Yes there was.  Actually if I’m not mistaken as soon as news of Ranbhoomi came out so did rumors that Varun doesn’t want Alia in it.  But still, this announcement 😆.  A little subtlety would have been nice.

Because he's brand amabassador of Lux Cozy. Promote karne ke paise bhi mil jayenge extra. He did the same in SD3D. Reebok ka adv ho gaya kisi gaane ke shuruat mein.

A-week-later stars should not be of fest superstar's stature. SRK can't take advantage if he releases his movie a week after Eid, but a smaller star can. Symathy gets to the small one. Akshay took advantage coz he is not a 300cr star. His movies only need 120cr+ to get hit status. Baaki toh bonus hai.
