I am really enjoying the current phase of the serial, so just wrote a rather long one shot on what may happen after the exhibition. Of course the drama factor is much lower than the actual show but I hope all of you like reading it ....
EXHIBITION MATCH
It had been 2 days since the exhibition had got done . The charity event had gone off so well with Abirs scenery masterpiece being sold for 20lakhs, the highest so far at any event. Mishti had expected Abir to be over the moon with the success but he had just vanished after that . She wanted to ask him how her dance was but he seemed be avoiding not only her but Kunal also like a plague. Kunal had mentioned to her that Abir was unwell and he does tend to get aloof and quiet when he was not well. Abir had given clear instructions on the work that needed to be done at the NGO but as usual no one knew where he went the night after the exhibition.
The other bomb had dropped just a day after. Meenakshi Aunty has visited home the next day evening and had asked to speak alone with her parents. She took the opportunity to go to Abirs secret hide out to search for him but to her dismay he was not there as well. She just sat there speaking to the lake what came to her mind. Mishti really needed her Friend now and she decided that she was going to take her first months salary and get him a phone .
When she came back dejected and very annoyed with Abir , she saw that her parents looked like they had seen a ghost. Now what had Meenakshi Aunty done ? Her bade papa sat her down and told her that Meenakshi aunty was not interested in perusing the alliance further and they want her to be strong and even if this alliance does not work out she is the best and will find someone who understands her and accepts her with all her realities.
Kunal apparently had some reservations on how things were progressing between them. She went to her room and quietly thought back on their interactions. She was quite sure by now that she was unable to form a connection with him. She thought that this news would sadden her but she sort of felt relieved by the news. Kuhu came out of the bathroom singing and asked her what happened. Mishti just informed her that she will not be seeing Kunal for marriage any longer and he was also not interested in her. Kuhus face lit up for a second before she masked it and told Mishti that she was sure she will get someone better.
Kuhu felt bad for Mishti but went to the balcony and did a happy dance. What if Kunal was attracted to her ? #toobad because she was not going to entertain that anytime soon especially after all that he put her through without even thinking about standing up to that dangerous mom of his!
The next morning Mishti was getting desperate to speak with Abir. She did not feel the need to have an elaborate discussion with Kunal. He had messaged her the previous night that he felt that it’s better that they do not progress this relationship . Mishti had replied back saying that she hoped that they could continue to be friends . He had replied back with .. of course ! She was happy that they had not even had a single remotely romantic conversation in all these days and maybe that’s why she just felt relief instead of sadness. Kunal was a nice guy but she was happy that she was not going to marry a guy who sets up his dates using a scary PA.
Now where was Abir?? She wanted to tell him about this and wanted to discuss all the exciting plans she had for more such events and initiatives at his NGO. Now that this marriage talk was done, she could actually focus on building her career with Abirs guidance. They worked so well together and she had learnt so much from him in just a day.
As Mishti was at the breakfast table, her bade papa asked her with great concern if she was ok. He looked so disturbed from last night that she went and gave him a big hug. She told him that it did not matter if this relationship did not materialise. She was anyway not ready for marriage and she also had a good job now . For some reason his mood did not lift . She decided that she would take Kuhus help to take them all out for a movie so they would stop acting like the world was coming to a stop .
Bade papa was happy that Mishti had taken this setback so well but gave a worried glance to his wife telling her once again as he had last night . Meenakshi had managed to dig out Namans reality and it was only a matter of time before Mishti came to know about it. It was time that they told her the truth. He knew somewhere in his heart that she was now strong enough to handle it.
The day after the exhibition Abir had woken up from his worst nightmare . Kunal and Mishti getting engaged and he being helpless. He was still trying to process his feelings. There was anger at himself , frustration at the situation , guilt when he looked at his brother and worst of all the actual attraction to Mishti that he was finding it very hard to now hide. Every time he looked at Mishti, he got reminded of the day when she pulled a stool to get him to listen to her, when she wore his clothes and looked cute as a button, she was really his violent angry Chorni. He was in serious trouble now that he was able to put a finger to why he was getting affected with all of those little things regarding Mishti. She had managed to steal his heart and what on earth was he going to do now ? He knew he needed to get out of this place.
He called his office, made sure that they had instructions for the next few days , packed his backpack and headed out as always without a phone. He was heading towards Bhuj to the place where he had found Mishtis earrings . Maybe the place and the solitude will give him some answers on how he should handle the situation. He knew Mishti was going to use her brown belt on him when he came back but now that just brought a smile to his face before his mind called out again that his brother was dating his love and he was clueless on what to do....
