Adil is without a doubt most effective Khalnayak in this show, he is playing everyone for a fool, manipulating them and breaking them from inside out, not a single character is unaffected from his manipulation. So far what I understood is that Adil knows this family, he knows how they will react in situations he is putting them, he knows what button he has to press to get a reaction.
Azaan, Shaira and Razia are same, the change he didn't anticipate is in Noor. He is trying to create misunderstandings between Shazaan, he is not giving them a chance to clear it, and to add to this there's a device in Azaan's body which makes him violent and crazy.
In Noor's case, he is trying to bring out the Noor who forced guilt tripped Shaira and forced Azaan to marry her.
Adil is Azaan's brother, most probably he is taking revenge on behalf of his father who lost everything because he married 2nd time, Adil wants Azaan to do what his father did. It is possible that his parents died and he was raised by his Dadi who manipulated him and created this angst against Razia and Azaan in him.
Writers of this show are not competent enough to handle a track nicely but they do leave hints. The hint was in equation between Shazaan and Noor before Adil's entry.
The day Adil was introduced to Noor, Shazaan consummated their marriage, we have two young people in love who can't live without each other. Noor was the one who facilitated this, she took everyone outside the house and was talking about Shazaan's kids.
Enters Adil and starts manipulating people, creating illusions and playing mind games.
He took advantage of Shaira's helping nature, he is showing only one side of himself to Shaira who is in love with Noor, he is the ideal partner for Noor as he knows what Noor needs and deserves before Shaira could tell him.
He is taking advantage of Azaan's anger and his impulsive nature, Azaan doesn't think before reacting, when he contemplates on his options Adil is creating situations to confuse him even more. Adil never said he loves Noor in front of Azaan, he is only after Shayra in Azaan's eyes.
He is taking advantage of Noor's feelings for Azaan, he showed Azaan's picture to Noor and told her that she loves Azaan, Noor grew up with him, she decided whatever she is feeling for Azaan is love. Adil is showing Noor his two sides 1 Who is in love with her 2 With Shaira.
If Noor loved Azaan, she would feel something when she facilitated his consummation with Shaira, I don't think she loves Azaan, she just likes the idea of being in love with Azaan because Azaan is everything she wants in a man, but she doesn't want Azaan. She is not jealous of Azaan and Shaira
Adil thought that Noor who hid her mother's culprit will again hide the truth of Shaira from Azaan. This is Noor's redemption, a circle of life, once she tried everything to get Azaan and this time she knows that Azaan's friendship is more important to her.
