Saltanat and Zaroon, I felt got involved in Madhav’s situation about which they were rather ignorant about. Thus I thought they were in no position really, to advise Madhav on how live his life. Madhav’s broken marriage is a serious issue. Why such a situation arose? both Zaroon and Saltanat are in the dark about.. However, Madhav is being veered into setting up his present and future life. All was triggered by Zaroon and Neelam. After Neelam confessed her love for Madhav,before Zaroon . Zaroon in turn wanted, Neelam paired with Madhav hastily. So that Madhav could let Saltanat just be Zaroon’s wife!
Saltanat gets the wrong end of the stick when Madhav skirts about and gives Saltanat the false impression, that he already has some one else in his life, related to his past.Presumptive Saltanat hangs on the word past, and becomes sure Madhav meant his ex- wife. whom he still loves. Trouble is both Zaroon and Saltanat give knee jerk reactions! and take it upon themselves to solving complicated and lesser known situations!; they both lack the knowledge of sorting out!
In hindsight it did cross my mind that if Zaroon firmly believes that Madhav has covert designs upon Saltanat other than only friendship, than why would he encourage Neelam to marry Madhav? To formally include the man closer into the Shah fold? It would give more reason to Saltanat and Madhav to deepen the bond Zaroon believesthey share. Would it not be better for Zaroon to ensure Madhav stays well away from Shah Manzil radius??
When the blind lead the blind! They both end up in a ditch! Zaroon continues to support Neelam in her, just met Madhav love. Trouble is both are uninformed about Madhav’s past with Rupali. Humza comes in at the right time and protests over Zaroon and Saltanat both meddling and misleading his sister. I loved when Humza , reiterated that in the past too, he suffered due to Kainat and Zaroon! Now Neelam too is heading towards heart break due to Zaroon and his wife Saltanat. What was Zaroon thinking, when he agreed to takeNeelam with him to Madhav’s house where Saltanat was already trying to patch up things between Madhav and his ex- Rupali??? Without really being aware of the complications in the patch up Saltanat assumed would be easy!! The trouble with both Zaroon and Saltanat isthey just might also have their own agendas! ..in this Rupali Neelam, Madhav trio!
Another thing I found in this episode was how characters influence each others sense of decision making. Characters make decisions more to please others, rather than follow their own conviction.. The ploy of fate’s hand was used to pressurize characters into doing things, characters themselves do not actually believe in.Take Saltanat, who brings an unwelcoming Rupali back to Sharma house, and interprets Rupali and her by chance meeting, as a sign of providence which gives Madhav yet another chance to restore his broken alliance with Rupali !
But Saltanat had to take a step back-wards when she heard that although Rupali came willingly, Madhav forcefully resists her keen endeavour. Five years ago, Rupali‘s selfish decision of choosing her film career ,over her husband and mother-hood, is hard for Madhav as her husband to forgive her for. Saltanat tries to show Madhav, her major disappointment, over his unforgiving attitude. All the more,since Rupali was dying with a life threatening illness. Madhav and his family believe Rupali was crying wolf! and duping Saltanat by her sad story, but the family hold on to their once bitten twice shy mindset towards Rupali. Yet Saltanat aspires to be the peace maker!
One has to say that Saltanat does try to reason with Madhav. As a true friend, she appeals to him with the equation regards forgiveness which she herself experienced. Where Zaroon even lived with Kainat,even tried to kill her , yet she forgave him. Tersely, Madhav snubs Saltanat when he reminds her that Zaroon and him are both different individuals.
Saltanat reasons with Madhav that people do make mistakes. In time people change, But Madhav is adamant that time cannot change the basic nature of a person. Madhav is not prepared to give leeway tohis and Rupali’s relationship. Saltanat ‘s good man image of Madhav ,in facttotters a bit when she watches how Madhav stood in silence when Indu. mouthed off and dismissed Rupali as a sign of ill luck and misfortune for the Sharma’s. I wondered if Saltanat could see that this girl in the past Madhav claimed tohave feelings for, probably was not his wife! who then was this girl? Saltanathopefully will realize that it’s no good Madhav forgiving Rupali just due to her firm persuasion. What ever Madhav decides should not be,to be in Saltanat’s good books.. but what would be good for Krish in the long run!
Indu and Sneha who seemed to have simmered down in their nastiness ever since Kainat left. Now with Rupali ‘s return again revert to scheming and plotting. Seems they want Madhav’s undivided attention forthemselves. Seems contradictory Indu finding girls for him! may be she worriesabout him getting hurting again? This time Sneha suggests they kill the any way, dying Rupali ! Indu does her bit toensure that Rupali ‘s death wish to see her son Krish does not happen! As for Jugal the dirty man once again fails to keep his hands off any woman! goes for Rupali! Looks like dirty Jugalwas caught in the act! Madhav vows tohand him over to the police!
So Saltanat as the peacemaker. Points out Madhav’s mistake of assuming she wasKainat.. and his erratic turns towards her.. yet she forgave him. BesidesRupali regrets her past actions, and as such because she was his wife, Krish’s mother, then all the more ,Madhav should forgive Rupali More so as she was his wife.. will Madhav be coaxed intoaccepting Rupali just to pleaseSaltanat?
That Zaroon over hears Saltanat counselling Madhav. about for giving his ex- wife’s mistake.. like she forgave Zaroon for his far graver mistakes. Does this conversation shake Zaroon up into the realization that Madhav and Saltanat’s friendship is also pure, like theSufiyana love between Saltanat and him. Will this make Zaroon aware. that he spokefar too much against Saltanat too, before the family when he questioned Madhav and Saltanat’s friendship?It’s a good thing that Zaroon realized that previously he lost Saltanat due to his furious Madhav related tirade! Now its time to win hertrust back, with a bit more humble understanding.. he hopes Saltanat will forgive him as usual.. Overall according to Dadi’s banter! Was Saltanat being too much of a busy body sorting out other peoples business? Is Zaroon doing the right thing by heading for Sharma house to collect his wife? is Zaroon also likely to preach upon the blessings of forgiveness like his wife Saltanat ? 23.10.19 hamlet53
