That and the fact the movie became such a big deal was my reason was watching. Shahid Kapoor sure as hell didn’t draw me in 🤣 But hey after this I’ll make fun of him a little less 🥳

It's not Shahid for me, but music is wat worked for this movie. So it did for Aashiqui 2...

But I still voted fr 1st

Shahid's acting and attitude in the movie. That's what made the movie a hit.

And the music, Bekhayali and Kaise Hua are on loop!

its high time filmmakers stop being lazy and focus on MUSIC. Music is a a very big factor, and i personally believe that films like Aashiqui-2, Ek Villain and Kabir Singh got a big boost with the masses DUE TO MUSIC. This is what happens when you focus on TALENT and not remaking old songs because you're lazy.

I think the outrage has definitely helped the film at box office. I was not interested in the film because of the very same reason that the movie will glorify toxic masculinity but seeing the outrage I'm kinda considering to watch the film. Still don't find it worth it because the love story is outdated for me. 

Shahid is a factor but the fact that it is a remake of a successful film down south, people may have wanted to flock into theatres to check it out.

Vijay Devarakonda aur Shahid Kapoor ka comparison bhi karna hoga naa! 

Not to forget, controversial filmon ko bahut footage milta hai. 

Aur maine toh songs sunne nahi, magar they've been hyped up.
