Glad to see that in today's world of instant messaging and video calling, we're still keeping up the centuries' old tradition of writing letters! After all why bother calling or texting someone if you want to keep in touch with them? It's much better to pen down your thoughts, mail it and then wait for days to hear a reply back. It's much more fun this way!

Ashok's logic ki toh humein wah wah karni chahiye. πŸ˜Ž

Ek taraf se banda kehta hai ki mujhe meri beti se baat karne se koi ni rok sakta aur doosre taraf woh khud hi ni karta?

LOGIC!

Okay, he sent the money but woh toh separately bhi bhej sakta tha. Minnie se khud contact karne mein isse kisne roka? πŸ€”

For that matter, how did he know that HS and Babita got married? Kiski gossip iske paas jaa ri hai?? Beeji?? πŸ˜²

Unless, he saw it on Minnie's FB page which then... he's stalking her but still can't send her a quick message? Logic?? πŸ˜•

Chalo we'll find out not in today's episode. πŸ€”

On a more serious note, this is going to be my first and last warning to you all.

There will be NO MORE TALKS on the following:

  • Real life people and their opinions or personal equations with actors on the show. This includes people on Twitter, Instagram, other social media sites, or even the producers, director, writers or actors themselves.

  • No more screen shots being cross posted of rumors, theories, or speculations from other social media sites like Twitter or Instagram. The only kind of screen shots or cross posting that will be acceptable are tweets or Instagram posts / stories from the people directly involved with the show. I.e., actors, producers, director etc.

  • No more bashing. You can criticize and voice your frustration on the characters and the direction the writers have taken the show but you cannot take it out on the actors.

  • Keep all conversations healthy. Do not make cheap comments or personal attacks on others. We're all fed up of the current story line but it's not fair nor right to resort to cheap fights.

This should be it for now.

I know things are quite tensed, but let's be mature and dignified adults.

Update:

  • The postman has arrived with the letter for HS and passport for Minnie. Minnie takes the passport and hides it. She's about to receive the letter when Babes comes and scolds her for answering the door whilst wearing her bathrobe. She takes the letter. The postman asks for a tip since it's Diwali and he gave an important document. Babes gets confused and asks what document did he give. Minnie tries to divert the matter by accusing the postman of asking for a bribe from a policeman's house. The postman leaves. Babita tries to make Minnie understand that she's a grown girl now, she needs to be a little careful. Minnie jokes how Babes makes her a child or an adult as per her convenience. She takes the letter from Babes, places it on the table and runs upstairs while Babita calls after her.

  • Khatri brings jalebi for Kammo and feeds it to her. She asks why he's in such a romantic mood. He brings up Hanita and how Minnie has ordered for a passport and she was hiding it from Babita because she's planning on running away with Mickey. Kammo is happy about it and so is Khatri because Minnie's absence will make them seizing Babita's business a lot easier.

  • At Naeem Bi's, Minnie tells Mickey and Preet how she handled the passport situation. Preet tells Dadu how her grandfather is missing him for Diwali. Naeem Bi thanks and blesses the kids for spending some time with her, Beeji and Dadu. Mickey takes Dadu to play carom.

  • Hanita and Lala are washing the diya. Babita tells HS that a letter had come for him. He asks who it was from but she tells him she doesn't know. Why would she read his personal letter? HS what kind of personal letters are being written to him that she can't open and read? She answers, how should she know? Maybe it's from a past lover. HS gets defensive and tells her that he doesn't even look at someone else other than his own woman. He's a single woman man.

Lala calls HS out asking him to remember how he used to constantly flirt with Poonam during the wedding. Babita chimes in and asks Lala that a lot of girls must be crazy over HS. HS clicks his tongue but Lala agrees with Babita and says HS is Patiala's Krishna Kanhaiya. HS asks Lala why he's hell bent on getting him beat up. Babita tells HS to stop threatening Lala. HS gets defensive over his character. He asks where the letter is so that he can make matters clear to her. Babita laughs it off saying that she was just joking around and that she has no interest in his official letters. HS insists on reading it out to her since his character was questioned.

  • HS leaves to get the letter. Finding it, he sees that it's from Ashok. Babita comes after him wanting to see who the letter is from. HS tries to hide it from her but she insists, teasing him if he actually got a letter from a past lover. He goes to his wardrobe and swaps Ashok's letter with an electricity bill. Babita is a little disappointed. Seeing HS upset, she asks what happened but HS distracts her by asking if she still doubts him. Babita boops his nose saying she never doubted him in the first place. She was just teasing him. She gives him the bill and calls him upstairs for some more work. HS tells Babita that he'll join her later as he has to make a few important phone calls first. Babita insists on him coming with her. She loops her arm with his and takes him away. HS looks back to the letter he hid in the wardrobe.

  • Minnie is on the phone with Preet. HS comes downstairs and reads the letter.

  • Ashok's letter:

He congratulates Hanita on their marriage and hopes that HS is able to give Babita the love and happiness to Babita that he never could. He knows that HS might not like him writing to Babita after marriage, hence why he's writing to HS instead. With the letter, he has enclosed Rs. 50, 000. Babita had bought him the ticket for London and he had told her that he would repay her for it. Just like Babita didn't want to hold onto any favors from him and wanted to be free of him, he didn't want to hold onto any old relationships from her either. However, no matter how much she denies, there is one relationship that exists between him and her - Minnie. Minnie is his child and he has every right to speak and be in contact with her. No matter where he stayed, he used to send her a birthday gift but he couldn't do so this year. That's why, after removing Rs. 28, 000 from the Rs. 50, 000 he has sent, he wants the rest to go to Minnie. After spending so many years away from her, her ill-fated father doesn't even know her likes or dislikes. Hence, she can buy whatever she wants. He has also included a separate letter for her. He knows that Minnie harbors a lot of hate for him but behind all that hate there is a lot of pain too. He can see it in her tears. Maybe after reading the letter, her hate can lesson and she may come to forgive him.

  • Whilst reading the letter, HS flashes back to the conversation he had with Minnie wherein he had asked if he would ever listen to her father's side of the story and believe it.

  • He puts the letter away. Minnie calls him over and asks him if he can pour the oil in the diyas since she always spills it and then Babes yells at her. She also warns him not to spill any oil either otherwise Babes will yell at him. While Minnie keeps talking, HS thinks about the letter. Minnie asks what's wrong. HS tells her that he just saw her and got a bit emotional. He deflects the matter from going any further and starts pouring the oil.

  • A firecracker bursts. HS and Minnie both wish each other for Diwali. HS gets emotional, hugs and kisses Minnie on the forehead. Minnie can sense that something is wrong.

  • The next morning, Lala wishes Dadu and Beeji a happy Diwali and asks them what's their plan for the day? Dadu asks what his plans are. Lala tells them how he used to celebrate it with HS before but now he'll have to celebrate it alone. Dadu tells Beeji how a person can be alone regardless of their age. On one hand, Lala was so happy that HS won't be alone now that his house is settled and on the other, he himself has become alone. Lala explains how when friends get married, their priorities change. Lala talks about how happy he is for HS and that everything is fine. Beeji tells Lala how even they don't have family, but they're still celebrating it with Naeem Bi etc. She invites him over as well. Lala declines at first but Dadu tells him how Diwali isn't a festival meant to be celebrated alone.

  • Lala teases Dadu and Beeji how it doesn't look like they've been married for years. It's as if it's only happened recently. Beeji teases him in return and tells him to find a nice girl and get married. Then even his loneliness will be gone. Lala tells her how his father-in-law won't let him get married to his Geeta Kumari. Beeji tells Lala to straighten the man out. Lala tells them how every time he goes in front of him, he becomes speechless. Beeji asks if Lala doesn't have an elder to speak on behalf of him. He tells her he only has God. Beeji tells him to bring his FIL to them and they'll talk on his behalf. Or better yet, they'll go to him. Lala forbids them from doing that. He'll bring his FIL to them somehow. He also asks to keep this matter a secret from HS. If he finds out, he won't stop pulling his leg.

  • Dadu asks Lala what does he want? Lala says that he wants to change their friendship of two into four. Just like HS got his Babita, he wants to get his Geeta Kumari.
  • Lala leaves saying HS had called him over. Dadu compares Lala to Hanuman Ji in terms of his devotion to HS. He's just as devoted to HS like Hanuman Ji was to Sri Ram.

  • Precap: Minnie is hammering a nail and she yells at Babes not to yell at her. She loses balance is about to fall when HS comes to save her. He tells her to be careful. Babita comments on how she was sure that Minnie will be gone today. HS tells her not to worry. He won't let her daughter go just like that. Minnie rebukes how won't they since she's leaving.
