NOT Karthik but it's AKKI in Bhool Bhulaiya 2 !!

In the past week, there had been a lot of conjecture about a young actor in the industry who has already been locked to play the lead in the sequel to the 2007 sleeper hit BHOOL BHULAIYAA. We can now confirm, thanks to our highly placed sources that, it was misinformed bit of information and that Akshay Kumar has been once again roped in to play the lead in the new version of the movie 12 years later. The sequel in question is going to mount the sets sometime early next year and Kumar has already given his elusive nod to star in the film after loving the idea of how the story of the movie is going to move ahead. The movie according to our highly placed sources is going to be directed by Sajid Samji (of the Sajid-Farhad duo). The original was directed by Priyadarshan and had Vidya Balan in the main lead. Rest of the cast of the sequel is still going to be figured out. T-Series Films will back the venture just like they did with the first instalment. Watch this space for an official announcement on this very shortly.

Although I'm extremely glad, I don't think a sequel is possible. BB was a masterpiece and should be left untouched but yeah it's not like BW cares about that...

Btw seems like Akki is in almost every upcoming film, he's like the male Alia Bhatt right now 🤣

Thank god. That guy is so bloody overrated. More overrated than Alia bhatt atleast Alia has some talent. He is the first outsider in bollywood who doesn't deserve the hype that he is getting

Apparently there was a sort of sequel to Bhool Bhulaiya in Telugu.

I asked the same question as you in another thread and someone told me this. So they do have a readymade story for the sequel too.

Unless they decide to not copy that one frame by frame, like they copied Manichitratazhu (Malayalam) for the first film.
