Saw the movie. First half is brilliant and I cannot help but say that Shahrukh was fabulous. Anushka was good but inconsistent.

Second half until Kat's exit was good. Then things began to go downhill. It was just boring thereafter. A huge SRK fan like me who was literally counting the days to this movie was scrolling through instagram through that bit. It picked up again in the climax though, but the damage was already done.

Katrina was outstanding from her entrance till her exit. Especially her first scene, fabulous.

You're seeing national holiday but not the clash. Not even bringing akki but john. John got a bigger opening than srk. If he had holiday advantage then he also had a disadvantage of clash

John got a bigger opening, really let that sink in. No excuses of non holiday would do specially with the kind of film it is

Every movie has its own space. It's only in in BW where people compare chalk and cheese together.

A movie where the main leads are a dwarf and a handicapped woman with a speech impediment is not going to have the opening that a big masala movie would. It's actually good if it came close to a desh bhakti movie.

Star power has never been everything. Why does Dhoom open so much bigger than Dhobhi Ghat? Why does Judwa 2 open so much bigger than October?

Average template movies get the audience on board easily because they expect their stars to give them the usual entertainment. For more unusual movies people wait for the word of mouth and if it's not good, then obviously it flops. 😆
