Ten months after Bollywood actor Alok Nath was accused of rape by a writer-director, the Oshiwara police which is investigating the case is likely to file a closure report in the matter due to lack of evidence. Following the rape accusations, Nath had filed a civil suit in a city court and sought Re 1 as damages for allegedly defaming him. Nath and his wife Ashu, in their complaint, said, "The #MeToo campaign is being cashed by way of utilising the social media for the purpose of gaining fame or for the purpose of defaming."
