As you may know, 

WC recently held a writing contest called

Can You Catch My Drift?

Thank you to all who participated.

We were very pleased with the turn out! 

So, in an effort to encourage

She menacingly ran the dagger across his cheek, slitting his skin slowly, to let the blood ooze out freely. Her own heart bled elsewhere.

“Kill me now!” He thundered.

Betrayed by heart and captured by soul, Emperor Zaeen had fallen, literally and figuratively.

“Or you’ll regret it, Ayah.” 

Was this the thing she’d always wanted? She could hardly control the urge to kiss him.

Shivering, with the blood drying up beneath her skin, she went pale.

The dagger crashed onto the floor. She rested her forehead on his chest and wept furiously, probably for the first time in her life.

Story ended, but love did not.

We became one possibility in the infinite probabilities.

The parallel realities formed one truth. It was beautiful. It was us.

And also beyond us. 

For we were nothing but some illusions that perished with the dying dreamer.

We submitted.

We surrendered.

Our story stopped at the conclusion of the Green-covered book that is now collecting dust in some old library.

We are now deformed fantasies floating around in the vast universal subconscious, waiting for a dreamer to catch us for good.

Yearning to turn into existence.

So bad.

Won’t you rejuvenate us?
