Few rays of sunlight fell on her soft creamy face . She was unconscious for 4 hours. It was 8 p.m of the morning , Malhar was getting ready for police station , freshly bathed , he was buttoning up his uniform. The young maiden was slowly getting her senses back.He could instantly sense her movements from the room that was just next to his room. The lady was holding her head with both of her hands as she was feeling a shooting pain in her head . He could hear a faint voice asking for water . He ran to her and saw her sitting on the bed holding her head . He at once offer her a glass of cool water. She took it and looked at him thankfully . Malhar sat beside her and asked -" Ap kaisa feel kar rahi hai ap?" The young lady replied - Better! Par sar pe thora dard ..... She has 1000 of questions in her eyes as she clearly realized that the place , the man standing near her ,was unfamiliar .Malhar gently smiled at her, and said - " Dont worry ! Ab ap safe hai... Mujhe ap Mumbai - Nasik Highway pe zakhmi halat mein mili thi. Mein hi ap ko yaha le aya...This is my apartment and u are absolutely safe here."
" Thank u Officer." She smiled back feeling relaxed . Malhar said -" Ap apna nam aur address mujhe bata dijiye , mein bakaida zimmedari sahit ap ko apki ghar paucha dunga.. He waited for her reply . Her eyes were closed, she was trying to recollect something . Then after a while she said -" Mujhe kuch yad nhi a raha hai" . Malhar was shocked -" Kya matlab"?She repeated again- " Mujhe apna nam , apna pata, apni wajood se juri kuch yad nhi a raha..... She was becoming restless, she was sobbing , tears roll down from her cheek and she said -" Mujhe kuch kyun yad nhi raha.... mere sar mein itna dard kyun ho raha hai....she looked at him helplessly ... " Mein sach keh rahi hoon officer ! Trust me! Mujhe kuch yad nhi a raha" ! Relax ! He hold her hands immediately . He caressed her hairs and calm her down -"Dekhiye ! Meri bat suniye ! Relax ho jaiye! Dimag pe zor dalne ki koi zaroorat nhi hai....Sab yad a jaiega ....Dheere dheere sab yad a jaiga. Dont panic ! Ho sakta hai ki sar pe chot lagne ki wajah se ap ko kuch yad nhi a raha. Kabhi kabhi ho jata hai aisa . Bas ap stress mat lijiye! Mein huna ap k sath! He hold her hand in affirmation . She got a bit soothed and then put her head on the pillow on the recliner. Then she said -" Bas itna yad hai....ki kuch log kal rat mera picha kar rahe the...aur mein ek sunsan se sarak par daur rahi thi ....Phir sar ki piche bhari sa kuch laga....aur mein shayed gir gayi thi... shayed nhi.... mein ...woh....She was losing her connections between words . Malhar said -" Its ok miss! I understand...Aj k liye itna kafi hai....ab ap aur koi stress nhi daliyega....Ap rest kijiye .
She heaved a sigh and said -" Meri wajah se ap ko kitni trouble ho raha hai.... mein toh thik se apna pehchan vi ap ko nhi de pa rahi hoon.I am so sorry Officer ! Malhar smiled and said -" Aisi bat nhi hai... Situation thori vikat hai.... par sab thik ho jaiga. Suniye! He said -" Dekhiye mere ghar mein toh ap safe hai....lekin abhi is waqt apka bahar jana sahi nhi hoga" .Isliye ap ko jo vi zaroorat hai mujhe ap keh sakti hai.... Mein ek mint ata hoon .He left the room for a while and then bring a notepad , mobile and a pen. He fed two numbers in the phone. He said -" Ap yeh phone rakh lijiye. Koi vi zaroorat hai toh mujhe bata dijiyega . Aur dusra number pawar ka hai...pawar mera bohot loyal aur hardworking constable hai...you can trust me as u can do with him . Ap apni zaroorat ki chiz ka list de dijiye. Mein jàb dopeher ko apka khana bhejunga Pawar ap ko woh saman vi de dega. Kitchen mein sirf maggie aur coffee hai ; wahi do chiz hai jo mujhe banani ati hai. The lady laughed at his cute honest confession .
Malhar got ready , in the meanwhile , she wrote what she needs . Malhar was quite taken aback that he had to bring things of such a long list. He said -" library hai ek choti si , ap books par sakti hai....tv hai...par sirf news channels hai.... Feel free. Mein sham ko aake ap se vistar se bat karunga . The lady came near to him and smiled coyily-" mein apko jitna shukriya kahun utna kam hai... you are doing beyond ur limits officer! Apne mere jan bachayi , meri zaroorat o ka khayal rakha ....bohot bohot shukriya ! .He looked at her gently and said -" Its a duty of a human being and a police officer" Stay safe . Mere aur pawar ki iliawa kisiko darwaza nhi kholiyega... mere pas chabi hai aur pawar ap ko ane se pehele call karega. He showed her pawar" s photo from his phone to restore her safety. Malhar left for police station keeping her alone for a while in his flat.
Malhar return home tired , He unlocked the door with keys and saw her sitting in the sofa deeply engrossed in reading a book. She looks at him and smiled -"Are! ap kab aye ! meine notice hi nhi kiya"
"Dhyan laga ke kitab jo par rahi thi '! smiled Malhar .

Her face dropped ,her eyes filled with tears -" Kash nam vi yad aa jate hai , kam se kam apni wajood ko lekar aise duvidha mein nhi rehti "
Malhar handed over her some bags and said -"Yeh kuch kapre hai ap ke liye aur baki sara saman , suits ka size mujhe pata nhi tha ,toh meine andaze mein liya hai ,aur baki jo ladies stuff hai woh constable leela ki madat se kharidni pari !"
She came to him and gently hold his hand and said- "I am too thankful too be expressed officer ! apki yeh ehesan aur in madat ko mein kaise chuka paungi ?" they were looking at each other with millions of unknown emotion .
Malhar break the silence and said- "Kalyani kaisi rahegi ?" She was taken aback ,she said- "Jee mein samjhi nhi !"Malhar pointed out the bags where there was written "Kalyani Stores", and said "miss ya madam bulane se toh kalyani behetar rehega hai na"
She giggled -" A little old fashioned ,but its nice is nam se ap mujhe bula sakte hai ,par meri do shart hai , !"
He was surprised -"Kaisi shart ?"
Kalyani replied- "ab ap mujhe "aap" nhi bolenge tum kehe sakte hai ,kafi choti hun mein "Aur avi ap rest karenge aur ap ki black coffee mein banaungi!"
Malhar 's face beamed with joy and said - " Toh fir toh tumhe vi mujhe "MALHAR "bulana hoga !
Kalyani -ok ! Malhar ... ji ...They both laughed.
Malhar and Kalyani could see two humming bird perched in a tree , twittering sweetly ,indicating their new bond of friendship .
precap- Kalyani prepared delicious breakfast for Malhar .Malhar saves Kalyani falling from step ladder, Kalyani felt an urgent need of sanitary pads but failed to say that to Malhar , A nightmare haunt Kalyani ending her up in falling in Malhar's arm.
