Abrar Qazi to play the hero in ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’

Speculations have been rife over the cast of Yeh Hai Chahatein, a spin-off of the popular show, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’, with reports suggesting that Karan Wahi has been roped in to play the male lead. However, we have been informed by reliable sources that it’s not Wahi, but Abrar Qazi of ‘Gathbandhan’ fame who has been finalised to play the hero. He will be joined by actress Sargun Kaur, who played the protagonist in the supernatural thriller, ‘Tantra’. Sargun will play the female protagonist in the spin-off.

Informs a source associated with the project, “After considering several names, our search for the lead couple has ended with Abrar and Sargun. They are apt for the roles etched out for the central characters in the show.”

Both Abrar and Sargun remained unavailable for comment.

‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ has been a popular show for a few years now, which catapulted actors Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel to fame as Ishita Iyer and Raman Bhalla who get married under certain circumstances involving Raman’s daughter.

Well, that confirms it. Gathbandhan is going off air, it's not fake news - it's real. What a shame :(

Gathbandhan was that show that had great potential but ultimately in the end was underrated, poorly marketed (no promos for example) and creators didn't fix some of the issues with the show.

I will miss Dhanak and Raghu and all the characters..

Cool. He was the best thing on this show. I will try the show when it airs. Looking for some new shows.
