Salman Khan leads the overseas box office rankings even though films like Bharat and Dabangg 3 did not perform as they were expected to but generally the Overseas performances of most stars was not up to the mark. A Dabanng 3 may not have performed as it was expected but looking at the content which was mainly for places like UP, Bihar and MP its not a bad result to get $8 million and US / Canada to get almost $3 million is a result. The xmas factor helped but still these are healthy numbers for the appeal of the content in overseas.

The fact that poor films like Jab Harry Met Sejal and Zero crossed $10 million in Overseas and the latter is more than any release of last year barring War shows that Shahrukh Khan is still the biggest star in Overseas but it does not show up in numbers as there is no release last year. One release and it will be back to the top or very close.

This does not include Far East as not many films release there and even that fad seems to have run its course though if the family (Saand Ki Aankh, Chhapaak, Panga, Thappad) manage to get a Chinese distributor interested they could have better luck there as all are female protaganist stories which appeal to the chinese audience as majority of the audience for Hindi films is female there.

Ranveer Singh has made an impact in Overses as Padmaavat took an all time record opening although being a period costume drama from Sanjay Leela Bhansali was the major reason for insane initial in US / Canada. Gully Boy also followed up with good numbers. There is a gap between the top two and the others but it all it takes is on release to change this.

The Overseas rankings for February are as follows with the the January points in brackets.

1. Salman Khan: 1323 points (1380)

2. Ranveer Singh: 1000 points (1035)

3. Shahrukh Khan: 483 points (526)

4. Ranbir Kapoor: 411 points (434)

5. Tiger Shroff: 361 points (354)

6. Hrithik Roshan: 349 points (349)

7. Aamir Khan: 340 points (340)

8. Akshay Kumar: 162 points (160)

9. Varun Dhawan: 9 points (115)

10. Ajay Devgn: -40 points (2)

US mainly.

Canada, it's Akshay.

UK, it's between Salman, SRK, and Aamir.

Middle East, it's Salman.

China, it's Aamir.

Yeah. Ranveer defo.

With Ranbir, he missed the boat post-YJHD I think. He could have been the next big overseas star after SRK. But it didn't work out for him.
