Prabhas-Shraddha starrer Saaho director Sujeeth has a Befitting Reply to the film’s brutal criticism
After staying mum for the longest time, director Sujeeth has finally broken his silence and has now spoken about the brutal criticism the film faced. Right from the aloof performance of the lead cast-Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor, that failed to impress the audience to the allegations of plagiarism, the film was brutally nitpicked by critics and fans.
A few weeks back, South superstar Prabhas and Bollywood bustle babe Shraddha Kapoor delivered the year’s most awaited and highly anticipated thriller action Saaho. The film was made with a massive budget of 300 crores and has also turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office. However, despite the grossing numbers, the film faced underwent a maze of criticism from all quarters. Right from the aloof performance of the lead cast that failed to impress the audience to the allegations of plagiarism, the film was brutally nitpicked by critics and fans.
Reportedly, a French filmmaker Jerome Salle had accused the makers of Saaho of plagiarism of copying his film Largo Winch. And, famous fashion critic Diet Sabya also slammed the Saaho makers for copying the poster of the film from Shilo Shiv Suleman’s artwork for their song Baby Won’t You Tell Me. While the film managed to make money, it failed critical value.
