I think the biggest reason why Simmba worked was because it's the holidays and people were mega upset by Zero. When Simmba came, many's perception was Simmba will not work. Until people went to theatre to watch and the strong WOM came out. That's when the film started winning! Going in expecting it to be a regular affair and coming out thinking it was a regular affair but with a difference! And it's not the storyline that was different but Veer and the way he handled the role. IMO Veer deserves the most credit for this film's success. And knowing him, I'm glad he took different films and his own time to reach here. He learnt a lot along the way, tasted failures to humble himself, believed in himself(to be able to handle SLB kind of filmdom) and ofcourse not restricting himself into any genre. He is hands down the best actor of his generation! It's not easy to mould into a genre and ace the genres. He knows audience pulse. Today u just have to keep doing different than same old! He won't have any trouble in fitting into any role given that he gains experience from all these movies. Tell me how to be not feel proud as a fangirl?!

Also since discussion is happening just want talk about the song Tere bin. When it released I saw it once. Chemistry I saw zero and Simmba i thought looked funny. And I think from Friday itself I've given it a million views and counting. 😆 Suddenly there's so much chemistry. Suddenly Simmba looks so hot. I don't get it. Seems like seeing the song in context of the movie changed everything for me. I seemed to have a whole crush on him now lol. I wanna know if it's only me.😆

Gosh never thought I would like a masala film this much.. Hats off to Rohit Shetty.. Loved the message.. Loved the execution.. What a powerful background score.. Ala re ala simmba ala.. I m humming literally..

First half was laugh riot but it was just another good movie until Simmba explosion track started.. From the scene where Simmba exploded against Ashutosh Rana then the subsequent plots to Akruti track- there was no looking back.. From very good it became outstanding!!!!

Ranveer ke bare me kya bolu yaar!!He is such an amazingly magnetic actor.. What a charming screen presence.. Looking delicious in bulked up police avatar and in khakee..he is the best actor of this generation hands down!! Not only this generation I feel Ranveer is going to secure his place among the greats in sheer diversity of his range.. Mark my words - a hardcore Aamir fan is saying this..

Sara was sweet. Thats it but she didn't look awkward with Veer. I loved Ashutosh Rana and the girl who was doing Akruti's role.. Sonu Sood was fantastic..

Due to BMS fiasco yesterday I had to book in a single screen.. Ek alag ho maza aya tbh.. All the seetis taalis and the roars during Simmba, Singham and Sooryavanshi's entry - honestly its unmatched experience.. And the message of the film is something I personally believe in so I think I have watched the best film of the year⭐️

Man, people who dint love masala films also loved it and it has a lot to do with the actor playing simmba. Ranveer has given his best and it is seen in the performance, does his job with all honesty and it shown in his performance. You can feel the pulse of the movie through him, he makes u laugh, cry and also feel his anger and helplessness in certain situations.

I even teared up during a scene..

I was too, since masala genre is not my cup of tea, but then he acted his pants off and owns SIMMBA.. the trailer did not do justice to the film i feel.
