Yeah but no one watches old movies in new times and raves about it. Old masala wont work with the new generation. We have seen so many old comedy sequels flop people dont want to see mind numbing comedy anymore. Even golmaal is getting irritating now.

Good point lol
Priyadarshan movies have been epic. But his movies need actors like paresh rawal and Akshay Kumar.

Meezaan Jaffrey is an insider who grabbed the Hungama 2 role. He acted pretty decent in his debut movie 'Malaal' but SLB didn't promote this movie at all, so Meezan didn't get the recognition either. Hope Hungama 2 works for him.
Akshaye Khanna, Shoma Anand and Paresh Rawal all played off each other in the old Hungama. I doubt Shilpa can replace Shoma Anand. She has shown no talent for comedy so far. Now if it was Juhi...
Hungama 1 is my all-time favorite.
But that doesn't mean the sequel will be as good as the original one.
And it anyways looks like another "Welcome Back" in the making.
What makes it worse is that it's not even a continuation of the same story. They are just re-using old actors/characters and calling it a sequel.🤔
Because maybe the script was bad and no need of sequel.
Only real talented actors can do comedy and the people who turned down cannot act in a comedy roles
