speculation at the end of the day.
Reminds me of Amanda Todd, many teenagers commit suicide from bullying or things like that. This content was originally posted by: jhopadpattiTeens committing suicide is not some unheard of thing, there is a lot of angst and recklessness going on at those ages, the news say she was getting some threats, maybe she was being harassed or blackmailed by the pervs lurking on that app, who knows. It doesn't have to be related to Sushant in particular but lots of impressionable young minds are seeing that suicide can automatically make people love you when you didn't matter to them when you were alive. Suddenly you are hyped as if you were the greatest person to ever exist.
Those online "threats" sound extremely vague and what's the worst anyone could have threatened? Death? oh well, she took care of that herself.
Sorry if it sounds cruel but at this point, I don't even feel sorry for them. I feel sorry that they couldn't see how much pain they are going to cause to their families. Apparently this girl was the only breadwinner in the family. What are her parents going to do now? Suicide is such a selfish decision.
Could be anything, probably rape threats, or something to blackmail her with, she could be sensitive and vulnerable, confused by it and just afraid by that. This content was originally posted by: rkisnothotIt doesn't have to be related to Sushant in particular but lots of impressionable young minds are seeing that suicide can automatically make people love you when you didn't matter to them when you were alive. And if we call suicide selfish then it'll create even more stigma about suicidal people.

They should be helped as much as possible so they want to live. Suicide should never be considered brave or honorable. Look at what Sushant did to his father. That man already lost his wife long ago and now his son too? Depression is very painful so although I understand why he did it, it's still not something that was right to do. All suicide does is transfer your pain to others. The film industry treating him badly supposedly is no excuse. There are steps you can take to remove yourself from that environment. He could have easily just quit and gone back to Patna and lived off the money he already made.
