She took too much of a long break after Cocktail - she should've capitalized on that success instead of waiting for 4 years 

Diana has started hobnobbing with prominent people from the industry only now which is a little too late. Also, like Shaitan-Haiwan said, she didn’t capitalise on the success of Cocktail and took a 4 year break which gave the impression of her not being too serious.
