Dhritarashtra’s ambitions were one of the causes of Kurukshetra.

Shakuni keeps brainwashing Duryodhan and asks him to dream of becoming the king of Hastinapur.  And describes the scene of burning Lakshagriha n Pandavas with Kunti getting burnt inside .

 Vidur’ spies gives him news about the next new moon the Lakshagriha would be set on fire by Duryodhan’s planted spies . Vidur sends his spy to pass message to Yudhisthir that he should sneak out of the Lakshagriha the night before the new moon and remain safe .

At lakshagriha Yudhishtira asks Arjun to check the tunnel n pass instructions to the digger. Arjun meets  the underground cave digger and asks him to complete the construction of cave within stipulated time .Yudhishthira pays handsomely to the underground  cave digger n sends him away . Tunnel digger says no need to thank him ..being true citizen it was his duty to take care of the king n throne n their Yuvraj . Even princes n Yuvraj were citizens, they too had their duties .

At Hastinapur Gandhari gets nightmare of getting caught in flaming pit and being unable to get away and Mahadev’s tandav nritya .she shares her dreams with Dhritarashtra’s.

Purvachan ji  gets the local tribals drunk n enjoy  . He informs Duryodhan that Pandavas will never return to Hastinapur only their skeletons will return .

The Tribals get totally drunk ... Bheem sets fire to Lakshagriha and  the  Pandavas n Kunti escape thru the tunnel.

Spies of Shakuni inform him about the incident and they found no trace of Pandavas or Kunti ... they presume the six were reduced to ashes .

Shakuni shares this news with Dhritarashtra n Gandhari who are heart broken . Shakuni sheds Crocodile tears .

Shakuni then informs Bheeshm who is very depressed on hearing the news ...he shuts himself in his Bhavan .

Pandavas set the Lakshagriha ablaze n escape thru tunnel secretly . They are full of fury . Bheem refuses to remain quiet and roam around in hiding as The wicked Duryodhan n Shakuni rejoice .They ought to fight back n punish the criminals.

Dhritarashtra calms him.

At Hastinapur Shakuni rejoices the news of Pandavas n Kunti getting burnt to ashes , he dreams of maki g Dury Yuvraj n king of Hastinapur .Karn is however very upset over killing brave warriors by cheating n not by fighting at war .

He disagrees with Shakuni . Even Duryodhan is unhappy over using underhand ways to kill brave warriors ,,he had always dreamt of killing Bheem at had a yudh .

Bheeshm goes into mourning in his room n does not make appearance for mo this . One fine day he walks to Ganges to perform last rites for Kunti n Pandavas . Ganga Mata appears n informs they were alive . Bheeshm is shocked . She asks him to ask Vidur about this .

Vidur reveals the plottings of Shakuni and how he was back seat driving Duryodhan. Bheeshm is furious for not keeping him in the picture . Vidur explains that they might have avoided the incident but they would never have k own how low Shakuni n Duryodhan would have stooped in their hatred for Pandavas . Bheeshm is disgusted on knowing this .

Bheeshm wants to know where were the Pandavas .. Vidur says they were safe somewhere .

In the jungles Pandavas and Kunti are walking thru the forests in plain clothes ..Kunti n Nakul Sahdev are tired . She can walk no more . Yudhisthir states it was not safe to halt here ...Bheemthen offers to carry the three on his shoulders. Soon they arrive at a shady grove n rest under. Tree for the night .

When all are asleep Bheem keeps awake n keeps watch on the family 

At night Rakshni Hidimba notices the handsome Bheem n falls in love with him at first sight . His brother rakshas Hidimb arrives n wants to enjoy human flesh n kill the humans ..Bheem repels the attacks n kills Hidimb Rakshas 

During this fight Hidimba helps Bheem by using her Mayavi Shakti .Kunti n the four brothers wake up n witness Bheem killing the rakshas .

After Hidimb is killed His sister Hidimba seeks blessings from Kunti n wants to marry Bheem .Yudhishtira declines the offer saying Rakshas n Human marriages will never succeed also Bheem can’t be left back to live with rakshas .

Hidimba then pleads Kunti  that she had given her heart to Bheem n her birth must not come in the way of her loving Bheem 

After much pondering Kunti agrees for Bheem Hidimba marriage . Bheem will stay with her only until she is blessed with child . Hidimba agrees .
