Okay, so how many brothers/sisters did Ravana had?

I can remember, Vibheeshan, Kumbhakarna and Kubera. Sisters mein Shoorpanakha only.

Can anyone please shed some light into Rishi Pulastya's entire progeny? šŸ˜³

Also who was Kubera's mom?

As far as I remember, Pulastya was a Prajapati, and in some texts, a Sapt Rishi.

He had two sons, Vishrava Muni and Rishi Agastya.

Vishrava had two wifes.

With Illavida, he was father to Kuber.

With Kaikesi, he was the father of Ravan, Vibhishan, Kumbhkaran and Shurpnakha.

Rishi Agastya married Lopamudra and they had a son, Dridhasyu

Pulastya was Brahma's son so most probably a Prajapati

Sumali was son of a Raksha called Sukesha and had 2 brothers Malyavan and Mali.

They did penance got a boon from Brahma of being invincible and always together, they conquered devtas and all.

After that the Lanka kingdom came into existence. Malayavan being the eldest was the KIng at that time it seems.

Kuber was a human having 3 hands and 8 teeth and was initially the King of Kalinga, he was a Shiv Bhakt and built various temples of Mahadev . He did a severe penance for years to ultimately get the boon from Shiv, and, hence became revered and King of Yakshas. His wife was a Yakshini.

Another question: Who was Kumbhini?

The grandson of Brahma, Viśravas Brahma had four wives. Devavarį¹‡inÄ«, Puį¹£potkaį¹Ä, Vākā and KaikasÄ«. śūrpaį¹‡akhā is the daughter of KaikasÄ«. Kumbhini (who is also known as KumbhinasÄ«) is the daughter of Viśravas Brahma and Puį¹£potkaį¹Ä. Their father is same but the mothers are different. In this way, they are related. They are half-sisters. They had many other siblings. Rāvaį¹‡a, Kumbhakarį¹‡a, Kubera etc., are famous among them.

From Chapter 8 of Upodghata Pada of Brahmānda Purana,

38-40: Viśravas married Devavarį¹‡inÄ«, the daughter of Brihaspati, Puį¹£potkaį¹Ä and Vākā, the daughters of Mālyavān, KaikasÄ«, the daughter of Mālin. Listen to his childrn begot of these. Devavarį¹‡inÄ« gave birth to Vaiśravaį¹‡a the eldest son.

KaikasÄ« gave birth to Rāvaį¹‡a, Kumbhakarį¹‡a and Å›Å«rpaį¹‡akhā, a daughter. VibhÄ«į¹£aį¹‡a is the fourth among her children.

55-56 Mahodara, Prahasta, Mahāpārśva and Khara were the sons of Puį¹£potkaį¹Ä. She had a daughter (named) KumbhinasÄ«. Also Triśiras DÅ«į¹£aį¹‡a and Vidyujjihva the Rākį¹£asā are remembered as the sons of Vākā. There was a daughter named Anupālikā.

These are classified as the group of Rakshasas with the name of Paulastyas(descendants of Pulastya). Specific characteristics of Kumbhinasī is not listed in the Brahmanda Purana. But the common character of Pulastyas is given.

The family graph isn't true it seemsšŸ˜†

Shrupnaka's husband was from Danav or Asur community, definitely not from Rakhshas.

Vaaka's devi son Vidujiva will be her brother.
