Tumi Robe Nirobe - An AnuPre OS
Anurag Basu was humming Tumi Robe Nirobe, as he sat caressing the letter he had just finished writing. The letter for his beloved wife on the special day of their life... The letter that may take years to reach her, till he cross a thousand sea to meet his dearest...
Dear Prerna,
On our third wedding anniversary, as I cherish all our treasured moments, all those wild adventures ignited by you, I'm writing this letter as a token of our adoration. I'm writing this letter to you, my darling, to let you know what it means to me to love you, cherish you, and take care of you... even after you are dead. I want you to love me just the same. Oye Ladki, even if you don't want to be in my way, you will linger by, in my fondest memories. For you can't help it, nor can I! Maa wanted me to move on, as she thinks I'm lonely, very lonely... But I could not Priyu, I could not! Even after two years, darling, you are my only fantasy, my only reality... I've met many nice girls dear, many of them. But you, dead, are so much more beautiful, so much more better than anyone else alive. All those Mishkas, Chandrikas, Aparnas and Komolikas - they all to me are ashes, nothing else but ashes... Writing this letter, I realised - we both can live again, yes we can! Drinking a drop of 'lethe' - you and me... Making sand castles, or drenching in the rain or we can learn French together, just like you wanted! When the charm of the 'lethe' will cease - I will be standing in front of you, with outstretched arms, crossing a thousand sea, I will come to mingle into your warmth -- to find a new reality of mine.
Happy Anniversary Love
Yours ever,
Anurag.

Translation by Rabindranath Tagore himself:
Thou shalt dwell in silence in my heart, like the full moon in the summer night.
Thy sad eyes shall watch over me in my wanderings. The shadow of thy veil shall rest upon my heart.
Thy breath like the full moon in the summer night shall hover about my dreams, making them fragrant!
English Translation of the Rabindrasangeet by me:
You are in the silent crevices of my heart,
my beloved-
like the blissful moonlight
of a full moon night.
Settled in my heart
ever so quietly.
You shall fill my youth
and my world alike
with pride
like the ever so fulfilling
moonlit night.
Oh my beloved, you are
in the silent crevices of my heart.
Your compassionate eyes
shall stay awake
to cover me
in their serene shade.
You shall fill my agonies and pain
dreams and desires alike
with your 'aromatic' honor and pride
much like the ever so blissful
moonlit night.
You shall stay in the silent crevices
of my heart,
ever so quietly.
P.S :- The translation might not be up to the mark. However, it was just an honest endeavor by me.
