Jennifer Winget mentioned that she got into acting because of her mother. Her mother worked in the Admin department of a company called Shogun Films. At that time, Shogun Films was making a movie called Raja ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya and they asked Jennifer’s mother whether she would like her daughter to feature as a child actor in the film. To which, she said yes, as it was summer vacation and it was a good deal to spend the vacation in Chennai, working in a movie with an elephant, and be around Manisha Koirala and Arvind Swamy.
Hence the beautiful actress started her illustrious career with her role in the movie Raja Ko Rani Se Pyaar Ho Gaya at the age of 12. She was then seen in the popular TV show Shakalaka Boom Boom. From Maya Mehrotra in Beyhadh (2016-17), Zoya in Bepannah (2018), Maya Jaisingh in Beyhadh 2 (2019-20) or Monica in Code M (2020), since then she has always chosen roles where she could put her own bit into the role, the roles which would help her grow as an actor and challenge her physically and mentally.
She knows to fence and had to learn aerial stunts for Beyhadh 2. She shortly sported a bald look as Maya Mehrotra, worked on her Urdu diction for Zoya, Sanskrit diction for Maya Jaisingh. To perform Monica, an army lawyer, she practiced playing basketball and learned how to stand and walk like a soldier. Jennifer Winget reportedly followed a strict diet and did pilates too. She loves researching about her characters, and experiments with them. The ability to emote all the different kinds of emotions at different times has led her to love acting immensely.

Maya falls in love with her enemy's son, Rudra Roy, played by Shivin Narang but it doesn't lead her astray from her revenge.
