Jennifer Winget spent her early childhood in Yavatmal, Maharashtra. She was born to a Marathi Christian father and a Punjabi Hindu mother. Her parents are Hemant Winget and Prabha Winget. She has an elder brother, whose name is Moses Winget. Currently she lives in Mumbai, her parents living only a few buildings away from her.
She did her schooling from St. Xavier's High School, Mumbai, and completed her college from K. J. Somaiya College of Science and Commerce which is also in Mumbai. She is a Bachelor of Commerce.
Jennifer was inclined towards acting from a very young age, and she got into acting with her first role as a child actor because of her mother. Jennifer feels very lucky to have her mother's support at all times. She keeps her "constantly grounded" to her roots.
Growing up, she silently wished that she would become as stylish as her mother. She admires the way she holds the fort and manages to keep her grace intact. Her mom has always urged her to follow her instincts and taught her to live wholeheartedly.
Jennifer found immense support in her mother when she was going through her divorce. The advice that came from her mom was that no man can determine her happiness. She asked her to mourn the loss but to cherish the memories, accept, let go and move on.
Jennifer proved herself to be a highly successful actress. She spent a working birthday since the last three years as she was busy shooting for her shows. This birthday would have been working too, if not for the pandemic. Her birthday plans were simple, to wrap up the shoot a bit early and have a small get-together at home with her closest friends and family.
Her best birthday memories are of her dad decorating her room before she would wake up and she wanting to change her birth date as it would fall during the summer holidays. She always wanted to spend it with school friends and this wasn't possible because of the holidays.
Jennifer believes that "age is just a number" and feels young at heart. It is the people around her that matter than what she is doing on her birthday. They make her feel special and not old at all. She has a close group of 10 friends from school, college, and work and hangouts with them often.
She shares a warm bond with her family and friends and loves to travel. The actress is very close to her little nephew Shawn.
She loves spending time with her pet dog Breezer. Whenever she goes to any foreign trip or anywhere she always takes Breezer along with her. Her cute gesture shows her Love for Breezer. She is extremely affectionate with stray dogs.
She shows her support for social welfare activities and the LGBTQAI+ community via her Instagram posts, thus gaining respect and love from her fans.
Jennifer is one of the finest and highest-paid actresses in the Indian television industry. She charges about Rs. 1 lakh per episode. She lives in a luxury apartment in a posh area of Mumbai and she is very fond of cars. She owns a Ranger Rover and a BMW Series 5 sedan, which costs around Rs 50-60 lakhs. Her favorite thing to do when free is shopping.
Her Zodiac Sign is Gemini. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Punjabi. She follows Christianity. If not an actress, Jennifer would have preferred to be an air-hostess. She fondly addressed as "Jen" or "Jenny" by her friends, family, and doting fans.

Jennifer Winget mentioned that she got into acting because of her mother. Her mother worked in the Admin department of a company called Shogun Films. At that time, Shogun Films was making a movie called Raja ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya and they asked Jennifer’s mother whether she would like her daughter to feature as a child actor in the film. To which, she said yes, as it was summer vacation and it was a good deal to spend the vacation in Chennai, working in a movie with an elephant, and be around Manisha Koirala and Arvind Swamy.
Hence the beautiful actress started her illustrious career with her role in the movie Raja Ko Rani Se Pyaar Ho Gaya at the age of 12. She was then seen in the popular TV show Shakalaka Boom Boom. Jennifer then appeared in a movie called Kuch Na Kaho at the age of 14. She had an appearance in 1995's Akele Hum Akele Tum.
In 2018, her first movie as lead, Phir se… released on Netflix. She played Kajal Kapoor opposite Kunal Kohli.
She was a part of Kusum and Kkoi Dil Mein Hai playing the roles of Simran and Preeti respectively during the year 2003. She got her first solo show Karthika in 2004. Even though her big break in Television came with Karthika, she attained limelight when she played the role of Sneha Bajaj in Ekta Kapoor's popular drama Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Since then, there has been no stopping to this pretty lass.
In 2006, She played Natasha in Kya Hoga Nimmo Kaa and had an appearance in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. In 2007, She played Svetalana in Kahin Toh Hogi. She was a part of Sangam where she played Ganga during 2007-2009.
She also participated in reality shows. She was a contestant in Zara Nach ke Dikha 1 (2008), and Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout (2011). She was also a contestant in Comedy Circus 3 (2009). She rose in fame and popularity with her role as Dr. Riddhima in Dill Mill Gayye (2009). She hosted in reality shows while simultaneously acting as Dr. Ridhhima. She hosted Dekh India Dekh and Laughter Ke Phatke in 2009, and Zara Nach ke Dikha 2 in 2010. She hosted Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala and Nachle Ve With Saroj Khan in 2011.
She did an episode of Teri Meri Love Stories as Neeti in 2012. Jennifer got her first taste of critical acclaim as an actress in her role as Kumud Desai in Saraswatichandra (2013-14). When Beyhadh happened, she realized how much she loved acting. From Maya Mehrotra in Beyhadh (2016-17), Zoya in Bepannah (2018), Maya Jaisingh in Beyhadh 2 (2019-20) or Monica in Code M (2020), since then she has always chosen roles where she could put her own bit into the role, the roles which would help her grow as an actor and challenge her physically and mentally.
She knows to fence and had to learn aerial stunts for Beyhadh 2. She shortly sported a bald look as Maya Mehrotra, worked on her Urdu diction for Zoya, Sanskrit diction for Maya Jaisingh. To perform Monica, an army lawyer, she practiced playing basketball and learned how to stand and walk like a soldier. Jennifer Winget reportedly followed a strict diet and did pilates too. She loves researching about her characters, and experiments with them. The ability to emote all the different kinds of emotions at different times has led her to love acting immensely.
(Dill Mill Gayye, Star One)
She was seen playing the role of doctor Riddhima opposite Karan Singh Grover in Dill Mill Gayye in 2009 after she replaced Sukriti Kandpal. Riddhima was a senior resident at Sanjeevani and deeply in love with Armaan and was Siddhant’s ex-wife. She went through the trials and tribulations of her professional and personal life throughout the show. All she wanted to be was a good human and a good doctor, hoping to make her father proud. She was intelligent, had a modern outlook to life, and was amenable.
(Saraswatichandra, Star Plus)
Jennifer was appreciated and got known for her portrayal of Kumud Sundari in the popular Star plus 's show Saraswatichandra where she acted opposite Gautam Rode. Kumud was a self-righteous girl, sharp and independent who didn’t believe in giving up and was raised in a middle-class Gujarati family. She was a beautiful, proud, progressive, caring, and confident woman deeply in love with Saraswatichandra who left her alone on the wedding altar, but fate gave her a happy ending after testing her many times. She won various accolades for the famous show Saraswatichandra.
Jennifer acted as Maya Mehrotra in Sony's Beyhadh. When she was young, her father abused her and she was ignored by her mother, but Maya grew up to become an independent owner of a fashion magazine company and made people around her quiver in fear and respect. Maya was obsessively in love with Arjun Sharma, played by Kushal Tandon, and couldn't bear the thought of separating from him. Maya was never a protagonist nor was she an antagonist. And that makes the character of Maya unique. It was a challenging character but Jennifer slayed it and is widely known across the nation to date for playing such a challenging and controversial character.
She played the role of Zoya Siddiqui in Bepannah in 2018, opposite to Harshad Chopda. Zoya was a naive, innocent girl who deeply loved her husband Yash. But he cheated on her and died in a road accident with his lover who was Aditya Hooda’s wife. Zoya’s world clashes with Aditya’s. Always standing by the right, being compassionate, Zoya slowly came in terms with reality. Her belief held her strong; she eventually fell in love with Aditya and rising above all differences she married him, after becoming a successful entrepreneur. Although the show went off-air in 8 months, it won 12 awards after it went off-air. Jennifer won 3 awards, 6 nominations, and lots of fan love for her performance finesse as Zoya Siddiqui.
(Code M, Alt Balaji)
In 2019, she joined Alt Balaji with their web series Code M playing the lead Monica Mehra. Monica was a dedicated Indian Army lawyer who discovered a conspiracy plot during her investigation of a military encounter case. She stayed rooted in her investigation as she explored the mystery and dug out several revelations that would send ripples through the Indian Army. Jennifer was widely appreciated in her role as Monica, especially in the action sequences.
In 2019, she played Maya Jaisingh (Manvi SIngh). Her character at the start was similar to the most female characters who thirst for revenge. But what distinguishes her is that she is a grey character. SHe is solely focused on her aim for revenge but it doesn't lead her to ignore her loved ones. Maya falls in love with her enemy's son, Rudra Roy, played by Shivin Narang but it doesn't lead her astray from her revenge. The way her plans are so meticulously executed makes her character even more intriguing. The show may come to an abrupt end due to the corona virus lockdown. One of the best roles essayed by the enigma Jennifer herself.
She has won 18 awards and 5 nominations.
She has won an Asian Television Awards for Best Actress (Popular) for Saraswatichandra, Boroplus Gold Awards for the Most Fit Actress, Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Award for Best Actress in Drama series for Beyhadh, Gold Awards for Television Star of the Decade (Female) and Best Actress (Critics) for Bepannah, Indian Television Academy Awards Best actress-drama for both Saraswatichandra and Bepannah, Star Parivaar Awards Favourite Beti for Saraswatichandra and Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Favourite Jodi and International Favourite Jodi that she shared with Gautam Rode for Saraswatichandra and Favorite behen for Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Lions Gold Awards awarded her the TV Icon of the Year (Female) and Best Actress (Popular) for both Bepannah and Beyhadh. Indian Telly Awards awarded her with Best Actress for Beyhadh and Best Actress and Best Actress Critics for Saraswatichandra.
The Asian Viewers Television Awards nominated her for Actress of the Year for Bepannah and Best Actress for Saraswatichandra; Indian Television Academy Awards for Best Actress - Drama and Best Actress - Popular for Bepannah. Indian Telly Awards nominated her for Best Actress for Saraswatichandra.
According to Fuzion Productions Poll, she was also ranked as the best actress for the year 2018.
With the success of critically acclaimed shows such as Saraswatichandra, Beyhadh, and Bepannah, Jennifer Winget established herself as one of the bankable and Highest-Paid TV Actresses in India. She earns around INR 1,00,000 per episode.
She was ranked first in Times of India's Top 20 Most Desirable Women on Indian Television 2017.
In the Eastern Eye's Sexiest Asian Women List 2018, Winget was placed in the 13th position. Jennifer Winget was voted as the Asian Drama Actress for the year 2018 via Starmometer's poll for the Asian Drama Awards. The Bepannaah star topped the poll with a whopping 1,140,105 votes defeating 11 other nominees from Korea, China, Philippines, and Thailand by 56.95%.

Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside you.
The wound is the place where the light enters you.
A glimpse into Jennifer Winget's thoughts:
1. On love and its beauty.
We grow up believing that love is like a fairytale that comes with all things good. What no one points out is how hard it is to live up to love or the tests along the way, small or big. We should never close our doors on love.
2. On handling abrupt situations.
There is nothing in life I would want to control. I love the way nature has given flow to everything and would love to go with the flow.
3. On being an open book.
I am not a very private person, but there are certain things that I don't want to share with everyone. There are certain things that only me, my friends, and family should know. It's not everyone's business.
4. On being the responsible one.
Responsibility for me is to be myself - which is not perfect.
5. On being responsible as an actor.
As actors, you are social figures, and you are setting an example for people to follow, so I feel very blessed that my work has allowed me to influence people in some way.
Happy Birthday Jennifer
You are an amazing actress, the distinct roles that you pick showcase your versatility and passion for acting. I have been following your work for a really long time and I absolutely loved your characters and shows especially Saraswatichandra and Bepannaah. Also, I love the way you conducted yourself when I met you with grace and kindness, I hope you always stay the same.
Though you age like fine wine and look better as the years' pass. Happy 35th Birthday.

Hey hey ...
What's the date today!
It's 30th May
We are here to stay.
We are just a moment away,
Let the happy music play..
And you remain happy and healthy, that's all we pray
Sometimes we have only words to play
Sometimes we have to say
Not here just to wish hello or hey,
We wanna wish you a very happy birthday.
You have one of the sweetest smiles and kindest hearts. I love to watch you every time you grace my television screen and each time there are so many layers in your performance. Your portrayal of Zoya Siddiqui and Maya Jaisingh would remain my all time favorite, although I loved you in all your roles. Wish you many many happy returns of the day. May God bless with more happiness, success, prosperity and health. May you keep winning hearts and accolades like a princess forever.
Lots of love,
You have won several hearts across the globe with your amazing performances throughout your career. I have been your fan during the Dil Mill Gaye days and you made me fall for Ridhima. Wish you many many happy returns of the day. May God bless abundantly with happiness, success, love and good health.
Happy Birthday Jennifer Winget. I first saw your stint in Kasauti Zindagi Kay. At that time I wasn't knowing that there would be a day I will be practically obsessed with you. I then saw you in Saraswatichandra. The mature and docile character of Kumud stole my heart. But what actually took me by surprise was your stint as Maya Mehrotra. You were fabulous as Maya. Maya was a character which was bold and not many would have chosen it but you still took it up and aced it. The way you portrayed it. Sigh. And then the sudden transition to the meek and docile Zoya. I was speechless. You have always been my inspiration. You are an epitome of perfection. I always look upto your serials. And your first web show Code M was so great. I admire you a lot. Once again Happy Birthday. May you forever be blessed with eternal joy and bliss. May you be blessed success throughout your life. And I hope you never have any unhappiness in your life.
Signing off as one of your biggest fans
Wish you many many happy returns of the day, Jennifer. I have always appreciated you for your amazing portrayal of Maya Mehrotra and Maya Jaisingh. Hope this birthday brings in you promises of good health and joy!
Happy Birthday to our guiding angel. Your resilience and passion for work inspires us everyday. Wish you many more years of good health and happiness. Be the moon for the stars of fame.
