That cannot change according to my individual perception. Similarly, 2.3, 2.5, and 3 are trps more than 2.2 while 2.1, 2, 1.9 and 1.8 are lesser are also facts, not subject to perceptions. Fair enough?
You may not be talking about individual POVs but I am and that individual is me. And I always will be talking about my own POV, interpretations, understanding and observations. TRPs 2.3, 2.5 and 3 are for sure are you saying Komolika 1 who lead show to 3 the highest ever for the show was logical? And another fact is there that post Komo1 and end of last track ratings took a deep dive.
Right so combining that with your observations regarding what gets trps, let's talk about that. See, no one can deny that the show was always illogical. I will go a step further and say itv, in its very nature of daily dramas, survives by showing illogical things. Now let us not even indulge in a discussion of what is more illogical, because as I already said that's upto individual perception.
I just expressed an observation in simplest of words that illogical stuff is gaining more ratings. So even if its the nature of ITV, is it wrong to mention it? You and I have different experience with ITV, so may be you have seen worse than we currently see in KZK, but why should that stop me or any individual to say what they want to say about KZK. I would not like to blv that when show was launched viewers were expecting something like this just because ITV works like that.
So without bringing that in, when you say that illogical tracks bring trps, it's impossible to quantitatively judge that because simply put in the small pool of audience that is this forum, the perception of what is most illogical and therefore highest trp gainer will differ. How then, can that be used to judge a pool as wide as a pan india trp audience? How can we say that the more illogical the track, the more the trps, when we among the 200 or so members in this forum ourselves cannot reach a consensus on WHAT qualifies as MOST illogical?
I mentioned TV trps so what made you think I wasn't talking about pan India viwers but 200 members of this forum? If you could help me understand that connection coz m not sure where this came from.
@bold- you have reversed what I actually said and that changes the whole meaning. I did not say track has to be illigical to get higher ratings. I said illogical tracks seems to be getting more trps. The crazier the fight between Komolika and Prerna got higher ratings were fetched. So there is a difference in what I said and how you've mentioned it above.
As far as consensus is concerned we may not reach a consensus ever but we can still share and exchange views.
Now let's look as some other facts.
This show is a love story of two individuals who are destined to never meet, as advertised by the PH. They are the lead couple of the show : fact
There are principle negative characters, or kasautii's which keep coming and going in their lives, each of which separate them: fact.
Now when you put these two facts together with a quantitatively definable trp, things become more interesting and easier to understand. That is to stay, the trps are the highest when the story revolves around the lead couple and there's enough drama (illogical for sure) AROUND them and ABOUT them. Not the ML or the FL alone, but them as a couple.
Okay this is where we are on different route to reach same destination. To you it looks like it is around and about lead couple figting illogical fight (we both agree its illogical) against villian, Komolika in this case. To me I only see Komolika and Prerna on screen, with a few scenes of lead couple here and there to keep this notion alive that we do have a lovestory somewhere. And both of us are neither right nor wrong. Just our ways of looking at things are different.
Irrespective of whether or not they hold hands or make gooey eyes at each other in a particular episode or episodes. And also then, it's not upto individual observations, opinions and perceptions, because comparing major tracks of the show till date with the average trps during their course, it basically speaks for itself.
@underline- i don't think I understood this particular part very well.
All I can say data is just data.. it becomes meaningful when its read and put as information.. it has several ways to be interpretated. A lot of information can be deduced from same pc of data. Every individual will have a different take so its always open to discussions.
Maybe this way, we can all stop peddling individual opinions as the law of the land and lay this trp debate to rest once and for all.
I think as long as we are civil in expressing our views let the individual views coming in. Because that's what the base of any open forum is. So let the Meaningful debate continue and learn more.
