SPM ~My Musings~ 5.7.19 Teething problems

It would be an understatement to say that Saltanat and Zaroon’s Sufiyana love is free from problems one faces at the start of a new process. They do venture forth into the world together. But without  the open backing of their family.

Their Sufiyana love’s early stage, creates a problem right on Mainjaan’s doorstep. His authority is challenged when the Saxena’s undermine his command to refuse refuge to the lovers. Before all the Saxena’s offer them temporary housing in their house. Have to say, the CV’s made sure that  Saltanat and Zaroon landlords were a couple who themselves had eloped. Thus who better than Preeti and akshay. to understand Saltanat and Zaroon’s predicament of being rejected by their families. What would have been more realistic is to show, how the two get rejected by those who were married in the traditional way. But the cvs want to show this unconventional couple ticking away without many teething problems.

Court marriage documents  are produced by Zaroon for Mainjaan and the public present as a quickfix problem solving of their current status. Since their unmarried status iscausing both the family and the community at large, much grief.

The only snag is Mainjaan sees it useless , as the family honour and prestige  has already been thrown to the winds! the moment Saltanat  chose to cross the threshold with her love choice. The piece of paper , nor what it entails, nor Zaroon’s supportive words of Saltanat’s concern for family respectability. All are  mere words! that sound sham in wake of what they both have done. Mainjaan is at the stage where he neither hates, nor loves their misdeeds. He is just plain indifferent to them.

Mainjaan reacts to his authority being challenged by the Saxena’s. All Zaroon and Saltanat’s fault. Thus he announces that from now onwards  she has only one granddaughter Kainat..  She qualifies  for all his blessings !As for Saltanat he can only pronounce curses upon her. Saltanat’s and Zaroon  love and the manner in which both went about it, brings out the worst in a revered faith leader. Never mind about mercy from him, he openly condemns that which his faith discourages and prohibits! A man and woman to live in sin!

As for Kainat, who now has his blessings..Alas! little does Mainjaan know that she is no less sinned than Saltanat. Kainat’s graphic self abuse. Her severe self- given harm to herself makes a mockery of her god given gift of life. Only for Kainat, life  becomes a punching bag for all the disappointments, displeasures, dished out to her by the presence of Saltanat. Kainat was sure her fresh scheme will bring Zaroon back home.. but instead she gets the shock of their looming court marriage!!  too much  fury in her to handle!

Kainat’s infirmity lies in a fixed impression that since childhood, Saltanat by her ways, stole everything she set her heart upon! Kainat’s heart suffers at the thought of Saltanat marrying Zaroon.. As a tortured spirit, she screams, hell! She will see how this marriage happens?  It’s noteworthy that somehow Kainat  refuses to accept that Zaroon chose Saltanat over her. For her forever, Saltanat always is the focus of her hate. The one to blame for all her dispossession of joys in her life.

Dadi makes, Kainat the fresh apprentice of dirty family politics! aware that her secret is out! So is her scheming to malign Mainjaan’s publicly That Dadi knows, that it was disguised Kainat  who spread  the news about Saltanat’s pregnancy! News that Dadi then used to create more damage withinmanjaan’s utopia family!

Whether it was true or not didn’t matter to Dadi! As like Kainat  she too is in the business of trouble shootingin the Shah happy family! Kainat's assistance in targeting Mainjaan is much sought after by Dadi! that’s why shekeeps a hold on Kainat.. she knows what she did…

But the precap shows, that when Zainab questions Kainat if she had something to do withspreading the false news of saltanat’s pregnancy ? In response Kainat goes ballistic !she will bulldoze all who come between her and Zaroon! and her dear mother is no exception!

Further more teething problems that Saltanat and Zaroon’s Sufiyana love creates, is kinship  logger heads with heritage, dynasty, shares and rights! Already the air was polluted with ill- feeling  over what Mamoon’s useless son Zaroon did  to both granddaughters Kainat and Saltanat, of Ghazi Shah!

Deeply disgruntled, Mainjaan, too like most people in emotional trauma scenarios ,look to blame others. Mainjaan blames Mamoon Shahs and unceremoniously wants them to return to Canada from whence they came from!

Mamoon’s good manners, respect, grace and regards for Mainjaan go out of the window!

Zaroon ,his love, his marriage to whoever? never mattered to Mamoon. His mission was to gain access to property and assets. To claim his birth rights, what matters to him. His symbolic defiant sitting in Mainjaan’schair say's it all. No way will he budge till he is given his share of all assets that didn’t belong to Mainjaan ,but was rather it was his father who almost in charitable fashion cascaded a part of his dynasty to the powerful  Ghazi Shah. Mainjaan has a rude awakening, to see relationships dash and smash at the demand to gain ! what Mamoon terms as his rightful belonging..

Mainjaan’s whole world is in complete chaos. He  faces , a  birth-right claim to the inheritance; then there is the court marriage. It’s like his power hold, his supremacy of name, fame and wealth is all slipping out of his fingers like fine sand.. and he thought he built his house with the bricks of love, respect for his each other. But seems his house is made out of sand..

Zaroon encourages and gives hope to Sultanat at the dargah. Their relationship like every new process, is not free from problems. But  he assures her,  this separation from there families is not long term. If at all,  loving families like theirs are not apart from each other for long.. there families will soon reunite.

Sultanat/Zaroon scenes contrasts with the almost slinging match between their fathers, Nadeem and  Mamoon! Mainjaan takes a knee jerk reaction to rebuff Mamoon’s claims! Nadeem is appointed as the heir one more time!

Zaroon and Saltanat’s love is based on support, and trust.  At home Mainjaan  watches helplessly, how kinship has cold blood flowing through the veins.. family values and unity is harshly pushed back by love for power, property , status  and rights  to inheritances!  6.6.19 hamlet53

The episode serves as a  good reminder of the heritage and dynasty issue.  Why did Sabina sneer..had Mainjaan accepted her as a bahu.. the house would be free from heavy jolts!

Thanks Lonelythots,Irshita, Arshian for drear comments ,and sandhiya,  mukta mishfan, for reading my work.

Hello hammie,

The most entertaining scene of the episode was definitely the family rift scene.. Mamoon vs. miajaan.

Ah finally.. here I was berating Mamoon yesterday and today , he shows the fire he has in him.. he wants the half-share that is rightfully his. He tells miajaan that he has seized the property that belongs to him. The question is as per the initial story, mamoon’s father chose to leave the country to settle in Pakistan during partition. So how can he rightfully claim the property?  With the land laws that would have come in effect post independence , obviously it would be under miajaan’s name. That isn’t seizing. You didn’t want to reside in the country and choose to leave all and sundry but years later, you cannot come and accuse some one of seizing right?

Miajaan has lost all his rational thinking. He is purely being driven by his emotions of being disgraced, hurt and bruised ego. This is completely personal for him. He is putting on a brave front but I guess soon he will crumble down. As it is , his world is crumbling down..

Again, miajaan keeps bringing in kainaat when speaking to sultanat time and again. But the fact is that , right now he is least bothered about kainaat. If he was, he would’ve had a word in private with her after the marriage fiasco. Everything right now is so much about him than about anyone else right now.

saroon.. since the track now is to earn miajaan’s acceptance and affection , they will resolve this family feud.

Dadi is no fool.. she knows Kainat’s foxy behavior. Lol.. everyone seems to have an upper hand over kainaat.

Kainaat-can we move on? If they can show her plot-plan intelligently and do some great damage , it would be entertaining to watch her. Otherwise, I find it a waste of screen time.

Hello hammie,  helooo mate, good to see you..

The most entertaining scene of the episode was definitely the family rift scene.. Mamoon vs. miajaan.

yes... the most important M between them was money!

You didn’t want to reside in the country and choose to leave all and sundry but years later, you cannot come and accuse some one of seizing right?

good  you pointed out @ bold   ,have to say there was many such cases during partition.. but like you pointed out.. they can be disapplied.. according to the prevalent law of the land.. my ancestors went through similiar scenarios.. only know we see it as a rich diverse connection of our roots extending across  seperate two!  but as for Mamoon.. he has the nerve to claim rights when he himself  pays his taxes to another country.. but overall many citizens settled  aboard with  root origins else where, do look to claiming thier inheritances.. So Mamoon to is no acceptance.. but the whole  confrontation  does look  ugly..

Miajaan has lost all his rational thinking. He is purely being driven by his emotions of being disgraced, hurt and bruised ego. This is completely personal for him. He is putting on a brave front but I guess soon he will crumble down. As it is , his world is crumbling down..

the cvs now I suspect show how a  man of faith with his statue can also go through weak moments..  he upheld not only his name but the name of his ancestors too.. because of his larger than life persona, his suffering creates pathos  in  me

Again, miajaan keeps bringing in kainaat when speaking to sultanat time and again. But the fact is that , right now he is least bothered about kainaat. If he was, he would’ve had a word in private with her after the marriage fiasco. Everything right now is so much about him than about anyone else right now.

yes.. the I syndrome.. may look to us as his weakness at this moment in time.. how he  finds the best  possible solution  is going to be interesting to watch

saroon.. since the track now is to earn miajaan’s acceptance and affection , they will resolve this family feud.

yes i  too agree with you.. this inheritance feud  has been kicked up! so saltanat and zaroon emerge as the two young, who prevent the family from disintegration

Dadi is no fool.. she knows Kainat’s foxy behavior. Lol.. everyone seems to have an upper hand over kainaat.

they do, but Kainat  just  does her own thing.. till  saltanat/zaroon;'s love  continues, me hoping that  Kainat too will do her own thing !

Kainaat-can we move on? If they can show her plot-plan intelligently and do some great damage , it would be entertaining to watch her. Otherwise, I find it a waste of screen time.

she is into theatrics  momentarily..  mostly to let off steam.. she is beginning to realize thar all her ways to get to zaroon have road blocks.. maybe shall take a  short cut,,

Lonelythots thanks so much for  engaging comment   always a pleasure to reply.. much love hammie
