Why Generation leap is always failed in TV

Naagin did took generation leap in Season 2 and that worked, show did well somehow. Later on there was no generation leap in Season 3, just another story and was totally different. N3 ruled the chart even did better and this season 4 is not a generation leap of season 3 entirely as it got entirely new cast just Vish is there from old generation if 2-3 more characters from season 3 returns then it can be consider as generation leap entirely. For now 50/50! Anyways TRP aren't that bad of Season 4.

Shows like YRKKH and KKB is running successfully with generation leaps. Shakti enters TOP 10 post generation leap as far as I know.

Just need to make a new topics which is not even related to this forum anyway.about generation leap well 80%show did work when took generation leap.naagin 4 trp is great its number 2 and number one on colors channel so I don't know what people talking about.they have many show so popular via online but very low trp by Barc trp system they still running with 1.5 trp .online trp don't count for survived on tv .

Now the show you mentioned most of them are running successfully more then 5 years or near 5 years .if show run 5 years or even more then 3 years what will they show?because whatever idea they have it they already showing so they have to took more leap and then some leap don't work so show goes off air.star plus sns is most worst show in the world but they always number 1 even when that go off air it still has high trp .shakti just took leap and I heard their trp is not that bad.when their lead exit and new lead introduced its take time to accept.

There are almost every show in Indian TV that took generation leaps and every show become flop or disaster 

When story focus on Lead it become super hot but when it focus story on lead's children then becomes flop

Even in colors channel shows like Uttaran, Balika vadhu, Sasural Simar ka, Madhubala or recently Udaan, Shakti has taken generation leap and all of them has become flop

 

Even in naagin is also same thing happening

@Bold- Sorry but this is over-exaggeration, as all of ekta's K serials have successfully run with generation leaps, even kkb currently, yeh rishta is still running successfully but is slowly sloping down only due to them running out of ideas now on how to run show but it's still big. Leaps don't work for all shows and often it's hard to predict which post-leap stories click with audience and which don't but ekta's serials are known for always successfully running gen leaps.

Generation leap ruined whole naagin series for good if you have not seen nagina 2 movie is big example over here srideviji played her own daughter opposite sunny deol in the movie and movie bombed at box office plus same thing happened in naagin 2 mouni played shivangi & show got ruined from start to finish
