The gist of today's episode is going to be Babita's compensation for mistakenly forgetting Minnie's birthday. Again, I don't think it's that great of a deal but since the writers want to run with this, so shall I.

As we saw in the precap and previous interview segments, all is seemingly fine between Babes and Minnie. Babes bakes her special cake, helps her put on the anklets she had bought for Minnie, and they both once again run around laughing and teasing each other like they used to.

However, as Naeem Bi will rightly point out, these materialistic objects and momentary happiness isn't going to mend the cracks that have formed between their relationship. Babita cannot treat Minnie like a child anymore. She is an adult now and as such, Babita's relationship with her needs to grow.

Previously, Babita used to share all her sorrows and griefs with Minnie, and she used to take care of her. Minnie would put aside her own problems because she knew that rather than helping her find a solution in a calm manner, Babes will freak and stress herself out. However, this behavior can't continue forever.

Now that Minnie has entered into adulthood, she'll need guidance on how to exist in this level of the world not only as an individual but as a woman as well. She needs to feel comfortable enough to go to Babes and seek out for help whenever she may need it, regardless of the nature of her issue. Whether it's a fight between friends, complications in her love life, or even how to deal with hard individuals in the work force, Minnie needs to know that she is free to go to Babes. It's not necessary for Babes to hold the answers to all her questions. But the mere fact that Minnie can even go to her in the first place, if only to vent out her frustrations, will be more than enough for her.

Regardless of the parent, whether it's a mother or a father, every child needs to have this security that they can go to either one of them whenever they feel down or lost. They don't need to take on the world all on their own. They can ask for help when they don't know what to do. For Minnie, this is extremely important since she has been taking on the world for the past one year. She needs to realize that she doesn't need to do that anymore. That phase in her life is now over. She's free to come to her Babes and cry her heart out, or seek her support when she wants to pursue her dreams.

It's the emotional connection that Babes needs to rebuild with her daughter, not fleeting moments of happiness. After all, what's the point of them when they're not genuine or will be susceptible to be looked upon in a negative light?

I do hope Babes realizes this sooner rather than later.

• Lala tells Babita that she's needlessly stressing out. If Minnie had remembered this much then she would have spoke up about it. It's possible that she may forgotten herself due to being stressed for her exams.
• Babita questions how could she forget as a mother? She can't be this careless or selfish. Minnie had to have felt really bad. That's why she didn't eat the sweetened yogurt from her.
• HS tries to console her. She shouldn't stress out too much about it. Whatever surprise she wanted to give her, she can do it in the evening.
• Babita blames him for giving him the medicine and making her go to sleep. If he hadn't, then she would have remembered. HS gets angry and tells her she's not speaking logically. It's not like he knows when it's Minnie's birthday, so why is she blaming him.
• Babita taunts him saying that he's always saying that he's always concerned about his Veer Balika and how he's her father figure. If that's the case then why didn't he ever question her as to when her birthday is when she's been harping on and on about how she's going to turn 18 soon. He didn't do so because he actually doesn't care.
• HS gets offended and apologizes that he made a mistake by giving her some medicines last night. If she wants she can punish him by either cutting off his head or sending him to the noose, but it's all his mistake.
• He leaves for work repeating her accusation of how everything is his mistake. Lala follows him.
• Imraan is playing around and Beeji comments on how Minnie used to the same when she was a kid. She talks about how daughters grow up so fast. Naeem Bi tells her how since the time she has seen Minnie, she's always been a wise child. She also talks about the immense love the mother-daughter have for each other.
• Beeji comments on how there seems to be distances between the two now. Dadu corrects her saying how what she sees as distances is actually just a small tiff. 
• Irfaan comes, telling Imraan that it's time to go. Naeem Bi gets sad and asks Irfaan after how many years will they see each other again? Ruksana tells her not to make them feel embarrassed like that. She promises to invite her over within a month. She also tells Naeem Bi to bring the Khuranas along with her.
• Irfaan, Ruksana and Imraan leave saying goodbye.
• Whilst baking the cake, Babita is freaking out about what Minnie will think about her and of how she forgot to wish her.
• At the station, HS asks Lala what will Minnie think that he didn't wish her. Lala tells him not to worry and that they can air things out in the evening.
• HS tells Lala about how she had come to meet Babes at midnight. Lala questions him how he told Babes that she didn't come. HS explains how he had to lie because he didn't want Babita to get even more upset than she already was.
• Either way Lala tells him not to get tensed. It's not like he knew that it was Minnie's birthday. HS tells him how could he know? It's not like either mother-daughter ever told him whose birthday is when but they still find it within themselves to blame him. He's not able to understand why Babita is being so unfair with him lately over every little thing. Lala reminds him about he once mentioned Babita is going through her Amrit Manthan. HS fears that by drinking all the venom she's spewing, he doesn't want to become venomous in return. At times Babita tells him to discipline Minnie. When he does so, she tells him not to be so strict on her. What is he to do in this situation? In all of this, his and Minnie's relationship is suffering.
• Lala tells him to let it go but HS asks him how can he? He tells Lala that he should take a post out of station / city for a few days so that he can cool himself down and only then rejoin his duty. Lala questions his idea and tells him that he's getting too emotional.
• Babita questions herself if she's getting too emotional over things. She made a mistake and now she needs to figure out a way to rectify it so that she can make Minnie happy.
• Lala tells HS that after marriage, it's normal for couples to bicker with one another. Besides, so much anger is not healthy. He suggests he call up Babita. HS questions Lala if Babita has ever talked to him calmly and tells him to leave it.
• He gets up and leaves. Lala calls after him asking where he's going. HS sarcastically tells him that he's going to hell and if he wants to come along with him. He then follows it up by saying how he can't even go to the bathroom in peace.
• Lala tells himself how he'll have to do something now to calm HS down. He thinks back to how HS & Babita used to send songs to each other. He sends a song to Babita using HS' phone. Babita listens to it and isn't impressed. She's still angry with him and says how her anger won't cool down so easily by him sending a song. She answers back to him by sending another song. Lala listens to it and thinks if HS listens to this then HS will get even more angry. He deletes it and sends a different one to Babita. Babita gets happy listening to it and her anger melts away. She sends him another song in response.
• HS comes back and asks Lala what he's doing with his phone. Lala tells him nothing. When a message arrives, Lala tells HS to see who it is, maybe it's Babita. HS tells him to let him see what new trouble she created. She can't even let him sit in peace. He plays the song that she sent. His anger immediately melts away and goes into lover mode. Lala looks on knowingly.
• HS tells Lala how he thinks Babita's anger has cooled down. Lala asks what about his? HS tells not to be crazy. He asks him if men have a license to be angry in society? Lala tells him yes, to which HS corrects him saying, they don't. Moreover, when your wife messages you sweetly, then a man can't even stay angry for long.
• Minnie comes to meet the Khuranas and tells them and Naeem Bi how her exams went well and she wishes that she gets good marks on them. Naeem Bi tells her she will and asks her if she told Babes yet. She must be waiting eagerly to know how the exam went. Minnie tells Naeem Bi that she'll message Babita and let her know. She asks Dadu if she can stay over at Naeem Bi's and study. She passes it off as the Khuranas being her lucky charms but the adults know something else is up. Nonetheless, they let her stay over.
• Minnie leaves to study. Naeem Bi tells the Khuranas now she understands why they were saying that distances are being created between mother-daughter.
• Naeem Bi asks Babita if she has planned anything for Minnie's birthday. Babita excitedly tells her about the cake she baked and the pair of anklets she bought for her. Naeem Bi tells Babita that Minnie would have been happy to see all this when she was a kid. But right now she needs her as she's transitioning from childhood to adulthood. She needs a mother who can understand her like a friend, answer any questions she may have, and even if she doesn't have the answers, then at least listen to her. She needs her parents' trust. She doesn't need a mother who will feed her and hold her to her chest now. She needs a friend who can understand her the same way she has understand Babita.
• Babita begins to speak but Naeem Bi interjects asking her if she thinks that Minnie is upset because she forgot her birthday, didn't get her a gift or bake her a cake? That is not the case. She advises Babita to not see things from a mother's POV all the time. Sometimes, she'll have to look at things from a daughter's perspective too. Only then will she be able to understand Minnie's pain.
• Naeem Bi further explains how mothers celebrate their children's birthdays because it's a reminder of that memorable day when a woman became a mother. That's why it must have hurt Minnie a bit when Babita forgot. Minnie doesn't need any expensive gifts. She just needs to hear her mother wish her a happy birthday. Maybe she wants a kiss on the forehead or see the same love in her damp eyes that Minnie has for her Babes so that she can be reassured that she is still very important for her mother.
• Babita says how she's waiting for Minnie to come back from college. Naeem Bi tells her that she has already come back and instead of going straight to her as she used to, she went to the Khuranas. Also, rather than going back home, she asked if she can stay there longer citing that she can study better at her place. Naeem Bi tells her that the same Minnie who once taught her how to stand on her own two feet and fly is now going away from her. Is Babita even aware of what she's doing to herself and to Minnie? She knows that Babita doesn't have any answers to her questions but she prods her to introspect on it as she'll find the answers on her own.
• Mickey comes to meet Minnie to talk about her and Babes.
• Precap: Babes apologizes saying how she doesn't know how she forgot her birthday. Minnie tells her that the problem isn't that she forgot to wish her at midnight. Rather, it's how she still hasn't wished her. Babita wishes her a happy birthday and they both hug.

But I feel bad for HS ,he was right  should go to outstation and leave this babita sulking .Seriously it's like she has done any ahsaan in marrying HS.What HS gets after imarti he should regret soon.

On another note, Babita has one heck of patience.. NB is an adorable character but even she has given a complete clean chit to the Khuranas.. most of her Gyan is limited to Babita with an occasional Hanuman thrown in.. she never has tried to impart her oh so great wisdom to Mini or her so called great grandparents.. jiska Dil chahta hai, ajar Babita ko suna kr Chala jata hai.. so idiotic
