Street Dancer 3 Is Below The Mark On Monday

Street Dancer 3 fell 55% on Monday which is around 10-15% more than it should have fallen as it should have been on the other side of 50% to get a decent run. The total business of the film the film 43.25 crore in four days and the week will be heading for towards the 52-53 crore nett mark..

The drop means it will struggle post the first week with the only hope being steady weekday collections and then minimal drop on the second Friday but that does look a tall order. The theatrical performance of the film is not going to be up to the mark but unlike Panga this film be safe due to the non theatrical rights. The film had a 65 crore recovery from satellite, digital and music and a 18-20 crore rebate to come from UK so recovery was never an issue. But as mentioned before this is the case with most films barring very few and a theatrical performance is where the talent involved in the film get a boost.  The collections of Street Dancer 3 till date are as follows.

Saturday - 12,50,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 17,00,00,000 apprx

Monday - 4,25,00,000 apprx

You don't have to watch the other movies. It's a standalone story. There is a 3D version if you want to see it in 3D.

Looks like will finish around 70crrs. Probably flop or below average

Street Dancer 3 First Tuesday Business

Street Dancer 3 had another big drop on Tuesday as it collected 3.50 crore nett taking its total to nearly 47 crore nett and it will be a 53 crore nett first week for the film which is a poor number. The Tuesday fall means there is no chance that the film can go anywhere as the second Friday is certain to be low even if it does not drop hugely from the Thursday. 

The film is a major under performer but wont be a Pagalpanti or Panipat even with a higher budget than those two films due to good non theatrical recovery and a UK rebate which will take it over the line as far as the makers are concerned. The writing was pretty much on the wall as the film could not collect double digits on day one though growth on Saturday and a Republic Day holiday on Sunday offered some hope but it was not to be and the audience had rejected the film.  The collections of Street Dancer 3 till date are as follows.

Street Dancer 3 Has Low First Week

Street Dancer 3 has not fared well with a low first week of 52.50 crore nett when the weekend should have really been around the 50 crore nett mark. A dance film is a risk as you only really have 50% of the Hindi markets to cater to and here they have to really liked it to compensate for other parts which dont take to dance films.

ABCD 2 got through due to very good numbers in Mumbai, South and Bengal while ABCD 1 had low costs and Maharashtra was enough and here the film has done better in the above markets but they have not taken to it. Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior has hit it in Mumbai, Nizam amd CP Berer but that will be just 10-15% and its more to do with the content not clicking where teh ABCD filsm did. The film will probably see another drop on its second Friday even with weak competition. The film was very weak in North as Delhi / UP and East Punjab recorded dull collections.  The collections of Street Dancer 3 till date are as follows.
