Alternate take on what happens after Mahashivratri - Pt 8 on pg 8

I'm a newbie and have been lurking in the forum reading the analyses and live updates. Especially during break-up, I had to read updates before I would watch the episodes. This situation has given me a lot of time to think out and write my alternate story-lines.

I have to admit that mishbir are my favorite and I relate most to Abir and Mishti, but I like all the characters and loved Kuhu's character growth after the leap and really like Kunal now (even how completely clueless he is with respect to Kuhu seems in character, although I'm hoping it's properly addressed!). I've been hoping these 4 get together and are able to take a stand against Meenakshi Rajvansh, so I wrote something to get a start on that.

I have so many ideas and am not sure whether to continue this or go on another track to where the show left off. Please let me know what you think. I would love to join you in the ATs, but you usually have such a nice discussion going, I'm happy to read and stay silent :)

Kya hum saath reh sakte hain?

Background: After coffee fiasco and mahashivratri. Mishti confronts Kuhu and finds out that Kuhu had been hoping she had drunk the coffee instead of Abir. Kuhu’s birthday is the next day, however, Holi is a little further out. 

Mishti comes into the  room and sees Abir sitting there. He’s upset with Kunal for blaming Parul maasi.

A - Tumhe lagta hai ki maine Nanko pe bahut chilladiya?

M - Mujhe iss baare mein tujhse baat karni hai

A - Parul maasi aise kabhi nahi kar sakhti hain

M - Abir, mujhe pata hai, balki mujhe yeh bhi pata hai ki aise kisne kiya

A - Kya? Kisne kiya?

M - Kuhu

A - What?

M - Haan. Main kabse soch rahi thi ki aisa kisne kiya hoga. Mujhe Kuhu pe shak tha aur phir abhi Parul maasi ke saath jo bhi hua, uske baad maine usse confront kiya ke woh tumhare saath aise kaise kar sakthi hai...

A - aur?

M - usne kaha ki usse laga ki woh coffee mai pe loongi

A - Kyon? Tumse kya problem hai usko?

M - Tumhe toh pata hai hamare beech jhagda hota hi rehta hai. Woh pehli rasoi ke baad mujhe pata chala ki vo haar Kuhu ne toda tha toh mai thoda gussa ho gayi. Usne kaha ki galti se ho gaya par mai pooja ke saath kuch chance lena nahi chahthi thi toh maine usse kaha ki woh pooja mein dakal nahi degi. Woh upset hogayi I guess aur shaayad usne socha ki agar mai so jaaon toh pooja woh karegi. Mera guess hai ki tumne woh game jo khela usmein cup badal gaya.

Mishti turns to see Abir lost in his own thoughts.

M - Kya soch rahe ho Abir?

A - Actually, mera bhi ek confession hai. Maine socha ki maa ne kuch kiya hai coffee ke saath so maine woh game purposely khela tha aur saare mugs mix kar diye. Aur phir jab kisi ne coffee peene se nahi roka toh maine socha mai galat tha. Lekin ek baat samajh nahi aa rahi hai - Kuhu ne sabko roka kyun nahi? Woh coffee toh koi bhi pee sakta tha na.. Agar naanu pe lete toh?

M - I don’t know Abir. Kuhu shaayad dar gayi thi. I am so irritated with her. Pehle coffee peene se kisi ko roka nahi, ab Parul maasi ko sab blame kar rahe the, tab bhi chup thi. Mai toh yahi try kar rahi thi ki woh khud sabko sach bata dein. Mujhe ab lagta hai sab ke samne sach bol dena chahiye par kal uska birthday bhi hai so timing achcha nahi hai. Birthday par aisa hoga aur sab usse naraz honge, that is also not good. I don’t know what to do.

A - Kal Kuhu ka birthday hai?

M - Haan...actually barah toh baj chuke, toh aaj Kuhu ka birthday hai.

A - Mishti, meri baat suno. I know what Kuhu did is not right, but mujhe abhi bhi lagta hai ki iske peeche maa ka haath hai. Mai maa ko jaanta hoon aur woh achche se logon ko manipulate karna jaanti hain. I think we should let this go for now.

M - Abir tumhe pata bhi hai ki tum kitne beemaar the? Aur aise chodne ko keh rahe ho?

A - Socho Mishti. Agar mai teekh soch raha hoon, toh maa yehi chahti hain ki tum aur Kuhu ke beech bada jhagda ho jaye. Agar hum isse yehi khatam kar dein toh? In fact, ek idea hai - hum sabko bula lete hain  Kuhu ka birthday celebrate karne ke liye. I promise Mishti, we will address Kuhu’s issues, but ab teekh samay bilkul nahi hai.

Maheshwaris are called at midnight and Kuhu’s birthday celebrations happen in the night the way they do in the episode. Mishti and Abir wake up in the morning when Abir’s phone rings. NGO didi calls and says there are some things to be taken care of which were left unfinished after mahashivratri pooja. Abir says he will be there in an hour. After he hangs up, Mishti says he still needs to rest, so she will go and take care of whatever needs to be done. She gets ready and leaves for the NGO. 

At the breakfast table -

Ketki - Bhai, Mishti bhabhi dikhayi nahi de rahi

A - Haan woh NGO mein kuch kaam tha toh subah jaldi chali gayi. Nanko, Kuhu ke birthday ke liye kya plan kiya hai?

Kunal - Plan? 

Kuhu - Kunal kya plan karega? Isne abhi tak gift bhi nahi diya hai.

Kunal - Arre, kal hi toh pata chala. Aaj shaam tak gift leke aa jaunga.

A - Haan, Uma Patel ko bol diya hoga gift laane ke liye

Everyone laughs. Kunal meets Abir later in his room and asks for some help figuring out what to buy for Kuhu. Abir and Kunal go shopping for Kuhu’s gift. In the evening the Maheshwaris come to Rajvansh sadan again with gifts for Kuhu. 

Kuhu - aap sab phir aa gaye sirf mujhe gifts dene ke liye?

Jasmeet - haan, aur kyun nahi aate? Aise kaise tumhari janam din jaane dein hum? Waise sasural mein pehla janam din hai, toh yahan bhi sab ne gifts diye honge naa.

Kuhu - Of course, sabne diya na.

BM - Abir aur Mishti dikhayi nahi de rahe?

Parul maasi - Mishti subah se NGO mein hai aur Abir ke liye phone aaya tha, toh woh baat kar raha hoga. Abhi aa jayega.

Jasmeet - wah ji, Kuhu ka janam din hai aur woh muh boli kaam ka bahana banake poora din ghar mein nahi hai.

Kunal - Actually kaam toh bhai ka tha, Mishti ne socha ki woh aaj rest karein toh achcha hoga. Kal ho toh itne beemaar the.

BP - Achchi baat hai, holi bhi aa rahi hai toh tab tak Abir bilkul teekh ho jaayenge. Shaadi ke baad aap logon ki pehli holi hai.

Naanu - Vishambar, tum sab bhi aa jao holika dahan ke liye, aur holi ke liye bhi.

BP - Haan bapuji, hum sab aa jayenge.

Nidhi - Of course, humara Abir holika dahan karega na. Ghar ka bada beta hai. Agar phir kisi ne uske coffee mein kuch milayi nahi toh.

Meenu - Nidhi!

Kosulu - Maariwali, kya bol che?

Jasmeet - Nidhi ji, aap Parul ko dekh kar kyun bol rahe hain? Woh Abir ke saath aise kyun karengi?

Varsha - Jasmeet!

Jasmeet - Bhabhi, mein toh aise hi pooch rahi thi ki shayad inko pata chal gaya ki Abir ke saath aisa kisne kiya aur kyun.

Nidhi - haan haan, aap logon ne beti di hai, to aapko bhi sach pata hona chahiye.

Maheshwaris are looking at each other. Kunal and others are looking at Parul maasi and Parul maasi is in tears.

Kuhu - #Enough! Parul maasi ne kuch nahi kiya. Bro ke coffee main sleeping pills mere haath se galti se gir gaye the!

Everyone is surprised - Kya?

Kunal - What? Kuhu? Agar galti se coffee mein gir gaye the, toh tumne bataya kyun nahi? Sabko coffee pene se roka kyun nahi?

Meenu - Kya Mishti ko pata tha ki tumne aise kiya? Isiliye woh baar baar tumhe dekhke baat kar rahi thi? 

Kuhu - Haan, Mishti ko pata hai.

Meenu - Aur usne kisiko kuch nahi bataya?

Meenakshi was just waiting for an opportunity to blame Mishti. Everyone is upset and the Maheshwaris are not quite sure what to do or say. Jasmeet is unable to understand why Kuhu suddenly confessed when everything was going according to plan and Parul maasi was being blamed. Abir walked in just then after finishing his call. He got blessings from BM and BP.

A - Radhe Krishna badi-maa. Kya hua? Aap log pareshan lag rahe hain.

Meenu - Pareshan kyun nahi lagenge. Betiyon ne aisa hi kaam kiya hai. Tumhare coffee main neend ki goli Kuhu ne milaye tha aur Mishti ye jaante hue bhi chup rahi aur kisi ko kuch nahi bataya.

Abir looked at everyone. Kunal was really upset, his mother looked upset but he could tell she was happy her plan had worked. Everyone else was wondering how to defuse this situation. 

A - Haan Mishti ne mujhe bataya tha aur maine usse kaha ki woh iss baat ko chod dein. Kuhu se galti ho gayi. Usne thode hi jaan boojh kar dala tha. 

Kunal - Phir usne kuch kaha kyun nahi bhai…

A - Woh toh hamein khud se puchna chahiye Nanko ki itne din hamare saath rehne ke baad bhi Kuhu ne kyun socha ki hum usse blame karenge, kyun hamein sach batene se darr rahi thi. Lekin bro I am happy ki tumne khud bol diya. Ab iss baat ko bhool jate hain na. Galti toh sab se ho jaati hai, hai na maa? Nanko?

Jasmeet - Achcha ji, woh muhboli ne bol diya aur aap sab…

Shaurya - Jasmeet, Kuhu ne khud bola ki ussine kiya

Jasmeet - Main nahi maanti, pata nahi muhboli ne kya bol diya usko ki yeh ilzaam apne upar le rahi hai. Badboli tumhe kya ho gaya? Kisi aur ki galti tum apne sar kyon le rahi ho (looking at Parul)? Bhabhi, yeh badboli bhi na - ek naukrani ko bachane ke liye apne sasural mein khud pe blame le rahi hai.

Varsha/BM - Jasmeet!

Kuhu - Chachi #stop!

Kunal - Woh naukrani nahi hain! Meri maa hain! Vaise bhi Kuhu kyon kisi aur ki galti apne sar legi?

Masheswaris are shocked by Kunal’s statement. Parul and Abir are happy Kunal accepted that she was his mother. Meenakshi is upset.

Kunal - Mujhe pata hai aap log shock mein ho. Actually, mujhe bhi yeh sach kuch din pehle hi pata chala aur mein abhi bhi try kar raha hoon yeh accept karne ke liye. 

Jasmeet - Yeh toh very good ho gaya na, ab muhboli ghar ki maalkin ban gayi aur badboli naukrani. Maine toh kaha tha ki muhboli ke iss ghar mein aane se badboli ki zindagi barbaad ho jayegi aur aise hi hua.

Kunal - Aisa kuch bhi nahi hai. Hum mein se koi bhi aisa nahi sochta, khaskar ke Mishti. In fact, usse toh bhai se bhi pehle pata tha ki maasi ne mujhe janam diya par usne kissise kuch nahi kaha. Bhai ne usse break up kiya, tab bhi usne kuch nahi kaha. Usne mujhe bataya kyunki…

Jasmeet - Toh ussine bataya na. Waise toh bahut mahaan banke ghoomti hai. Aisa hi hai to tumhe bataya hi kyun? 

Kunal - Ab sab sach samne aa raha hai toh mai yeh bhi ata deta hoon. Nishant ke drink main alcohol maine hi mix kiya tha. Mujhe pata nahi tha ki woh recovering alcoholic hai. Jab Mishti ko pata chala toh woh bahut gussa thi aur ussi gusse mein usne mujhe yeh bata diya.

Jasmeet - Mishti ko pata tha ki Nannu ke drink mein alcohol tumne milaya aur usne hamse kuch nahi kaha?

Kunal - Kuhu ko bhi pata tha aur usne bhi kuch nahi kaha aur phir jab mujhe mera sach pata chala…

Varsha - Tumhe toh bahut shock hua hoga Kunal. Mishti ko aise tumhe batana nahi chahiye tha.

Parul -  Aur Mishti toh uske baad mujhse aur benba se maafi bhi maangne aayi thi.

Abir - Waise jo hua achcha hua. Nanko - Kuhu ne galti maan li, ab chod do iss baat ko.

Meenu, however, was not willing to let the opportunity to blame Mishti go.

Meenu - Mishti ne tumhe sach mein bataya ya tum uske liye cover-up kar rahe ho Abir? Maine usse directly poocha aur usne mujhe kuch nahi bataya.

A - Main kyon cover-up karoonga maa? Mishto ko maine bola ki woh kuch nahi bolen, woh toh kafi naaraaz thi aur sab ko sach bata deti.

Kuhu - Bro, aap toh bol rahe hain ki baat khatam ho jaye, lekin Mishti toh isse nahi chodegi. #Mybirthday and Mishti will make me miserable.

A - Aisa nahi hai bro. Usine toh mujhse kaha ki aaj teri birthday hai aur humne woh surprise arrange kiya tha tumhare liye. Tum isse hamare taraf se gift samjho na. Actually, ek dusara reason hai Mishti ab iss baat se aur tumse nahi kuch aur se naaraz hai.

Abir looked mischievous. 

Kuhu - Kya?

A - Woh Champaner ke school mein ek problem hai toh woh usko sulajhne mein busy hai. Jab tak woh solve hoga, yeh toh old news ho jayegi na.

Abir said this with a grin.

Naanu - Abir teekh keh raha hai. Ab toh woh teekh ho gaya. Raat gayi baat gayi.

Mishti walks in at that time, talking on the phone. She looks at everyone and gestures hello.

M - Haan didi, main aur Abir kal subah tak pahunch jayenge. Tab tak ka intezaam ho gaya na? Kaun rahega bachon ke saath? Unka number mujhe de dijiye aur main bhi call karke confirm kar leti hoon.

M - Abir, packing ho gaya? Bags kahan hain? Haan did main wait kar rahi hoon. Aap number doondke de dijiye.

A - Nahi Mishti. Idhar kuch chal raha tha. 

M - Haan thank you didi. Main aur Abir abhi thode der mein niklenge. Nahi, car mein hi chal rahe hain. Abhi toh Abir teekh hua hai. Hum dono...

A - Hum bus mein bhi jaa sakte hain.

M - Haan bus ke chhat pe baito. Iss baar toh girne deti hoon.

A - Arre angry kyon ho rahi ho yaar? Main isliye keh raha hoon ki itni door hamein drive karna padega. Tired ho jayenge.

M - Hamein nahi. Main drive karoongi. Jaldi pahonch jayenge aur shaayad vahan gaadi ki zaroorat ho.

Kunal - Bhai, Mishti...main saath chalta hoon na. Thoda main bhi drive kar loonga.

M - Kunal kya tum teen-char din kaam se door reh sakte ho? Aur vahan camping types hi rehna padega. Adjust kar loge?

Kunal - Haan, maa manage kar lengi. Maa?

Meenu - Haan sure. Abir ka help hoga toh no problem.

M - OK then. Didi - hum do nahi...ek minute...Kuhu tu bhi chalegi kya? (Kuhu nods yes) Achcha didi hum char jayenge. Kaam bhi jaldi ho jayegi. Achcha woh phone number? OK, main aapke text ka wait karti hoon. Bye!

Abir tum jaake pack karo na. Hum kuch khaane ke liye le jayenge toh time save hoga. Humein raste mein rukna nahi padega. Kuhu, Kunal - tum bhi jao na. Jaldi nikalna padega.

BM - Mishti…

M - Ek minute badi-maa. Yeh call attend karna padega. Hello? Haan, boliye naa. Didi bol rahi thi ki aap aaj ruk jayenge bachon ke saath? Aise kaise? Kyun nahi? Waise bhi  jinhe aapne appoint kiya, unko responsibility hai nahi. Ab aap bhi aise karenge toh bachon ka kya hoga? Hum kal subah pahunch jayenge. Tab tak aap rukiye unke saath, nahi toh mein danda leke aaongi aapse milne.

A - Kitni violent ho yaar tum. Do, main hi baat karta hoon unse. Hello... haan sorry. Aap jo kar rahe hein, uske liye thank you. Aapko kal subah tak hi rukna hai. Hum abhi nikal rahe hain. 

Jasmeet - Yeh toh kisi anjaan ko marne ke liye ready hai. Kuhu, yeh tera kya karegi. Kyon ja rahi hai isko help karne?

Kuhu - Mishti #notdone. Kya kar rahi hai tu?

M - Kuhu tumhe pata nahi hai. Pehle usne aise logon ko appoint kiya bachon ka dhyan rakhne ke liye jinhone ek baar bhi unke bare mein nahi socha aur bhaag gaye shaadi karne. Ab bol rahe hain ki unhe kal kaam hai, toh uske baad nahi ruk sakte. Kitne irresponsible ho sakte hain yaar?

Varsha - Mishti, Kuhu ne hamein bataya ki Abir ke coffee mein usne sleeping pills milaye the.

Mishti looks at Kuhu, Kunal and Abir. 

M - Ab kyon bataya?

Kunal - Woh phir maasi...maa... ko sab blame kar rahe the.

M - I’m glad ki tumne bata diya. Hum baaki sab car mein discuss karte hain na? (Looking at everyone else) Seriously, jaldi nikalna padega. Maasi aap hum sab ke liye khana pack kar dengi? Thank you!

All four run upstairs to pack and leave for Champaner. Meenu is helpless to do anything as things are moving too quickly. Maheshwaris are happy there has been no bada dhamaka and they have more time to process all the shocks and surprises that came their way.

Nidhi - Of course, humara Abir holika dahan karega na. Ghar ka bada beta hai. Agar phir kisi ne uske coffee mein kuch milayi nahi toh.

Meenu - Nidhi!

Kosulu - Maariwali, kya bol che?

Jasmeet - Nidhi ji, aap Parul ko dekh kar kyun bol rahe hain? Woh Abir ke saath aise kyun karengi?

Varsha - Jasmeet!

Jasmeet - Bhabhi, mein toh aise hi pooch rahi thi ki shayad inko pata chal gaya ki Abir ke saath aisa kisne kiya aur kyun.

Nidhi - haan haan, aap logon ne beti di hai, to aapko bhi sach pata hona chahiye.

Maheshwaris are looking at each other. Kunal and others are looking at Parul maasi and Parul maasi is in tears.

Kuhu - #Enough! Parul maasi ne kuch nahi kiya. Bro ke coffee main sleeping pills mere haath se galti se gir gaye the!

Everyone is surprised - Kya?

Kunal - What? Kuhu? Agar galti se coffee mein gir gaye the, toh tumne bataya kyun nahi? Sabko coffee pene se roka kyun nahi?

Meenu - Kya Mishti ko pata tha ki tumne aise kiya? Isiliye woh baar baar tumhe dekhke baat kar rahi thi? 

Kuhu - Haan, Mishti ko pata hai.

Meenu - Aur usne kisiko kuch nahi bataya?

Meenakshi was just waiting for an opportunity to blame Mishti. Everyone is upset and the Maheshwaris are not quite sure what to do or say. Jasmeet is unable to understand why Kuhu suddenly confessed when everything was going according to plan and Parul maasi was being blamed. Abir walked in just then after finishing his call. He got blessings from BM and BP.

A - Radhe Krishna badi-maa. Kya hua? Aap log pareshan lag rahe hain.

Meenu - Pareshan kyun nahi lagenge. Betiyon ne aisa hi kaam kiya hai. Tumhare coffee main neend ki goli Kuhu ne milaye tha aur Mishti ye jaante hue bhi chup rahi aur kisi ko kuch nahi bataya.

Abir looked at everyone. Kunal was really upset, his mother looked upset but he could tell she was happy her plan had worked. Everyone else was wondering how to defuse this situation. 

A - Haan Mishti ne mujhe bataya tha aur maine usse kaha ki woh iss baat ko chod dein. Kuhu se galti ho gayi. Usne thode hi jaan boojh kar dala tha. 

Kunal - Phir usne kuch kaha kyun nahi bhai…

A - Woh toh hamein khud se puchna chahiye Nanko ki itne din hamare saath rehne ke baad bhi Kuhu ne kyun socha ki hum usse blame karenge, kyun hamein sach batene se darr rahi thi. Lekin bro I am happy ki tumne khud bol diya. Ab iss baat ko bhool jate hain na. Galti toh sab se ho jaati hai, hai na maa? Nanko?

Jasmeet - Achcha ji, woh muhboli ne bol diya aur aap sab…

Shaurya - Jasmeet, Kuhu ne khud bola ki ussine kiya

Jasmeet - Main nahi maanti, pata nahi muhboli ne kya bol diya usko ki yeh ilzaam apne upar le rahi hai. Badboli tumhe kya ho gaya? Kisi aur ki galti tum apne sar kyon le rahi ho (looking at Parul)? Bhabhi, yeh badboli bhi na - ek naukrani ko bachane ke liye apne sasural mein khud pe blame le rahi hai.

Varsha/BM - Jasmeet!

Kuhu - Chachi #stop!

Kunal - Woh naukrani nahi hain! Meri maa hain! Vaise bhi Kuhu kyon kisi aur ki galti apne sar legi?

Masheswaris are shocked by Kunal’s statement. Parul and Abir are happy Kunal accepted that she was his mother. Meenakshi is upset.

Kunal - Mujhe pata hai aap log shock mein ho. Actually, mujhe bhi yeh sach kuch din pehle hi pata chala aur mein abhi bhi try kar raha hoon yeh accept karne ke liye. 

Jasmeet - Yeh toh very good ho gaya na, ab muhboli ghar ki maalkin ban gayi aur badboli naukrani. Maine toh kaha tha ki muhboli ke iss ghar mein aane se badboli ki zindagi barbaad ho jayegi aur aise hi hua.

Kunal - Aisa kuch bhi nahi hai. Hum mein se koi bhi aisa nahi sochta, khaskar ke Mishti. In fact, usse toh bhai se bhi pehle pata tha ki maasi ne mujhe janam diya par usne kissise kuch nahi kaha. Bhai ne usse break up kiya, tab bhi usne kuch nahi kaha. Usne mujhe bataya kyunki…

Jasmeet - Toh ussine bataya na. Waise toh bahut mahaan banke ghoomti hai. Aisa hi hai to tumhe bataya hi kyun? 

Kunal - Ab sab sach samne aa raha hai toh mai yeh bhi ata deta hoon. Nishant ke drink main alcohol maine hi mix kiya tha. Mujhe pata nahi tha ki woh recovering alcoholic hai. Jab Mishti ko pata chala toh woh bahut gussa thi aur ussi gusse mein usne mujhe yeh bata diya.

Jasmeet - Mishti ko pata tha ki Nannu ke drink mein alcohol tumne milaya aur usne hamse kuch nahi kaha?

Kunal - Kuhu ko bhi pata tha aur usne bhi kuch nahi kaha aur phir jab mujhe mera sach pata chala…

Varsha - Tumhe toh bahut shock hua hoga Kunal. Mishti ko aise tumhe batana nahi chahiye tha.

Parul -  Aur Mishti toh uske baad mujhse aur benba se maafi bhi maangne aayi thi.

Abir - Waise jo hua achcha hua. Nanko - Kuhu ne galti maan li, ab chod do iss baat ko.

Meenu, however, was not willing to let the opportunity to blame Mishti go.

Meenu - Mishti ne tumhe sach mein bataya ya tum uske liye cover-up kar rahe ho Abir? Maine usse directly poocha aur usne mujhe kuch nahi bataya.

A - Main kyon cover-up karoonga maa? Mishto ko maine bola ki woh kuch nahi bolen, woh toh kafi naaraaz thi aur sab ko sach bata deti.

Kuhu - Bro, aap toh bol rahe hain ki baat khatam ho jaye, lekin Mishti toh isse nahi chodegi. #Mybirthday and Mishti will make me miserable.

A - Aisa nahi hai bro. Usine toh mujhse kaha ki aaj teri birthday hai aur humne woh surprise arrange kiya tha tumhare liye. Tum isse hamare taraf se gift samjho na. Actually, ek dusara reason hai Mishti ab iss baat se aur tumse nahi kuch aur se naaraz hai.

Abir looked mischievous. 

Kuhu - Kya?

A - Woh Champaner ke school mein ek problem hai toh woh usko sulajhne mein busy hai. Jab tak woh solve hoga, yeh toh old news ho jayegi na.

Abir said this with a grin.

Naanu - Abir teekh keh raha hai. Ab toh woh teekh ho gaya. Raat gayi baat gayi.

Mishti walks in at that time, talking on the phone. She looks at everyone and gestures hello.

M - Haan didi, main aur Abir kal subah tak pahunch jayenge. Tab tak ka intezaam ho gaya na? Kaun rahega bachon ke saath? Unka number mujhe de dijiye aur main bhi call karke confirm kar leti hoon.

M - Abir, packing ho gaya? Bags kahan hain? Haan did main wait kar rahi hoon. Aap number doondke de dijiye.

A - Nahi Mishti. Idhar kuch chal raha tha. 

M - Haan thank you didi. Main aur Abir abhi thode der mein niklenge. Nahi, car mein hi chal rahe hain. Abhi toh Abir teekh hua hai. Hum dono...

A - Hum bus mein bhi jaa sakte hain.

M - Haan bus ke chhat pe baito. Iss baar toh girne deti hoon.

A - Arre angry kyon ho rahi ho yaar? Main isliye keh raha hoon ki itni door hamein drive karna padega. Tired ho jayenge.

M - Hamein nahi. Main drive karoongi. Jaldi pahonch jayenge aur shaayad vahan gaadi ki zaroorat ho.

Kunal - Bhai, Mishti...main saath chalta hoon na. Thoda main bhi drive kar loonga.

M - Kunal kya tum teen-char din kaam se door reh sakte ho? Aur vahan camping types hi rehna padega. Adjust kar loge?

Kunal - Haan, maa manage kar lengi. Maa?

Meenu - Haan sure. Abir ka help hoga toh no problem.

M - OK then. Didi - hum do nahi...ek minute...Kuhu tu bhi chalegi kya? (Kuhu nods yes) Achcha didi hum char jayenge. Kaam bhi jaldi ho jayegi. Achcha woh phone number? OK, main aapke text ka wait karti hoon. Bye!

Abir tum jaake pack karo na. Hum kuch khaane ke liye le jayenge toh time save hoga. Humein raste mein rukna nahi padega. Kuhu, Kunal - tum bhi jao na. Jaldi nikalna padega.

BM - Mishti…

M - Ek minute badi-maa. Yeh call attend karna padega. Hello? Haan, boliye naa. Didi bol rahi thi ki aap aaj ruk jayenge bachon ke saath? Aise kaise? Kyun nahi? Waise bhi  jinhe aapne appoint kiya, unko responsibility hai nahi. Ab aap bhi aise karenge toh bachon ka kya hoga? Hum kal subah pahunch jayenge. Tab tak aap rukiye unke saath, nahi toh mein danda leke aaongi aapse milne.

A - Kitni violent ho yaar tum. Do, main hi baat karta hoon unse. Hello... haan sorry. Aap jo kar rahe hein, uske liye thank you. Aapko kal subah tak hi rukna hai. Hum abhi nikal rahe hain. 

Jasmeet - Yeh toh kisi anjaan ko marne ke liye ready hai. Kuhu, yeh tera kya karegi. Kyon ja rahi hai isko help karne?

Kuhu - Mishti #notdone. Kya kar rahi hai tu?

M - Kuhu tumhe pata nahi hai. Pehle usne aise logon ko appoint kiya bachon ka dhyan rakhne ke liye jinhone ek baar bhi unke bare mein nahi socha aur bhaag gaye shaadi karne. Ab bol rahe hain ki unhe kal kaam hai, toh uske baad nahi ruk sakte. Kitne irresponsible ho sakte hain yaar?

Varsha - Mishti, Kuhu ne hamein bataya ki Abir ke coffee mein usne sleeping pills milaye the.

Mishti looks at Kuhu, Kunal and Abir. 

M - Ab kyon bataya?

Kunal - Woh phir maasi...maa... ko sab blame kar rahe the.

M - I’m glad ki tumne bata diya. Hum baaki sab car mein discuss karte hain na? (Looking at everyone else) Seriously, jaldi nikalna padega. Maasi aap hum sab ke liye khana pack kar dengi? Thank you!

All four run upstairs to pack and leave for Champaner. Meenu is helpless to do anything as things are moving too quickly. Maheshwaris are happy there has been no bada dhamaka and they have more time to process all the shocks and surprises that came their way.

champaner and all 4, again we get some preciosu moments of mishbir and this time all real...

That’s really encouraging. Will write more and update Ruhi.

Second part is here. Let me know what you think. I've started on the next 2 parts simultaneously since I'm having kuku and mishbir conversations so I'll probably update both at the same time. I'm torn on whether to write it story style or conversation style. Dialogues come to mind more easily, but they are probably difficult to read and you can't really see the scenes I have in my mind. Need to spend a little time describing the scene too if I write it this way I guess. Anyway, trial and error at this point, and suggestions welcome :)

Part 2

Abir, Mishti, Kunal and Kuhu packed quickly and came down. Parul maasi had packed their food and some snacks for the journey. Maheshwaris are getting ready to leave. They were waiting to say bye to the four of them.

Varsha - Kuhu, Mishti...tum dono ladna mat

Naanu - Varsha beta, jhagde toh har parivaar mein hote hain. Abir aur Kunal bhi ek dusre se ladte hain. 

Nidhi - par bapuji Kuhu teacher aur Misti humare Abir aur Kunal jaise thode hi hain! Yeh toh ek dusre ko like bhi nahi karte!

Koslu - Mariwali...

BM - Mishti…

M - Badi-maa, ab toh hum jaldi mein hain. Kuhu aur mein hamare problems solve kar lenge. Hum bacche nahi hain. Kyun Kuhu?

Kuhu - Haan dadi, mamma #notkids. Waise bhi, main iske saath akele toh nahi jaa rahi hoon, Bro aur Kunal hain hamare saath.

A - Haan badi-maa. Aap chinta mat kijiye.

M - Accha ab chalen? Kunal wait kar raha hai.

Shaurya - Maa, hum bhi chalte hain. Bahut late ho gaya.

They all leave at the same time. Mishti is driving. Kunal sits next to her in the front. 

Kuhu - Tum kyun samne baite ho? #notdone

Kunal - Arre bhai so gaye toh? Aur samne baithe directions dena mere liye easy hoga. Already raat mein drive karna padega, agar tum samne baitoge aur jhagda karoge toh aur problem ho sakti hai.

A - Come on Bro, in dono ko chod do. Hum peeche maza karenge!

Kuhu - Sure bro #fundrive

They drive for a while with Abir and Kuhu singing in the back. In a while, they are out of traffic and on the highway.

M - Accha ab bolo na ghar mein kya hua? Aise kaise suddenly sabko sach bata diya Kunal? Yeh bhi bol diya ki Parul maasi hi tumhari maa hai?

Kuhu - Kyon? Tumhein kya lagta hai - ki sach tum hi bol sakti ho? #harishchandra?

A - Come on bro!

Kunal - Actually, drama toh thoda zyada hi ho gaya. Nidhi mami ne phir se Parul maasi ko blame kiya aur iss baar Kuhu se raha nahi gaya. Usne sach bol diya, phir Jasmeet chachi ne maasi ko naukrani bola, toh maine sab ko sach bata diya ki woh meri maa hain aur yeh bhi bata diya maine Nishant ke drink mein alcohol milaya tha

M - What?

A - Haan Mishti, sach bolne ke liye kaafi competition tha aaj

Kunal - Bhai please! Aap joke mat banana isse

A - Aur kya karna hai Nanko? Maine Mishti ko bola tha ke hamare ghar mein daily khane ke saath drama bhi serve hota hai. Aaj toh double-triple serving ho gayi!! 

M - Sab bahut shock hue honge aur ab hum wahan nahi hain. Pata nahi kya hoga.

A - Kya hoga? Maa yeh soch rahi hongi ki yeh sab ke liye tumhe kaise blame karen. Shayad hamare wapas aane tak iskeliye plan bhi bana lengi

Kunal - Stop it Bhai! Maa ko accha nahi laga hoga ki maine sabke saamne yeh sab accept kiya

A - Arre tumne yeh toh nahi bataya na ki Nishant ke drink spike karna maa ka hi idea tha. Aur maa ko maa bolna buri baat nahi hai Nanko

Kuhu - Buri baat nahi hai bro, but itne din se maa hi toh Kunal ki maa rahi hain. Ab sabke samne Parul maasi ko apni maa keh diya toh maa ko bura toh lagega #sad

A - Accha bro maan leta hoon ki maa ko bura laga. Yeh socho na ki maasi ko kitna accha laga hoga. 

M - Haan Kunal maasi tumse bahut pyaar karti hain aur woh kaafi sad thi jab sabne unpe gussa kiya

A - Accha Kuhu mujhe ek baat bata, woh sleeping pills tumhare haath kaise lag gaye?

Kuhu - Kya bro, aap hi ne kaha tha ki woh baat bhool jate hain #oldnews

A - haan, mujhe just ek khayal aaya isiliye. ..

Kuhu - Aap bhi Mishti ki tarah detective ban gaye kya? #jasoosi

A - Bolo na…please?

Kunal - Woh aisa hai Kuhu, bhai ko lag raha hoga ki yeh maa ki koi plan thi. Hai na bhai?

Kuhu - Maa ki plan? Kaisa plan?

A - Arre Big Ben ke dimaag mein hamesha kuch na kuch plan chalta rehta hai.

Kuhu doesn’t say anything but starts thinking about the sequence of events before the pills fell into the coffee. Could Meenu have said all that on purpose? But to what end? She starts thinking whether bro is right about maa, thinking back to events with the haar for Mishti’s pehli rasoi also. The others notice her abstraction. 

M - Let’s take a break guys. Kha lete hain.

Mishti stops the car on the side. They all get off and get the food and gather around the front of the car eating.

A - Bro, tum kuch kehna nahi chahti ho, and that’s ok, lekin main maa ko janta hoon. Woh kuch kaam toh openly kar deti hain but unhe manipulate karna bhi aata hai. Unko yeh dikhana hi hai ki woh sahi hain.

Kunal - Bhai, yeh sach hai ki maa aise kar sakti hain, but aapke saath kabhi nahi karengi. Aap jante hain maa kitne pareshan ho gayi thi aapko beemar dekh ke? Main kabhi nahi manunga ki maa ne jaan bujh ke aapke saath yeh hone diya.

A - Aur agar yeh Mishti ke saath hua hota? Tab bhi tum aise hi kahoge Nanko ki maa aisa nahi kar sakti?

Kunal - What? Lekin…

A - Bro…

Kuhu (looking confused and worried) - Haan, sorry guys but woh sleeping pills dekh ke mujhe laga ki agar Mishti woh leke so jati toh woh puja mein shamil nahi hogi #sleepingbeauty. Usne mujhse puja mein dakhal nahi dene ke liye kaha tha aur tum aur bro mere help maang rahe the aur mein just generally upset thi Kunal ki sab tumhe kaam chodne ko keh rahe hain and become #unemployed.

A - Bro, Nanko kaam nahi chodega. Use kaam karna accha lagta hai aur khud company ko itna badaya hai usne. Hum toh mazak kar rahe the aur hum chahte the ki woh thoda tumhare saath bhi time bitaye. 

M - Anyway, company toh uska aur maa ka hai, toh wohi decide karenge naa. Jaise NGO Abir ka hai. Aur tumhe pata hai maine aise kyun bola. But phir bhi, maine shayad overreact kiya tha.

Kuhu - Shayad? Main bol rahi thi ki mistake se haar toot gaya aur tumne maana hi nahi. Kitni baar sorry bhi bola but tum toh #unforgiving!

M - OK, Uss baat ke liye I am sorry, but uske badle mein jo tumne kiya... 

A - Mishti, please hum woh sleeping pills wali baat yahi khatam kar lete hain. As it is maa iss baat ko lekar bahut drama karengi. Agar hum char iss baare mein ek hi mind ke honge, toh shayad yeh tal jayegi. Please? And I mean, really end it!

M - Fine then, Kuhu kya hum phir ceasefire pe jaa sakte hain?

Kuhu - I guess #forbro

Kunal in the meantime has been thinking about everything Kuhu said. He wants to know more about why she felt and reacted as she did.

M - Ab hamein nikalna chahiye. Chalen?

Kunal - Main drive karta hoon. Kuhu tum mere saath samne baitho naa?

A - Wah wah, car mein romance. Nanko, tu bada ho gaya re

Kunal - Bhai, aapko pata hai car drive karte hue romance karenge toh romantic hoga ya nahi hoga pata nahi, but accident zaroor hoga

Kuhu (smiling) - I agree Kunal, aur waise bhi bro, aap aur Mishti toh peeche baithe ho toh kaisa romance?

A - Lekin main toh meri biwi ke saath romance karne wala hoon. Tum logon aankhen saamne rakho aur kaan bandh kar lo

M - Shut up Ajeeb Rajvansh!

They get into the car and start driving again. Each one of them is lost in their own thoughts for a while. Mishti is thinking that Abir was right and maa is still trying to make her life difficult, but is wondering what else she can do to gain some level of acceptance. Abir is thinking about how to properly resolve differences between the sisters so that maa can’t use that to create problems. Kuhu is thinking about everything that happened and wondering if perhaps Jasmeet chachi is wrong about Mishti. Who could she ask about all this? Kunal is wondering about Kuhu and why she did what she did.

I read both the chapters together and ab mere dimaag me party chal rahi hai!

1st chapter me sach ka kaafi overdose ho gaya but I like how you addressed that in the 2nd chapter with Abir saying, "sach bolne ke liye kaafi competition tha aaj"😆. 

These ideas have been tossed around in various discussions but you brought all of them together in one fic. Also, to narrate that much story in 2 chapters and not making the readers confused is a commendable job!!👏 Your writing and thought process is so fresh!! The story is dramatic, funny, fast paced and as close to the original characters as it possibly can be with the storyline. And I can't tell you how happy I am to see all 4 of them team up rather than being pitted against each other!! #Fantastic4

Thank you for liking my random thoughts on the show🙆🏻‍♀️. 

I am really excited to read the conversations, especially Kunal's because we don't get his POV in the show. Pata hi nahi hai kya chalta hai iss ladke ke dimaag me. And I agree! Do these people even sleep in the same room??!

Also, before I forget again, I wanted to appreciate one more thing. You included all the characters in your story, be it Parul, Meenu, Chachi, Maami, everyone! Even Shaurya, the showpiece! It's nice to see him getting some footage. Thank you for making it feel like they are an ensemble cast because that has been a dream of mine. All the characters are so layered that it bugs me when I can't get their perspectives.
