A cute 10 year old Malhar happily cooed a few days old baby girl.
M: dekho kalyani rote nhi hai warna fir mujhe daat padegi! Kya tum chahti ho ki tumhare dost ko daat pade?
He asked and as if she was trying to understand, she stopped crying and looked at him intently.
M: aunty ne kaha mai abhi chota hu tumhe godi nahi le sakta warna mai tumhe pakka godi leke ghumaata
He told her and she smiled in return he smiled too.
M: good girl! Jab tum badi ho jaogi na to ham khub khelenge! Wo kya kehte hai ghar ghar..haa wo bhi khelunga tumhare saath mai...
He said remembering how his female classmates play in the school and talk..
He like this talked on and on until she slept peacefully making him chuckle.
M: itni boring thi kya meri baatein lekin bacche ke liye sona accha hota hai toh baby girl tumhe maaf kiya maine.
He smiled again and went to his home when Kalyani's mother Anupriya returned from neighbourhood.

A two year girl was waiting intently on the entrance when she heard the sounds of bus honk and she happily clapped and stood up and went towards the door!
Malhar's mother opened the gate and as soon as Kalyani saw Malhar getting out of the school bus, she jumped in his arms making him giggle.
M: to babygirl tumhe pata chal gaya
K: Haan Mahar!
She said in her childish tone
Malhar's Mother: Chalo andar chalo aur Malhar kapde badalke khana khaa lo.
M: ji aayi.. Kalyani tum khana khaogi?
He asked as he walked inside with her in his arms!
K: ye bhi koi puchne ki baat hai? Tumhe pata hai mai subah se tumhara inzaar( intezaar) kar rihu ki kab Mahar aayega aur hum khana khayenge.
He chuckled at this
M: nautanki baaz sab pata hai mujhe! Meri saari chocolate khaa ke baithi ho tum. Tumme se chocolate ki smell bhi aari h
K: aise to tumme se bhi gandi smell aari hai! Tumne kya khaya?
She said innocently but he laughed at her trick.

Kalyani hid behind Malhar as her mother called out her name. And Malhar smiled at this.
M: aunty rehne dijiye na agar wo mujhe rakhi nhi bandhna chahti to its ok!
Anupriya: par Malhar..
K: mai Malhar ko kabhi rakhi nhi bandhungi! Wo mera dost hai bhai nhi.
A seven year Kalyani announced hiding behind Malhar.
Malhar made her face him and sat on his knees to come face to face with her!
M: ek dost aur bhai mei kya fark hota hai babygirl?
K: dost se ham saari baate share kar sakte hai but bhai bure hote hai hamesha daatte hai.
She said and all laughed at this.
M: aur aisa tumse kisne kaha kalyani?
K: meri dost ne bataya mujhe! Uska bhai use bohot pareshan karta hai isliye tum sirf dost ho! Bhai nhi!
M: accha ok! Mai tumhara dost hu! Sirf dost!
He smiled and she hugged him.
But Anupriya understood the real meaning behind the drama! She knew how her daughter was fond of Malhar and she always admired the fact but the mother in her never wanted to see her daughter break! So to keep her away from Malhar she made a decision to send her in Pune's boarding school.
K: Malhar tum aayi ko bolo na mujhe tumhe chod ke kahi nhi jana!
She said as a 17 yr old him was still shocked. She held his his hand and shook him
M: huhh??
K: Malhar plz aayi ko bolo mujhe kahi nhi jana.
He wiped the lone tear and bent to her level.
M: dekho kalyani tumhe jana padega! Waha acche se padai karna aur wapas aajana. Balki mai tumhe khud lene aaunga!
K: par Malhar..
He put his finger on her lips!
M: shh! Kalyani! Agar tum rogi toh mujhe bhi to rona aayega! Plz ro nhi!
She hugged him and cried more.
Anupriya: chalo Kalyani!
She then took him and later kalyani went with her father to Pune but before leaving she took a promise from Malhar that he will call her everyday and will talk to her atleast half an hour. Malhar was so emotional that he agreed to her silly demand.
That day both of them cried because of their separation.
A few years later, kalyani was as usual waiting near the reception for Malhar's call and smiling!
K(in mind): bas ek aur saal Malhar then I am coming back to you! Bas ab jaldi se 12th complete hojaye aur mai wapas aurangabad jau!
She was happy at the fact and suddenly the telephone rang!
K: Malhar itni der kyu lagayi call karne mei? Kaha the tum?
She bursted on him as soon as she picked up the phone.
M: oh god baby girl itna gussa accha nahi hota! Mai thoda busy tha bus!
K: itne busy ki tum hamara time bhi bhul gaye. Jao mujhe tumse koi baat nhi karni. Katti
M: arree kalyani suno toh sahi! Accha sorry baba! Agli baar nhi hoga aisa!
K: hmm ab theek h! Tumhe pata hai class mei first aayi firse!
M: of course woh to hona hi tha! Aakhir tum itni intelligent jo ho.
K: woh to mai hu!
M: accha kalyani! Ek good news tumhare liye bhi hai!
K: kya good news hai?
M: meri shaadi tay hogayi hai!
K: kya??
M: Kalyani tum to aise kya keh rahi ho jaise ki ye koi shocking news ho!
K: Malhar lekin itni jaldi?
M: kalyani ab nhi to kab mai 27 ka hu! Ab nhi ki to koi ladki nhi milegi!
K: mai to hu na tumhare liye!
She whined and he laughed!
M: haha of course babygirl tum ho but mujhe shaadi bhi to karni hai.
K: dekho Malhar ek baar fir soch lo! Kya pata wo ladki drugs leti ho ya kisi aur ke saath chakkar ho uska toh!
M: kalyani mai ne sab check kiya hai! She is perfect
K: accha!
Her mood dipped low
M: kya hua? Tum khush nhi ho?
K: han.. Nhi toh wo bas aise hi chalo mai baad mei baat karti hu aur haa mujhe us ladki ki picture mail kardena.
She cut the call and went straight to her room!
On the other hand he got surprised at this!
M: ajeeb ladki hai..jab call kiya to daatne lagi ki late kyu kiya aur ab khud hi itni jaldi phone cut kardiya...
He anyway mailed a selfie of him and sampada to her..
She was crying inconsolably as she remembered her words! She had feelings for him! As she heard a png sound from her laptop, she checked her mail which was from him!

K: Malhar ki choice ko pata nhi kya hogaya hai? Sampada..
She again closed the laptop and next day when he called! Her friend came about the call!
Friend: kalyani tere liye call aya hai!
K: jaake kehdo mujhe baat nhi karni aur ainda call na kare!
She again closed the door and studied for her 12th and opened her gmail to see mails from him which she never read to prevent her heart from breaking further!

An 18 year Kalyani finally entered Malhar's place and her first spot was his room, not now but since forever..
As she stepped in his room, she found him standing, facing the wall hence his back was towards her!
She forgot her pain for a moment and lovingly called him
K: Malhar..
M: so ab finally tumhe waqt mil gaya mujhse baat karne ka..
He said turning towards her! The expression on his face told her that he was super angry but she couldn't understand why?
K: kya hua Malhar?
M: arey wah kalyani itna concern... Kaha tha ye concern jab mujhe meri hone waali biwi mandap se chod ke bhaag gayi thi apne aashiq ke saath? Kaha thi tum haa jab mujhe apni dost ki sabse zada zarurat thi? Kaha thi tum jab mujhe tumhari sabse zada zarurat thi? Kaha thi bolo? Tumhe pata hai na ki mai apna dard aur apni khushi sabse pehle tumhare saath baatta hu aur fir kisi aur ke saath! To fir aisa kyu kiya kalyani?kyu? Kitne calls kiye, kitne emails kiye but ek ka bhi jawaab nahi diya tumne kalyani! Kyu kiya aisa?
He held her arms and shook her! As she was shocked hearing him.
K: toh tum married nhi ho?
M: huh?
Now was his turn to get shocked!
