It had nothing to do with Mother's Day. She went to meet them cause she was in NY for MetGala and Rishi is being treated there for cancer. Pretty much every celeb who visits NYC from SRK to Aamir has paid a courtesy call at Rishi and Neetu's place in NY, Deepu did the same. Also this was not a post by Deepika but by Neetu on her IG.

This is the post Deepika made about Mother's Day tagging her mother and her mother-in-law. Her mother-in-law is there in US with her btw and so is Ranveer's nana and a lot of extended family.
