Biopics are always boring because the person's story is already known. Reviewers won't criticize it because it would seem like criticizing the subject or the person it's based on. 

What else can they show other than the girl having a nice middle class life, rejecting a guy, getting acid thrown, fighting in court and then overcoming and learning to like her face again. It would always be predictable.

BWHungama is predicting that Chappaak will open at 5 crores and Tanaji at 10-12 crores.

If it ends up being correct, that's very low for both.
