Has anyone here seen The handmaid's tale?
Out of the various shows that I have watched I think it is one of the best televisions shows ever made be it in terms of story or performances.
Although the show starts a little bit slow but boy when it picks up its pace.
Eagerly waiting for season 4.
It is based on the book of the same name by Margret Atwood.
Oooh whats it about?
I'm trying to find good shows to watch, I'm sick of same old stuff on Netflix.
So The Handmaid's Tale is a dystopian drama, it takes place in Gilead (Formerly United States).
So its a totally authoritarian state, where women do not have any rights at all because they are considered to be inferior to men, when I say no rights I meant it they cannot read, access computers or own property.
So the world is going through a fertility crises wherein only a few women have the ability to bear a child, of which chances of successful births are not that great.
So all the women who can concive are the handmaid's, they are allotted to a commander and when they give birth to his child, they are moved to another.
It's a story of one such handmaid fighting this Regime.
Trust me this show is so impactful that you cannot dislike it.
I would definitely say it is quite slow in the begining but when it picks up the pace it's great AF!

Heard a lot about it and even was planning to start but keep on stalling it to kinda avoid so much serious, intense stuffs.
