Should Shahrukh now start playing father roles?

I mean not cliched Babuji role but something like Anil did in Dil Dhadakne Do.

No problems in playing father's role. He has already played father's role in the movies like KKHH, K3G, Ra. One, MNIK. But if you talking about supporting roles then No, he shouldn't do that. He should be the lead hero of the film. He should now do age appropriate character roles and medium budget movies.

I want to see him in a movie like Taken! It's a "father" movie but it's one of the best I've ever seen that I rewatch all the time so Khans should stop thinking that romancing is better than playing age appropriate roles.

Not necessarily father roles.. but anything. I want to see him in a psychological thriller/mystery... where he plays a Psychology/Philosophy professor..

He can play single parent, drunk, druggie, depressed, divorced, window, midlife crisis, dirty grandparents, retired military officer, secret spy, coach etc types of characters. At least not typical lover boy.

He should do movies with good scripts and good roles. The problem is his recent movies have either a good role but sloppy script and vice versa

I think he should play roles that suit his age, like he really looks weird romancing and dancing around with young actresses. Noone can deny the fact that he hasn't aged well. All that smoking for years reflects clearly on his face. So he actually doesn't look good playing such roles and should try something hatke for a change. I liked his role of football coach in Chake de India, he should do more of such roles.
